Natural laundry soaps

A series of natural soaps, both liquid and solid, and methods of making thereof, which have a synergistic effect when formulated with anti-redeposition ingredients in laundry applications both in synthetic and natural textiles and fabrics. The fatty acids and/or natural oils based series of natural soaps include both sodium and potassium soap products that interact synergistically with, preferably, known, natural anti-redeposition agents and alkaline builders creating highly effective, natural solid (bar or powdered) and liquid laundry cleaning products. Solid forms soaps are dried to an acceptable amount of moisture content for milling. Further blending is then performed with various natural anti-redeposition agents or natural products which exhibit said characteristics and/or alkaline builders. The solid forms may be formed into single dose tablets. Effervescent additives may further be included.

Soap composition comprising (i) saponified fatty matter made from a fat blend comprising lauric fatty acid and saturated and unsaturated non-lauric fatty acids, the iodine value being from 44 to 58 g iodine per 100 g of said saponified fatty matter; and (ii) a hydrogel which is non-thermoreversible at 70 to 140 C. Disclosed is also a bar of soap comprising the soap composition and a process of preparing the soap composition.

The proposed cluster of inventions relates to chemical industry, in particular to compositions of and additives in detergents designed for household, professional or personal use, to be used at home or industrially. The essence of this cluster of inventions lays in the use of polysaccharide microgels as an additive or the base in detergents, in particular as an antiresorption agent, thickener, or an agent for reducing surface tension at the interphase boundary, including also composition of detergents with polysaccharide microgels. The technological result of the application of these inventions is reduction of the quantity of surfactants in the detergent, while its detergency is no affected, which raises their ecological value and safety for the final users.

A composition for an organic cleaning product comprises distilled water; borax; distilled white vinegar; yucca root soap; and optionally, lavender essential oil, peppermint essential oil; and eucalyptus. Also disclosed is a process for the production of yucca root soap which is used in producing the organic cleaning product of the invention.

This application relates to compositions for cleaning and disinfecting unclean surfaces that are contaminated, typically with bacteria, viruses, yeast and molds. Broadly speaking contaminated surfaces includes hard and soft surfaces such as those found in household environments, in industrial environments, and hospitals, as well as surfaces of food products such as fruits, vegetables and meat. Further, the compositions can be prepared with naturally occurring components that are classified as generally considered as safe (GRAS) by the US FDA and/or comply with National Organic Production (NOP) standards of the USDA and can therefore be used in situations where such a classification is required such as organic food production.

Provided herein are antimicrobial compositions comprising derivatives of lauric acid, and methods for preparing and using such compositions. As a non-limiting example, a process for preparing an antimicrobial composition may comprise: (1) a saponification step wherein a high-lauric vegetable oil is contacted with a strong base, thereby providing a high-laurate soap component; (2) a lipolysis step wherein a high-lauric vegetable oil is contacted with a lipase, thereby providing a lipolyzed oil composition comprising glycerol monolaurate; and (3) a combination step wherein the soap composition is combined with the lipolyzed oil composition, thereby providing the antimicrobial foaming soap composition.
