Particulate formulations for enhancing growth in animals
Disclosed are compositions, kits, and methods for enhancing growth in an animal in need thereof. The methods typically comprise administering orally to the animal a composition comprising biodegradable particles, the biodegradable particles comprising a polymer or a co-polymer comprising polymerized lactic acid and having an effective average diameter of 0.5-5 μm. In the methods, the animal is administered a dose of the biodegradable particles that is effective for improving feed conversion rate in the animal in comparison to an animal that is not administered the composition.
Infectious disease vaccine using non-infectious paramyxovirus particle
In this invention, a non-infectious particle has been produced, comprising a pathogen antigen protein caused to be expressed on the surface of a virus particle having at least one species of paramyxovirus envelope protein missing from the particle. This particle has been found to hold within the particle a large amount of antigen protein compared to an infectious particle, and to be capable of eliciting a host immune response with extremely high efficiency. The non-infectious particle according to the present invention is useful as a vaccine against a pathogenic virus, or the like.
VIRUS VECTOR PRODUCTION
An enveloped viral particle producer or packaging cell, wherein the cell is genetically engineered to decrease expression of CD47 on the surface of the cell.
A VACCINE FOR USE IN THE PROPHYLAXIS AND/OR TREATMENT OF A DISEASE
The present invention relates to an adenoviral vector capable of encoding a virus-like particle (VLP), said VLP displaying an inactive immune-suppressive domain (ISD). The vaccine of the invention shows an improved immune response from either of both of the response pathways initiated by CD4 T cells or CD8 T cells.
Vaccine for use in the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a disease
The present invention relates to an adenoviral vector capable of encoding a virus-like particle (VLP), said VLP displaying an inactive immune-suppressive domain (ISD). The vaccine of the invention shows an improved immune response from either of both of the response pathways initiated by CD4 T cells or CD8 T cells.
IMPROVED LI VACCINE ADJUVANT
The present invention relates to a vaccine comprising a nucleic acid construct such as a DNA construct especially a nucleic acid construct comprising sequences encoding invariant chain operatively linked to antigenic protein or peptide encoding sequences. The present vaccine stimulates an enhanced immune response.

Microparticulated Vaccines for the Oral or Nasal Vaccination and Boostering of Animals Including Fish
The invention relates to a composition and a method for manufacturing semi-dry or dry particles containing a mucoadhesive polymer and a bioactive agent such as, but not limited to, an Immunogenic Substance (e.g., a vaccine), that allows the oral or nasal administration and delivery of the bioactive agent essentially unaltered to mucosal surfaces in the animal, including an aquatic animal.
