MEDICAL TOOL POSITIONING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE
Medical tool positioning and control devices, systems, and methods. Handle assemblies that allow a steerable shaft to be steered, while allowing the separate movement of a medical tool. The handle assemblies can allow for rotation and axial movement of the medical tool, and optionally with an actuator disposed distal to a second actuator that controls steering of the steerable shaft.
SYSTEMS, CATHETERS, DRIVE UNITS, AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC CATHETER IDENTIFICATION
A catheter for an ultrasound system can a marker disposed on the hub. The marker is optically or magnetically readable and, when read, identifies the catheter. A drive unit can include an optical or magnetic marker reader. Alternatively or additionally, a catheter may include an active memory arrangement that can be read by an appropriate reader on the drive unit.
Ultrasound apparatus and information providing method of the ultrasound apparatus
An information providing method which is implementable by using an ultrasound apparatus includes obtaining ultrasound image data which relates to an object; displaying, on a first area of a screen, a gain setup window for setting a gain of the obtained ultrasound image data; receiving a gain which is set by a user on the gain setup window; and displaying, on a second area of the screen, an ultrasound image of the object to which the set gain is applied.
Device and system for monitoring internal organs of a human or animal
A hand-held system for ultrasound monitoring of internal organs of humans and animals and providing therapy combined with ultrasound is presented. The system comprises a base that functions as a docking station for the smart device. The base comprises ultrasound transducer elements, which are essentially integral with additional electronics, located on its bottom side and a socket into which the smart device can be inserted on its top side. The socket is provided with connecting elements suitable to mechanically and electrically connect the smart device to the base and to allow the base and the smart device to be moved as a single unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASOUND TREATMENT
Embodiments provide an ultrasound treatment system and method. In some embodiments, the system includes a removable transducer module having an ultrasound transducer. In some embodiments, the system can include a hand wand with at least one finger activated controller and a control module that is coupled to the hand wand and has a graphical user interface for controlling the removable transducer module, and an interface coupling the hand wand to the control module. The interface may provide power to the hand wand or may transfer a signal from the hand wand to the control module. In some embodiments, the treatment system may be used in cosmetic procedures on at least a portion of a face, head, neck, and/or other part of a patient.

Ultrasound probe sanitization indicator and storage system and method of use
A probe sleeve for holding a probe in various stages of cleanliness with indicators thereto. The probe sleeve comprising an envelope portion, a sealing system, and a plurality of indicator zones. The envelope portion comprising a mouth. The mouth is operative to receive and release the probe. The envelope is operative to hold the probe. The plurality of indicator zones comprise a first indicator zone and a second indicator zone. The plurality of indicator zones display a status indicator related to the state of the probe. The sealing system is configured to selectively close and open the mouth. The first indicator zone is operable to signify that the probe is clean. The second indicator zone is operable to signify that the probe is not clean.
AN INTELLIGENT ULTRASOUND SYSTEM
The invention relates to an ultrasound system for imaging a volumetric region comprising a region of interest (ROI) (82). The system comprises a probe (10); an ultrasound wave controlling unit adapted to control ultrasound wave transmission and provide ultrasound image data of the volumetric region (131); an image processor; and a ROI identifier, which is adapted to generate identification data indicating the ROI within the volumetric region; wherein the ultrasound wave transmission is configurable by a plurality of use cases in response to respective identifiers of said use cases, each use case being associated with a particular imaging procedure and comprising an anatomical model for said imaging procedure; and wherein the ROI identifier is configurable by the respective anatomical models of said use cases. Such an ultrasound system may be (semi-)automatically configured in accordance with settings that are specific to a particular imaging procedure, which facilitates the use of such a system by less experienced users and reduces the time required to configure the system. A method of configuring such an ultrasound system is also disclosed.
OPTICAL TARGETING AND VISUALIZATION OF TRAJECTORIES
Enhanced targeting systems and methods may be used to visualize trajectories for surgical instruments. Such a targeting system may have a first light source and a second light source. The first light source may project first light along a first plane, and the second light source may project second light along a second plane nonparallel to the first plane. At an intersection of the first and second planes, the first light and the second light may cooperate to produce a targeting line that indicates the desired trajectory. An image capture system may also be used to capture image data of anatomical features of a patient at one or more locations in space, and a controller may receive the image data and indicate the trajectory relative to the anatomical features of the patient.
