In an embodiment, a fluid collection device is disclosed. The fluid collection device includes a fluid impermeable barrier at least partially defining an interior chamber and an opening through which the interior chamber is exposed to an external environment. The fluid collection device includes a fluid permeable body positioned at least partially within the interior chamber to extend across at least a portion of the opening and configured to wick fluid away from the opening. The fluid collection device includes one or more retention components for retaining the fluid collection device on labia of a wearer by engaging with one or more of legs, pelvis, or buttocks of the wearer. The fluid collection device includes a conduit extending into the interior chamber.
Cell Collection Device II
There is provided an apparatus for collecting/isolating cells from a sample including the target cells comprising: a membrane adapted to retain the target cells thereon, a first port in fluid communication with the membrane provided towards a first side of the membrane, a second port in fluid communication with the membrane provided towards a second side of the membrane, a sample container having at least one wall defining an interior space suitable to house the sample, provided on the first side of the membrane, a cell collection container provided towards the first side of the membrane, a filtrate container provided towards the second side of the membrane, a backwash fluid container provided towards the second side of the membrane, wherein the first port is movable between a first position wherein the first port is in fluid communication with the sample container, and a second position wherein the first port is in fluid communication with the cell collection container; and
wherein the second port is movable between a first position wherein the second port is in fluid communication with the filtrate container, and a second position wherein the second port is in fluid communication with the backwash fluid container.
Health seat for toilets and bidets
An intelligent toilet that includes a toilet base having a bowl, a seat assembly comprising a seat, and a urine collection system integrated with the seat assembly, wherein the urine collection system includes an analyzer that is configured to test urine from a user and provide output health data of the user.
Testing device for a uroflowmeter
The test lab set-up includes a test flow bench for mounting one or more test devices, an adjustable nozzle for simulating urine flow, and a sensor for collecting data associated with the simulated urine flowing through the test device(s). A computing device for measuring and/or calculating various parameters associated with the simulated urine flow may also be included. The test device may have a shape corresponding to a handheld uroflowmeter subject to testing. The angle of the adjustable nozzle may be adjusted to test for various angles of urine flow. Similarly, the angle, pitch, and roll of the test device may be adjusted to test for various angles at which a uroflowmeter is held. As fluid flows through the test device, the sensor collects information such as, for example, flow rate, duration, volume, and the like. The sensor transmits the data collected to a computing device for additional processing.
In-Line Urinalysis System and Method
Disclosed herein is a system for performing urinalysis of transurethral patients. The system includes a tubing set to receive urine from a urethral catheter. A detector assembly is operatively coupled between the tubing set and a urinalysis module coupled. The system can perform urinalysis of a urine sample disposed within the tubing set and render urinalysis information on a display of the module. Also disclosed is a method of performing urinalysis that can include operations of: (i) placing a urine sample within a cuvette of a urinalysis system, the cuvette including a lumen extending between an inlet and an outlet; (ii) projecting coherent light into the sample; (iii) collecting output light exiting the sample; (iv)extracting urinalysis data from the collected light; and (v) rendering urinalysis results on a display of the system.
FLUID COLLECTION ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING A SAMPLE PORT
Fluid collection assemblies (100, 200, 300a, 300b, 400a, 400b, 500, 600) including a sample port (112, 212, 312, 412a, 412b, 512), systems (146a) including the same, and methods of using the same are disclosed herein. An example fluid collection assembly (100) includes a fluid impermeable barrier (102) including a first end region (104), a second end region (106) opposite the first end region, and a sump (108) that forms at least a portion of the first end region. The fluid impermeable barrier also defines at least one opening (114) between the first end region and the second end region and a fluid reservoir that is defined by at least a portion of the sump. The fluid collection assembly also includes at least one wicking material (138) disposed in the chamber (116) and a sample port (112) extending from the sump. The sample port is configured to be connected to a fluid collector (144a). The sample port is in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir (110) such that a sample of the bodily fluids received by the fluid collection assembly may be obtained.
COLLECTION CONTAINER
A collection container can include a first end, a second end, and a central recess disposed between the first end and the second end. The central recess can be configured to receive a sample. The collection container can have a first stopper disposed adjacent to the first end and a second stopper disposed adjacent to the second end. The first stopper and the second stopper can be configured to together grasp opposite sides of a toilet bowl upon installation of the collection container on the toilet bowl. The first stopper and the second stopper selectively hold the collection container in place on the toilet bowl during collection of the sample.
URINE COLOR SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE OF THE SAME
