METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR THE TREATMENT OF POLYCYSTIC OVARY SYNDROME

Described here are methods and systems for the manipulation of ovarian tissues. The methods and systems may be used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The systems and methods may be useful in the treatment of infertility associated with PCOS.

Generalized interlaced scanning with an ultrasound probe
11564656 · 2023-01-31 · ·

A system includes an ultrasound probe comprising an ultrasound transducer, a first motor configured to rotate the ultrasound transducer around a horizontal axis to scan a plane, and a second motor configured to rotate the ultrasound transducer around a vertical axis to move to a different plane. The system further includes a controller unit configured to select a number of scan planes for an interlacing scan to scan a volume of an area of interest in a patient's body using the ultrasound probe; select an interlacing factor for the interlacing scan; divide the scan planes into groups of scan planes based on the interlacing factor; and perform the interlacing scan by controlling the first motor and the second motor, wherein the first motor moves in a first direction for at least some of the scan planes and in a second direction for other ones of the scan planes.

Configurable ultrasonic imager

An imaging device includes a two dimensional array of piezoelectric elements. Each piezoelectric element includes: a piezoelectric layer; a bottom electrode disposed on a bottom side of the piezoelectric layer and configured to receive a transmit signal during a transmit mode and develop an electrical charge during a receive mode; and a first top electrode disposed on a top side of the piezoelectric layer; and a first conductor, wherein the first top electrodes of a portion of the piezoelectric elements in a first column of the two dimensional array are electrically coupled to the first conductor.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ULTRASOUND ACQUISITION WITH ADAPTIVE TRANSMITS

Methods and systems are provided for dynamically selecting ultrasound transmits. In one example, a method includes dynamically updating a number of transmit lines and/or a pattern of transmit lines for acquiring an ultrasound image based on a prior ultrasound image and a task to be performed with the ultrasound image, and acquiring the ultrasound image with an ultrasound probe controlled to operate with the updated number of transmit lines and/or the updated pattern of transmit lines.

Anatomically intelligent echochardiography for point-of-care

An apparatus includes an imaging probe and is configured for dynamically arranging presentation of visual feedback for guiding manual adjustment, via the probe, of a location, and orientation, associated with the probe. The arranging is selectively based on comparisons between fields of view of the probe and respective results of segmenting image data acquired via the probe. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a sensor which guides a decision that acoustic coupling quality is insufficient, the apparatus issuing a user alert upon the decision.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SECURING OPERATION OF AN ULTRASOUND SCANNER

The present embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for securing operation of an ultrasound scanner for use with a multi-use electronic display device. In some embodiments, the multi-use electronic display device can control whether the ultrasound scanner is permitted to generate ultrasound image data for display based on an institution affiliation status of the ultrasound scanner retrieved from a server. In some embodiments, the multi-use electronic display device can control whether the ultrasound scanner is permitted to generate ultrasound image data for display based on whether a digital certificate provided by a server is successfully validated.

Control device, radiography system, medical imaging system, control method, and control program

A mammography apparatus includes a compression control unit that, in a case in which continuous imaging that captures a radiographic image of the breast compressed by a compression plate and then captures an ultrasound image of the breast while maintaining the compressed state is performed, performs control to set a force of the compression plate compressing the breast to a first force in the capture of the radiographic image and to change the force of the compression plate compressing the breast from the first force to a second force lower than the first force in the capture of the ultrasound image.

PORTABLE ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME
20230015371 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A portable ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus and a method of controlling the same are provided, including a flexible display and a controller which changes a layout of an image displayed on the flexible display. An image necessary for diagnosing an object is appropriately disposed on a flexible display according to a situation, and thus, the user can intuitively determine an ultrasonic image.

Ultrasound system with processor dongle

A highly portable ultrasound system is configured using a wireless ultrasound probe (10), a processor dongle (30) containing a radio and a digital processor running an operating system and an ultrasound control program, and any conveniently available television receiver or display monitor. The sonographer only needs to carry the small wireless probe and the thumbdrive-like dongle in order to turn any available display device, together with the two components carried by the sonographer, into a completely functional ultrasound system. The sonographer can enter a patient's hospital room, plug the processor dongle into the patient monitor in the room, and conduct an ultrasound exam using the patient monitor as the system display, for instance. The system can be controlled by a touchscreen tablet computer, a wireless mouse, or by distinct gestures made by the probe.

Ultrasound imaging apparatus for registering ultrasound image with image from another modality and method of operating ultrasound imaging apparatus

Provided are an ultrasound imaging apparatus and an operation method for registering an ultrasound image and an image from another modality. The ultrasound imaging apparatus may register the ultrasound image and the image from the other modality based on a three-dimensional positional relationship between at least one external electromagnetic sensor attached to a patient's body and an ultrasound probe and on a position of a feature point extracted from the image from the other modality.
