Wet wipes with a combination of glycines for improved preservative properties

A cleaning composition including a preservative formulation having a glycine, a diol and a phospholipid complex is disclosed. The cleaning composition can be loaded on a cleaning wipe and used for personal care. The glycine and diol provide a preservative booster to the preservative system for the cleaning composition containing a phospholipid complex, such as cocamidopropyl PG-dimonium chloride phosphate, which has some limited independent preservation activity, depending on the level in the final formulation.

Viscoelastic amphoteric surfactant based cleaning compositions

Alkaline or neutral viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. According to the invention, cleaning compositions have been developed using viscoelastic surfactants in a neutral, acidic or alkaline cleaning formulations. These provide the dual benefit of thickening as well as an additional cleaning, thereby improving performance. Applicants have also identified several pseudo linking agents which when, used with viscoelastic surfactants provide viscoelasticity in alkaline cleaning compositions.

Cleaning and disinfecting composition

The disclosed invention relates to a two-part liquid composition for cleaning and disinfecting a substrate, comprising: (A) a disinfectant medium comprising peracetic acid; and (B) a supplemental medium comprising a non-enzymatic cleaner, a corrosion inhibitor, and a chelator. The supplemental medium (B) may further comprise an enzymatic cleaner, a surfactant, a buffer, a pH modifier, or a mixture of two or more thereof. The substrate may be a medical device, for example, an endoscope.
