The display, the console, the probe port and the battery are attachable to and detachable from the body. The body, the display and the console are attachable to and detachable from the cart. The body with the probe port and the battery attached, the display and the console are attached to the cart, thereby configuring the diagnostic ultrasound apparatus as a cart style. The display and the console are detached from the body with the probe port and the battery attached, thereby configuring the diagnostic ultrasound apparatus as a desktop style. The display, the console, the probe port and the battery are attached and connected to the body so as to be integrated, thereby configuring the diagnostic ultrasound apparatus as a hand-carry style.
THERMAL SHUNT FOR TRANSFERRING HEAT FROM A PORTABLE MEDICAL DEVICE TO A STAND
A portable medical device, such as an ultrasound imaging system, is configured to connect to a stand, and transfer heat from the device to the stand. The device includes a heat-generating source, a hot plate that is thermally coupled to the heat-generating source, and a barrier plate that is biased away from the hot plate and moveable between a first position, wherein the device is not docked to the stand, and a second position, wherein the device is docked to the stand. In the first position, the barrier plate is not in thermally conductive contact with the hot plate, and in the second position, the barrier plate is in thermally conductive contact with the hot plate. When moved from the first position to the second position, a cold plate on the stand pushes the barrier plate into the second position such that heat generated by the imaging system is transferred through the barrier plate to the hot plate and into a cold plate of the stand. As such, in the second position, the device is configured to transfer heat from the imaging system to the stand via a conductive pathway including at least the hot plate, the barrier plate, and the cold plate.
Docking station for electrically charging and managing a thermal condition of an ultrasound probe
A docking station for electrically charging and managing a thermal condition of an ultrasound probe is presented. The docking station includes a first charging unit magnetically coupled to an induction unit of the ultrasound probe and configured to charge at least one battery in the ultrasound probe. Further, the docking station includes a first cooling unit thermally coupled to a thermal unit of the ultrasound probe and configured to dissipate heat from the ultrasound probe.
MULTI-PURPOSE ULTRASOUND IMAGE ACQUISITION DEVICE
The present invention relates to an ultrasound image acquisition device (46) for use together with a console device (16, 18) to form an ultrasound imaging system (10) and a corresponding method. The ultrasound image acquisition device (46) particularly comprises a recognition device for recognizing an operating mode of the ultrasound image acquisition device, wherein the recognition device is configured to recognize the operating mode depending on a type of the console device (16, 18) and/or an applicable communication standard of the interface (50). By this, a dual purpose image acquisition probe (14) may be provided.
Portability enhancing hardware for a portable ultrasound system
A method for displaying status information related to a portable device includes detecting a portion of a user in a detection zone using a proximity sensor, determining, using a control circuit, that the portable device is in a powered off or power saving state, acquiring, using the control circuit, information about the portable device while the portable device remains in the powered off or power saving state, and displaying, using a system status indicator controlled by the control circuit, a representation of the information about the portable device. The detection zone is defined in relation to a handle of the portable device.
Probe holder illumination for ultrasound imaging systems
A method and ultrasound imaging system including a plurality of probe holders and a plurality of light assemblies attached to the plurality of probe holders. The plurality of light assemblies is configured to be controlled by a processor to selectively illuminate one or more of the plurality of probe holders.
MULTI-PURPOSE ULTRASOUND IMAGE ACQUISITION DEVICE
The present invention relates to an ultrasound image acquisition device for use together with a console device to form an ultrasound imaging system and a corresponding method. The ultrasound image acquisition device particularly comprises a recognition device for recognizing an operating mode of the ultrasound image acquisition device, wherein the recognition device is configured to recognize the operating mode depending on a type of the console device and/or an applicable communication standard of the interface. By this, a dual purpose image acquisition probe may be provided.
Ultrasonic imaging device
An ultrasonic imaging device selectively obtains an accurate image of a target part inside an object or an image of a wide part inside the object through an ultrasonic probe by operating a focus adjustment unit. The ultrasonic imaging device includes an ultrasonic probe the front of which is equipped with a probe lens, and a focus adjustment unit mounted to the ultrasonic probe so as to selectively defocus the probe lens. The focus adjustment unit includes a focus adjustment portion arranged in the front of the probe lens, and a pressing portion connected to the focus adjustment portion so as to vary a curvature of the focus adjustment portion by external force.
Ultrasonic diagnostic system
An ultrasound diagnostic system includes a portable ultrasound diagnostic device and an extended docking device to which the portable ultrasound diagnostic device is detachably mounted, wherein at least one of probes and channels are extended when the portable ultrasound diagnostic device is mounted to the extended docking device. Also, the ultrasound diagnostic system may further include an indoor ultrasound diagnostic device including a portable docking part, and the portable ultrasound diagnostic device may include a cart-based docking part and be connected to the indoor ultrasound diagnostic device. The ultrasound diagnostic system may enhance portability of the portable ultrasound diagnostic device and simultaneously achieves superior ultrasound diagnostic performance and quality also in the portable ultrasound diagnostic device through extension of the probes, signal channels, diagnostic items, or diagnostic performance, as occasion demands.
Ultrasound system and apparatus having a portable storage bin
An ultrasound apparatus includes a base, a housing extending upwardly from the base and having opposed lateral sides, the housing being configured to support an operator console and display, and a storage bin received in a recess in the housing. The storage bin is movable from a first position in which the storage bin is received within the recess of the housing, and a second position in which the storage bin extends from one of the lateral sides of the housing.
