CO.sub.2, and other gases are utilized with mineral feedstock to synthesize products. The synthesized products, as the result of liquid, solid, gas photo-chemical reactions within the advanced bioreactor of the disclosed embodiment, are precipitated raw material for multiple consumer and industrial products. Waste heat, pressure and torque produced from the bioreactor are utilized for generating electricity and/or heat through a combination of energy recovery devices. Energy recovery devices offsets and lower the cost of operating the reactor as the disclosed reactor integrates photolysis via ultra-violet light, as an integral component, of a reactor system, composed also of an active mixer-agitator assembly, pressure and vacuum vessel chamber, heat source, and ports for media ingestion. The disclosed reactor is designed be conducive to transforming gaseous, solid, and liquid feedstock, like carbon dioxide —CO.sub.2, and other feedstocks that are inorganic and/or organic in an aqueous medium, into inorganic and organic products.

The sealing element comprises a plurality of openings corresponding to at least a subset of the plurality of openings in the enclosure. Access to the internal chamber can be provided by aligning the plurality of openings in the sealing element with the plurality of openings in the enclosure. Methods for using the incubators are also provided.

The self-sustained air flotation screening unit includes an air flotation screening part, a material sedimentation part, a reflux part and a three-phase separation part connected sequentially from bottom to top. A digested material in the anaerobic digestion tank unit is pumped into the air flotation screening part, overflows into the material sedimentation part, and then is raised to the reflux part. Gas passing through the three-phase separation part and gas produced in the anaerobic digestion tank unit enter the biogas measurement and collection unit to be measured and collected.

The at least one temperature and gas concentration sequence includes programmed changes to the temperature and a CO.sub.2 gas concentration. A purging mechanism is coupled to the incubator and releases a portion of a gas concentration to enable rapid changes in the temperature and gas concentration in the incubator.
