Compact testing device
A lateral flow testing device includes a main body adapted to support an element for collecting a sample. The element is supported at a distal end of the testing device and is in fluid communication with one or more testing components having an analyte detection zone for detecting one or more analytes present in said sample. The testing components produce visual information related to said sample, thereby informing the user of the outcome of a test. The device incorporates a handle reconfigurable with respect to said main body such that in a first handle configuration, the handle hinders sight of the visual information to improve privacy of the test, and in a second handle configuration, the handle facilitates the collection of said sample by increasing a distance between a proximal end of the testing device and the element.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE METHODS AND APPARATUS
Methods and apparatus are provided to facilitate the minimally invasive removal of tissue biopsies and to facilitate the direct approach to anesthetizing the chest wall, in accordance with embodiments of the present invention. A pull-type cutting device 1 comprises two coaxially nested tubes, each extending from a proximal end 21 to a distal end 22. The first tube 61 defines a guide wire lumen 23 for slidingly receiving a guide wire. The second tube 63 extends over the first tube 60 and coupled thereto at the distal end 22 defining an expandable portion 13 adjacent the distal end 22. The second tube 63 defines an inflation lumen 25 extending from the shaft proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13. The inflation lumen 25 communicates inflation fluid from the proximal end 21 to the expandable portion 13 so as to inflate and deploy the expandable portion 13. Disposed adjacent the shaft distal end 22 is a cutting head 10 comprising the expandable portion 13 having a cutting portion 11 distal from the shaft distal end 22.
Mobile Device Multi-Analyte Testing Analyzer for Use in Medical Diagnostic Monitoring and Screening
A mobile device based multi-analyte testing analyzer for use in medical diagnostic monitoring and screening, and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A reflectance based, colorimetric test strip reader for use with a mobile device having a jack plug receiving socket, said test strip reader adapted for removably receiving a test strip having a test strip longitudinal axis, comprising a housing; a jack plug operably coupled to and extending from said housing and adapted for operable coupling with said jack plug receiving socket; a test strip adapter including structure defining a test strip receiving channel; a light source oriented within said housing for directing light toward said test strip receiving channel to illuminate a test strip arranged within said test strip adapter; and a light sensor oriented within said housing to sense light reflected from a test strip carried by said test strip receiving channel.
INTEGRATED DEVICE FOR FAECES SAMPLING AND OCCULT BLOOD DETECTION
Disclosed is an integrated device for faeces sampling and occult blood detection, which has functions of quantitative collection, dissolution, filtration, detection with immune test strips of the faecal sample, and is convenient to carry and operate, and the device does not leak any liquid during storage, transportation and detection. The device can accurately collect a constant sample with no pollution and leakage, and can quickly determine results of occult blood without the aid of other items. The device can detect faecal occult blood at any time and at any place, can help to overcome the problem of low rate of inspection due to the inconvenience of faeces submission and inspection, further promote the detection of faecal occult blood, and can improve the early diagnosis and screening rate of colorectal cancer of the population.
INTEGRATED DEVICE FOR MEDICAL SAMPLING AND TESTING
An integrated device for medical sampling and testing, comprising a sampling rod (15) and a casing. A test paper accommodating cavity (2) and a diluent cavity (5) are included in the casing. A liquid outlet (4) is provided at a bottom part of the diluent cavity (5), and a hole-plugging object (14) is provided on the liquid outlet (4). The preset device has a simple structure, and may simultaneously achieve the sampling, dilution and testing of feces. Moreover, the device may integrate the collection, dilution, mixing, sample addition and testing of a feces sample, so that an ordinary person may screen people at home who are at high-risk for bowel and stomach cancer, which is of great social significance. The device has a clever structure, is easy to use, and also ensures the pre-filled diluent is sealed in.
TOOTHBRUSH
A toothbrush for brushing a user's teeth is a T-shaped member having a handle forming a lower part of the T and a head forming the upper, transverse part of the T. A plurality of bristles extends outwardly from a surface of the head. A combination of at least the head and the plurality of bristles together provides about a 45-degree brushing angle relative to a side surface of a tooth of a user.
TONGUE SPONGE FOR IMPROVING ORAL CARE
A tongue sponge for improving oral care includes a wand, a carrier, and a sponge head. The wand has an attachment post positioned at one end thereof. The carrier is for removably and replaceably coupling to the attachment post of the wand. The sponge head has a receptacle for receiving the carrier in a fixed position, with an outwardly facing surface of the sponge extending outwardly around the entire carrier.
ORTHODONTIC CHEW AND COMFORT TAPE
An orthodontic chew for use with braces includes an elongated tubular member made of a chewable food grade silicone and including an ingredient that improves oral health during usage of braces. A comfort tape for use with braces includes a strip of flexible and stretchable material that is infused with an ingredient to improve oral care during treatment with braces.
Cupless urinalysis strip holder and urine collector
An aspect of some embodiment of the present invention relates to a kit for home urine collection and in office urine collection. The kit comprises a collector device and a clip. The collector device comprises a holder portion and a connector portion, the holder portion being configured to receive a sponge. The clip comprises an elongated main body and an extension extending perpendicularly to a longitudinal dimension of the main body, the extension being configured to cooperate with the holder portion to removably join the clip to the collector device.
