20180044615 · 2018-02-15 ·

Stabilized hydrogen peroxide-containing compositions and methods of making same are disclosed. The compositions contain a stabilizer system made up of a disulfonate surfactant, a diester solvent, and a sulfonic acid or a salt thereof in a sufficient quantity to provide the stabilized hydrogen peroxide with an acidic pH value. The compositions are suitable for use as disinfectants, as cleaning agents, and in various personal care applications such as hair care and tooth whitening.

MECHANISM OF UREA/SOLID ACID INTERACTION UNDER STORAGE CONDITIONS AND STORAGE STABLE SOLID COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING UREA AND ACID

Solid rinsing, cleaning and/or sanitizing compositions for various applications are provided. In particular, solid compositions include a complex of urea and an acid having desirable storage stability previously unavailable in solid urea/acid compositions. Stable solid compositions are disclosed and methods of making the same to overcome conventional limitations associated with forming kinetically and thermodynamically stable solids that utilize urea/acid compositions.

Alkaline cleaning compositions comprising a hydroxyphosphono carboxylic acid and methods of reducing metal corrosion

The invention relates to compositions, methods of manufacture, and methods for reducing metal corrosion during alkaline cleaning. In particular, the method employs a hydroxyphosphono carboxylic acid in alkaline cleaning of hard surfaces.

VISCOELASTIC AMPHOTERIC SURFACTANT BASED CLEANING COMPOSITIONS

Alkaline or neutral viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. According to the invention, cleaning compositions have been developed using viscoelastic surfactants in a neutral, acidic or alkaline cleaning formulations. These provide the dual benefit of thickening as well as an additional cleaning, thereby improving performance. Applicants have also identified several pseudo linking agents which when, used with viscoelastic surfactants provide viscoelasticity in alkaline cleaning compositions.

wherein the at least one organic phosphonate has a general formula (I) ##STR00001##
wherein R.sup.1 is an organic moiety, X.sup.1 is OH or OM.sub.1 and X.sup.2 is OH or OM.sub.2, wherein M.sub.1 and M.sub.2 represent an alkali metal ion or ammonium ion, wherein the organic moiety R.sup.1 is a mono-substituted or multiple-substituted or unsubstituted C.sub.1-C.sub.12 alkyl moiety, C.sub.3-C.sub.10 cycloalkyl moiety or C.sub.6-C.sub.14 aryl moiety, wherein the organic moiety may be attached to 1 to 3 further phosphonate groups of the general formula (I).

TWO STEP METHOD OF CLEANING, SANITIZING, AND RINSING A SURFACE

Methods employing detergent compositions comprising phosphinosuccinic acid oligomers (PSO) in combination with a sanitizing rinse aid are disclosed. The methods beneficially clean, sanitize and rinse a surface in an efficient two-step process. The detergent compositions employ phosphinosuccinic acid adducts, namely mono-, bis- and oligomeric phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivatives, in combination with an alkalinity source and optionally polymers and/or surfactants. The sanitizing and rinsing compositions employ peroxycarboxylic acid compositions in combination with a nonionic defoaming and wetting surfactant.

Detergent compositions effective for controlling hard water scale accumulation are disclosed. Detergent compositions employing phosphinosuccinic acid and mono-, bis- and oligomeric phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivatives with alkali metal carbonate and/or alkali metal hydroxide reduce had water scale accumulation on treated surfaces at alkaline conditions between about pH of 9 and 12.5. Methods employing the detergent compositions and preventing hard water scale accumulation are also provided.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTING COMPOSITION

The disclosed invention relates to a two-part liquid composition for cleaning and disinfecting a substrate, comprising: (A) a disinfectant medium comprising peracetic acid; and (B) a supplemental medium comprising a non-enzymatic cleaner, a corrosion inhibitor, and a chelator. The supplemental medium (B) may further comprise an enzymatic cleaner, a surfactant, a buffer, a pH modifier, or a mixture of two or more thereof. The substrate may be a medical device, for example, an endoscope.

BIODIESEL EMULSION FOR CLEANING BITUMINOUS COATED EQUIPMENT
20170211022 · 2017-07-27 ·

Methods of cleaning equipment such as hand tools dirtied by bituminous mixture. A biodiesel emulsion comprising biodiesel, water and emulsifier(s), is applied to the surface of the equipment for a period of time (e.g., at least about 15 minutes) and optionally agitated. The biodiesel emulsion produces cleaning properties comparable to straight biodiesel, at a cost reduction, due to the replacement of biodiesel with water.
