A composition for use in recycled food and beverage containers is disclosed. A mixture of a strong sequestrant, a weak sequestrant, a polymer, an antiscalant and a surfactant is disclosed. Methods directed to using the composition are also disclosed. A composition that cleans and also reduces the defects present on the external surface of containers during a wash cycle is disclosed. The composition may or may not have metallic salts.

Viscoelastic amphoteric surfactant based composition for increasing oil well production

Alkaline or neutral viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. According to the invention, cleaning compositions have been developed using viscoelastic surfactants in a neutral, acidic or alkaline cleaning formulations. These provide the dual benefit of thickening as well as an additional cleaning, thereby improving performance. Applicants have also identified several pseudo linking agents which when, used with viscoelastic surfactants provide viscoelasticity in alkaline cleaning compositions.

Solution for removing various types of deposits

The invention relates to cleaning deposits of various natures from metal, glass and ceramic surfaces of industrial equipment and can be used for the removal of such deposits, as metal oxides (iron, chromium, nickel, etc.), carbonate and salt deposits, asphalt-tar-paraffin deposits and deposits of an oily nature, deposits of organic and biological nature (bacterial deposits). The proposed solution for removing deposits of different natures comprises hydrogen peroxide, complexing agent, calixarene and water in the following quantitative ratio, wt. %: hydrogen peroxide, 2-90; complexing agent, 3-30; calixarene, 0.01-10; water, the balance. EFFECT: increased degree of cleaning off deposits of various natures with simultaneous reduction of solution aggressiveness to structural materials.

Composition and method for making converter-dissolver composition for dissolving metal sulfate scales from surfaces

A converter-dissolver composition in an aqueous solution of carbonate or bicarbonate, chelating agents, hydroxide base, and surfactant wetting agent. A mixture of the chelating agents and carbonate or bicarbonate is diluted with deionized water. The mixture reacts for five minutes. The hydroxide base is added to the mixture to form an in-situ reaction with the carbonate or bicarbonate and reacted for another five minutes. The solution pH is adjusted with the chelating agent. The surfactant wetting agent is added. The aqueous solution is heated to 70-230° C. and applied to a surface of oil or gas well and pipeline equipment with metal sulfate scales in a ratio of 3.78 liters of the aqueous solution per 0.45 kilograms of the metal sulfate scales. The aqueous solution reacts for 0.25-1.5 hours to dissolve the metal sulfate scales. The aqueous solution and dissolved metal sulfate scales are flushed from the surface.

METHOD OF LAUNDERING FABRIC

A method of laundering fabrics includes: a) contacting a laundry detergent to water to form a wash liquor, wherein the laundry detergent includes detersive surfactant, wherein the wash liquor includes detersive surfactant at a concentration in the range of from 100 ppm to 2500 ppm; b) contacting fabric to the wash liquor, and washing the fabric in the wash liquor; c) after a period of time of at least 6 minutes from contacting the fabric to the wash liquor, introducing calcium cations into the wash liquor to form a calcium enriched wash liquor, wherein the calcium enriched wash liquor includes calcium cations at a concentration in the range of from 20 ppm to 400 ppm; d) washing the fabric in the calcium-enriched wash liquor for a period of time of at least 2 minutes; and e) removing the excess calcium-enriched wash liquor from the fabric, and rinsing the fabric in water.
