MECHANISM OF UREA/SOLID ACID INTERACTION UNDER STORAGE CONDITIONS AND STORAGE STABLE SOLID COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING UREA AND ACID
Solid rinsing, cleaning and/or sanitizing compositions for various applications are provided. In particular, solid compositions include a complex of urea and an acid having desirable storage stability previously unavailable in solid urea/acid compositions. Stable solid compositions are disclosed and methods of making the same to overcome conventional limitations associated with forming kinetically and thermodynamically stable solids that utilize urea/acid compositions.
Sulfoperoxycarboxylic acids, their preparation and methods of use as bleaching and antimicrobial agents
The present invention relates to novel sulfoperoxycarboxylic acid compounds, and methods for making and using them. The sulfoperoxycarboxylic compounds of the invention are storage stable, water soluble and have low to no odor. Further, the compounds of the present invention can be formed from non-petroleum based renewable materials. The compounds of the present invention can be used as antimicrobials, and bleaching agents. The compounds of the present invention are also suitable for use as coupling agents.

METHOD FOR REMOVING RUST FROM A SURFACE
Described is a method for removing rust from a rusted surface comprising the steps of a) applying to the said surface a first composition comprising a penetrating oil, and b) applying to the said surface a second composition comprising at least one thiol compound, the thiol compound being a thiol substituted carboxylic acid, or a salt or alkyl ester thereof, wherein step b) is carried out prior to, or subsequent, to step a), a kit comprising said first and second compositions, a composition and also to the use of said composition for rust removal.
COLOR CHANGING FALLOUT REMOVER COMPOSITION AND USES THEREOF
A vehicle exterior surface cleaning composition includes at least one benzenediol A surfactant and a thioglycolate are also present in an aqueous diluent. A method of cleaning a vehicle exterior surface is also provide that includes the composition being applied to a vehicle exterior surface. After sufficient contact time, the composition loosens iron containing debris before removing the composition to clean the surface. The composition changes color upon contact with the iron containing debris to provide a visual signal of contamination. The composition removes iron containing debris with limited odor of hydrogen sulfide or ammonia.
Glucamides In Syndet Soaps
Disclosed are compositions containing:at least one N-alkyl-N-acyl glucamine as component A;at least one fatty acid and/or soap as component B;at least one acyl isethionate as component C;sodium isethionate as component D;water as component E; andoptionally, at least one other additive as component F. More than 20 weight percent, preferably more than 70 weight percent of the N-alkyl-N-acyl glucamines contain at least one C.sub.12- and/or C.sub.14- and/or C.sub.16- and/or C.sub.18-acyl group. Said compositions can be used as bars of soap.
Softening agent
A softening agent includes: a component (A) which is a compound represented by formula (1); and a component (B) which is an alcohol with 6 or more carbons. R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represent a hydrocarbon group with 6 or more and 24 or less carbons, with the proviso that at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a hydrocarbon group having a branch chain; A.sup.1O and A.sup.2O each independently represent an alkyleneoxy group with 2 or more and 4 or less carbons; x1 and x2 each independently represent an average number of added moles, which is a number of 0 or more and 10 or less; and M is a cation. ##STR00001##
