A fragrance mixture and its applications, in particular perfume oils, cosmetic agents, application agents or washing and cleaning agents, containing a sensory effective amount of (i) (E)-2-methyl-but-2-endicarboxylic acid diethyl ester, (ii) (Z)-2-methyl-but-2-endicarboxylic acid diethyl ester or (iii) 2-methylenebutanedicarboxylic acid diethyl ester and mixtures thereof and analogous esters derived from these compounds and mixtures.

The present application provides ternary and quaternary azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions comprising perfluoroheptene and two or more additional components, wherein the additional components are present in the composition in amounts effective to form an azeotrope composition or azeotrope-like composition with the perfluoroheptene. Methods of using the compositions provided herein in cleaning and carrier fluid applications are also provided.

The present invention provides a means by which it is possible to sufficiently suppress an organic residue while favorably decreasing a ceria residue on a polished object to be polished obtained after being polished using a polishing composition containing ceria.

The present invention relates to a composition for surface treatment, which is for a surface treatment of a polished object to be polished obtained after being polished using a polishing composition containing ceria, contains a carboxy group-containing (co)polymer having a structural unit derived from a monomer having a carboxy group or a salt group of the carboxy group, a SO.sub.x or NO.sub.y partial structure-containing compound having a partial structure represented by SO.sub.x or NO.sub.y (where x and y each independently denote a real number 1 to 5), and a dispersing medium, and has a pH of 1 or more and 8 or less.

The present application provides binary azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions comprising perfluoroheptene and an additional component, wherein the additional component is present in the composition in an amount effective to form an azeotrope composition or azeotrope-like composition with the perfluoroheptene. Methods of using the compositions provided herein in cleaning and carrier fluid applications are also provided.

The present invention relates to a composition and a method for treating substrates, such as fabrics; in particular a composition that can deliver cleaning and anti-microbial benefits to the fabric thereby delaying laundry. There is a long left need for a composition, which can clean the fabric and deliver anti-microbial benefits without the use of water and detergents. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a composition with no surfactants in it which can deliver cleaning and anti-microbial benefits through a single product. It has been found that cleaning and anti-microbial benefits on fabric can be achieved by a solvent mix of a glycol ether, a fatty acid ester and a diol in combination with a bipolar antimicrobial particle in an aqueous solution.

A cleaning composition is particularly suited for cleaning dirty intake valves. The cleaning composition includes a high solvency surfactant/solvent which has a Kb greater than 100 or polar Hansen solubility parameter greater than 6. The surfactant/solvent is combined with an organic carrier and a surfactant. A wetting agent may also be employed. The cleaning composition is added to the intake air as a mist as the engine is running.

The compositions include a methylated siloxane liquid and a solvent comprising at least one of a ketone or ester each having up to six carbon atoms, a halogenated alkane having up to two carbon atoms, tetrachloroethene, 1-chloro-4-trifluoromethyl benzene, or ethane. The compositions can also include hydrocarbon solvent comprising at least one of toluene, xylene, or a saturated hydrocarbon represented by formula C.sub.xH.sub.2x+y, wherein x is from 5 to 8, and wherein y is 0 or 2 and/or propellant. The method can include applying the composition to a brake system component to clean the brake system component. The method can also include applying a composition including hexamethyldisiloxane to a brake system component to clean the brake system component.

A surface treatment composition according to the present invention is used for treating a surface of a polished object to be polished which is obtained after polishing with a polishing composition including ceria, using the surface treatment composition including a (co)polymer having a monomer-derived structural unit having a carboxyl group or a salt group thereof, a residue removing accelerator composed of a specific compound having a hydroxyl group, and a dispersing medium, wherein pH is less than 7.

Novel materials and devices can remove small defects from long rolls of flexible electronics material while they are in continuous motion. The cleaning materials are designed to remove small particles without transferring defects or damaging the flexible electronics. The device generally consists of variable speed, motor-driven cylinders mounted on moveable brackets. The cylinders are capable of matching the speed of the cleaning material such that the cleaning material is always in contact with the web roll to be cleaned. The brackets are capable of rotating so the same material can be used more than once. Another material is used to remove debris from the cleaning material. A similar device consisting of motor-driven cylinders and moveable is used to apply the debris removal film to the cleaning film, allowing the cleaning film to be used multiple times.
