A dual-mode ultrasound system provides real-time imaging and therapy delivery using a transducer array. The system may use various imaging modes to provide image data that may be used to select control points within an imaging field of view. The control points along with the image data may be used to solve an optimization problem to achieve desired focusing gains at one or more of the control points. The optimized solution may be used to produce excitation waveforms to generate new image data. The focusing gains may be evaluated and the optimization problem may be iterated until desired focusing gains are achieved. Virtual arrays may be defined and cascaded to provide flexibility in solving the optimization problem.

Provided are an ultrasound system, an ultrasound probe, a control method of the ultrasound system, and a control method of the ultrasound probe capable of using various types of display terminals and causing the display terminal to perform processing according to computing power of the display terminal to be used.

An ultrasound system includes a display terminal and an ultrasound probe. The ultrasound probe has a reception circuit that generates a sound ray signal from a reception signal output from an oscillator array, an image generation unit that generates ultrasound image data from the sound ray signal, and a data selection unit that selects one of the ultrasound image data and intermediate data generated in a middle of generating the ultrasound image data, according to computing power of the display terminal, as data to be output to the display terminal. The display terminal to which the intermediate data is input generates the ultrasound image data from the intermediate data and displays an ultrasound image based on the ultrasound image data on the monitor.

ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, INFORMATION-PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus of an embodiment includes a processing circuitry. The a processing circuitry acquires contact information detected by a plurality of contact sensors provided at different positions on an ultrasonic probe inserted into a body cavity of a subject and causes an output interface to output information representing a state of the ultrasonic probe in the body cavity on the basis of the contact information and the positions of the contact sensors provided on the ultrasonic probe.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF LOSSLESS TRANSMISSION AND REMOTE PRESENTATION OF RESPONSE FROM A CRANIAL SENSOR SYSTEM

Example implementations include a system with a first communication channel operatively coupled with a cranial sensor system and operable to transmit a cranial sensor output obtained from the cranial sensor system to one or more remote devices, and a second communication channel operatively coupled with the cranial sensor system and operable to transmit a diagnostic output associated with the cranial sensor output to the remote device(s).

Systems and methods for ultrasound review and imaging

A system for reviewing results of ultrasound examinations provides enhanced control over reviewed images. A review and imaging system receives additional data comprising one or more of additional ultrasound images generated using parameter settings different from those selected by and sonographer and earlier stage ultrasound data. An ultrasound machine may be configured to acquire and make the additional data available to the review and imaging system. The review and imaging system may provide a wide range of control options for obtaining optimized display of images based on the additional data.

CHARACTERIZING SOFT TISSUE SUBRUPTURE DAMAGE AND INCOMPLETE TEAR DAMAGE FOR PERFORMING A PROCESS

Disclosed techniques for performing a process can include performing, by a plurality of subjects, a first repetitive movement with a specified stress or strain per cycle; analyzing for soft tissue disorganization or partially torn soft tissue in each of the plurality of subjects; generating an association relating stress or strain to a number of cycles that cause a transition to subrupture damaged tissue or to incomplete tear damaged tissue; measuring a stress or strain per cycle for a second repetitive movement that makes up the process; determining a limit on a number of cycles of the second repetitive movement intended to avoid at least one of: a transition to subrupture damaged soft tissue or to incomplete tear damage tissue; and performing the second repetitive movement as part of the process while ensuring that no individual subject exceeds the limit on the number of cycles of the second repetitive movement.

Image guided catheters and methods of use

An interventional medical device is provided that incorporates a forward-directed ultrasound or optical coherence tomography imaging system that is replaceable depending on how close the device is to the target site for a given medical procedure, the device and system integrated into a single minimally invasive device comprising a first probe housing, needle guide assembly and sheath, a sleeve lock for closing a normally open needle channel of a needle guide of the first distal assembly and a second probe and cable housing assembly locked to the first distal probe housing, needle guide assembly and sheath by a locking tab. The probe and cable housing assembly may comprise a linear phased ultrasound array and an accelerometer for orienting an image produced by the device with the gravitational field of the earth. The medical device can be in the form of an image guided catheter or probe, used in a body orifice, externally on skin tissue or subcutaneously. The imaging system may comprise one or more small ultrasound or OCT imaging systems that can be replaceably integrated into the device by replacing the reusable second probe and cable housing assembly.

Medical scan assisted review system

A medical scan assisted review system is operable to receive, via a network, a medical scan for review. Abnormality data is generated by identifying a plurality of abnormalities in the medical scan by utilizing a computer vision model that is trained on a plurality of training medical scans. The abnormality data includes location data and classification data for each of the plurality of abnormalities. Text describing each of the plurality of abnormalities is generated based on the abnormality data. The abnormality data and the text is transmitted to a client device. A display device associated with the client device displays the abnormality data in conjunction with the medical scan via an interactive interface, and the display device further displays the text via the interactive interface.
