POLYETHERAMINE COMPOSITIONS FOR LAUNDRY DETERGENTS
20190085266 · 2019-03-21 ·

Detergent compositions comprising one or more surfactants and a polyetheramine composition are disclosed. The polyetheramine composition comprises a compound having a polyglycerol core and an aminoalkyl group or an oxidized aminoalkyl group that is bonded directly or indirectly to each available oxygen of the polyglycerol core. Optionally, oxyalkylene groups link available oxygens of the polyglycerol core to the aminoalkyl or oxidized aminoalkyl groups. Methods for laundering textile articles and other cleaning methods using the detergent compositions are also disclosed. The polyetheramines can use diglycerol, a convenient plant-based starter. Laundry detergents comprising the polyetheramines provide enhanced cold-water cleaning performance for greasy or oily stains compared with similar detergents formulated without the polyetheramines.

POLYMER CONTAINING ANTIMICROBIAL HARD SURFACE CLEANING COMPOSITIONS

The need for a fast acting and broad spectrum antimicrobial composition which does not reduce surface shine and does not leave visible residues on the surface, while also providing greater residuality of the actives can be met by formulating antimicrobial compositions as described herein.

WATER-SOLUBLE UNIT DOSE ARTICLE COMPRISING A SOLID LAUNDRY DETERGENT COMPOSITION

Water-soluble unit dose article containing solid laundry detergent composition and water-soluble film.

Use of polymer blends to reduce or eliminate amine oxide in hand dishwashing detergents

A method of improving or stabilizing foaming of a hand dishwashing detergent composition when combined with water is achieved by providing one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol to a hand dishwashing detergent composition comprising an amine oxide. Hand dishwashing detergent compositions to reduce amine oxide content contain water, surfactant base, and foaming booster consisting of amine oxide, and one or more of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol. A foaming booster consisting of polyethyleneimine ethoxylate and polyethylene glycol can eliminate use of amine oxides.

Polymer blend to stabilize highly alkaline laundry detergent

Liquid detergent compositions with polymer blends to provide a stable aqueous use solution of a highly alkaline detergent composition are provided. The liquid detergent composition include concentrates and use solutions with blends of alkali-swellable polymers (ASE) and hydrophobically-modified alkali-swellable polymers (HASE). Methods for washing textiles using the liquid detergent compositions are also provided.

COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING POLYMERS, POLYMERS, AND THEIR USE

Described herein is a composition including (A) at least one polymer comprising including (a) a backbone that bears one to forty -aminoalcohol groups or -amino-(alkylenoxide) groups, (b) where some -aminoalcohol groups or -amino-(alkylenoxide) groups are esterified with a mono- or diacid of a polyalkylene oxide of which at least 50 mol-% of the alkylene oxide groups are ethylene oxide groups, or with the monomethyl ether of a monoacid of a polyalkylene oxide of which at least 50 mol-% of the alkylene oxide groups are ethylene oxide groups, and, optionally, (c) of which some -aminoalcohol groups or -amino-(alkylenoxide) groups are esterified with aliphatic C.sub.4-C.sub.10-di- or tricarboxylic acid.

Reduced-residue hard surface cleaner and method for determining film/streak

Dilutable concentrates useful for hard surface cleaners with improved film/streak performance on high-energy surfaces are disclosed. The concentrates comprise a nonionic alkoxylated surfactant and a polyetheramine. A relatively minor proportion of a polyetheramine can resolve film/streak issues that characterize hard surface cleaners formulated with nonionic surfactants. The efficacy of polyetheramines for improving film/streak performance of hard surface cleaners formulated with nonionic alkoxylated surfactants far exceeds the benefits available from known improvements, such as the use of hydrotropes. Other inventive dilutable concentrates and hard surface cleaners comprise an amine-functional hydrophobe and an auxiliary surfactant. Still other dilutable concentrates or hard surface cleaners comprise a nonionic alkoxylated surfactant and lactic acid. An improved method for measuring film/streak properties of hard surface cleaners is also disclosed.
