Thinner composition
A thinner composition is capable of reducing the amount of photoresist used in a reducing resist consumption (RRC) coating process, an edge bead removed (EBR) process or the like, and removing unnecessary photoresist on an edge portion or a backside portion of the wafer. The thinner composition includes C.sub.1-C.sub.10 alkyl C.sub.1-C.sub.10 alkoxy propionate, propylene glycol C.sub.1-C.sub.10 alkyl ether, and propylene glycol C.sub.1-C.sub.10 alkyl ether acetate.

HIGH-PURITY ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a high-purity isopropyl alcohol in which the concentration of a C7-12 acetal compound is 100 ppb or less on a mass basis, the concentration of the acetal compound in an accelerated test involving heating for 4 hours at 80° C. in a nitrogen atmosphere is increased by a factor of 30 or less with respect to the value thereof prior to heating, and the concentration of the acetal compound is maintained at a value of 100 ppb or less on a mass basis. Also provided is a method for manufacturing said high-purity isopropyl alcohol.
Compositions and methods for cleaning urethane molds
Compositions and methods for cleaning surfaces, such as for removing residues or other coatings from molds and other industrial parts, such compositions comprising, for example, a first solvent comprising a pyrrolidone such as 2-pyrrolidone, 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone, or mixture thereof; and a second solvent selected from the group consisting of an imidazole (such as 1,2-dimethylimidizole), an alkylene glycol ether (such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether or diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, a terpene (such as d-limonene), and mixtures thereof. In various embodiments, such methods are for removing residues from molds used in forming polyurethane parts, wherein residues comprise polyurethane, urethane reactants, and mold release agents. The compositions may be substantially free of 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone and of 1-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone.
Composition, and method for cleaning adhesive polymer
Provided is a composition which has an excellent affinity with the surface of an adhesive agent and can achieve a high etching rate. The composition according to one embodiment comprises: a quaternary alkylammonium fluoride or a hydrate of a quaternary alkylammonium fluoride; and, as an aprotic solvent, (A) an N-substituted amide compound having no active hydrogen on a nitrogen atom, and (B) a dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether, wherein (B) the dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether has the percentage of a structural isomer represented by formula (1) of at least 50 mass % with respect to the total amount of (B) the dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether. ##STR00001##
Composition for use in cleaning metal components
A composition for use in cleaning metal components having Hansen Solubility Parameters for the composition of δ.sub.D≥15, δ.sub.P<6, and δ.sub.H from about 5.5 to about 6.9. The composition includes a blend of organic solvents, none of which are classified as a volatile organic compound, a hazardous air pollutant, or a potential carcinogen, or exhibit a vapor pressure of less than 0.1 mmHg at 20° C. Further, the blend of organic solvents includes a halogenated aromatic solvent having one or more halide groups and from 6 to 8 carbon atoms, an organic solvent having one or more ester functional group and from 3 to 9 carbon atoms, and one or more of a linear or branched hydrocarbon solvent with 6-12 carbon atoms with a single polar moiety head group or a solvent containing one or more ketone functional groups and from 2 to 5 carbon atoms.

An aerosolized HVAC/R system solvent for decontaminating HVAC/R components and line sets The solvent contains 25-90 wt % propellant, and 10-75 wt % solvent mixture which is about 60-95 wt % trans-1,2,dichloroethylene, about 5-20 wt % n-propanol, and an inerting constituent providing a weight percent ratio of the inerting constituent to n-propanol of less than 1.5. The solvent is packaged in a container that is connected to the HVAC/R components or line sets to be decontaminated for supplying the solvent mixture under pressure to the HVAC/R components or line sets.
FLUORINATED ALKOXYVINYL ETHERS AND METHODS FOR PREPARING FLUORINATED ALKOXYVINYL ETHERS
An alkoxyvinyl ether is disclosed having the chemical structure R.sub.fC(OR)═CHR.sub.f′, wherein R.sub.f is an at least partially fluorinated functional group having at least one carbon atom, R.sub.f′ is an at least partially fluorinated functional group having at least two carbon atoms, and R is a functional group. A method for preparing an alkoxyvinyl ether is disclosed, comprising R.sub.fCFHCFHR.sub.f′+KOH/ROH.fwdarw.R.sub.fC(OR)═CHR.sub.f′, wherein R.sub.f is a perfluoro functional group, R.sub.f′ is a perfluoro functional group, and R is an alkyl functional group. Another method for preparing an alkoxyvinyl ether is disclosed, comprising R.sub.fCF═CHR.sub.f′+KOH/ROH.fwdarw.R.sub.fC(OR)═CHR.sub.f′, wherein R.sub.f is a perfluoro functional group, R.sub.f′ is a perfluoro functional group, and R is an alkyl functional group.
Cleaning formulation for removing residues on surfaces
This disclosure relates to a cleaning composition that contains 1) hydroxylamine; 2) a chelating agent; 3) an alkylene glycol; 4) water. This disclosure also relates to a method of using the above composition for cleaning a semiconductor substrate.
