SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT APPLICATION BASED ON RESIDUE COVERAGE
In one embodiment, one or more tangible, non-transitory, machine-readable media comprising instructions configured to cause a processor to receive a signal indicative of a residue coverage on a surface of an agricultural field from a sensor, and the sensor is positioned in front of a row unit of an agricultural product application system relative to a direction of travel. Further, the instructions are configured to cause the processor to determine the residue coverage on the surface of the agricultural field based on the signal, and the residue coverage includes a percentage of the agricultural field that is covered by residue, an evenness of the residue, or a combination thereof. Moreover, the instructions are configured to cause the processor to control an agricultural product control system of the agricultural product application system based on the residue coverage.
Row planter assembly
A row planter assembly having offset track assemblies, a downforce control assembly, a furrow assembly, a seed metering assembly, and a seed delivery assembly.
Electric row cleaner actuation assembly
An electric row cleaner actuation assembly is provided. The electric row cleaner actuation assembly includes a row cleaner unit engageable with a soil to clear a planting area for a seed planting device to dispense seeds. The electric row cleaner actuation assembly also includes a motor. The actuation assembly further includes a telescoping tube arrangement comprising an inner tube and an outer tube, the outer tube moveable along the inner tube and operatively coupled to the row cleaner unit. The actuation assembly yet further includes a position driving element engageable with the outer tube to displace the outer tube to adjust a downforce applied to the row cleaner unit.
SOWER
A group for cleaning and making a furrow in a ground, comprising: a frame suitable to be connected to a driving unit; a rotary grooving disc provided with grooves; wherein the grooving disc is articulated to the frame in a mobile fashion perpendicularly to the ground with respect to the frame by means of a resilient articulated group provided with mutually parallel articulation axes, and wherein the resilient articulated group comprises at least one plurality of arms articulated with respect to mutually parallel articulation axes, among which there is at least one resiliently flexibly yieldable arm.
OPENER ATTACHMENT FOR AN AGRICULTURAL ROW UNIT
An opener attachment for an agricultural row unit including a frame, an arm pivotally coupled to the frame, an opener disc coupled to the arm and configured to excavate a trench into soil, and a gauge wheel coupled to the arm and configured to block movement of the opener disc into the soil to control a depth of the trench. The opener attachment also includes a mechanical stop coupled to the frame and configured to block the gauge wheel and the opener disc moving toward the soil. In addition, the opener attachment includes an air bag configured to urge the gauge wheel and the opener disc toward the soil.
RESIDUE MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR SEEDERS
A residue management tool mountable to a frame of a seeder for cutting or clearing residue on the ground is provided, comprising a pivotable arm having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the pivotable arm adapted to be directly or indirectly pivotally attached to the frame; a rotatable cutting or clearing device operably mounted to the distal end of the pivotable arm and operative to cut or clear the residue on the ground; a biasing device operative to exert a downward bias force on the pivotable arm to engage the rotatable cutting or clearing device with the ground; and a depth restraint operative to prevent the rotatable cutting or clearing device from over-penetrating the ground.
A GROUP FOR CLEANING AND MAKING A FURROW IN A GROUND SEEDER COMPRISING THE GROUP
A group for cleaning and making a furrow in a ground, comprising: a frame suitable to be connected to a driving unit; a rotary grooving disc (41) provided with grooves; wherein the grooving disc (41) is articulated to the frame in a mobile fashion perpendicularly to the ground with respect to the frame by means of a resilient articulated group (44) provided with mutually parallel articulation axes and wherein the grooving disc (41) is pivotingly associated to the resilient articulation group about an oscilllation axis (422) perpendicular to the articulation axes of the resilient group.
RADAR BASED SEED SENSOR FOR USE WITH AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS
A sensor assembly includes a sensor in the form of a microwave radar device to dispense microwaves in an area where seed or other particulate material is to be sensed. This may be a seed tube of a row unit. The microwaves of the radar provide an accurate determination if a seed or other particulate material has passed through the field of vision of the sensor to provide an accurate sensing of a seed event. This information can be used to determine the rate of planting, skips, doubles, as well as any other information related to the passing of a seed or other particulate material.
Strip soil loosening and crushing mechanism of no-tillage planting machine
A strip soil loosening and crushing mechanism of a no-tillage planting machine has a connecting bracket, a cutter head assembly, and a soil crushing wheel assembly. The cutter head assembly has two star-shaped cutter heads of the same structure, which are symmetrically arranged at outer sides of the two supporting plates. The soil crushing wheel assembly has a spring combined structure, a soil crushing wheel combined structure and two crank brackets rotatably connected at the outer sides of the two supporting plates of the connecting bracket by a connecting shaft.
Downforce control system for a row cleaner of a seeding implement
A row unit of a seeder includes a frame configured to be coupled to a toolbar of the seeder. The row unit also includes a single opener pivotally or rotatably coupled to the frame. The row unit further includes a row cleaner assembly that has a row cleaner arm pivotally coupled to the frame or to the single opener and a row cleaner blade rotatably coupled to the row cleaner arm. The row cleaner arm positions a respective rotational axis of the row cleaner blade forward of the single opener relative to a direction of travel of the row unit. A row cleaner actuator is coupled to the row cleaner arm, and the row cleaner actuator is configured to control a first downforce applied by the row cleaner blade to soil.
