FRICTIONAL TISSUE SAMPLING AND COLLECTION METHOD AND DEVICE
In an embodiment of the invention, a frictional tissue sampling device with a head designed to be rotated without rotating off the designated site can be used to obtain tissue biopsy samples. A frictional tissue sampling device with a head designed to be rotated without rotating off the designated site can be used to obtain an epithelial tissue biopsy sample from lesions. The device can be otherwise used to sample specific locations. In various embodiments, the head of the device is narrow and pointed with a hybrid pear shaped diamond facet. The facet contour can be concave, convex or flat. Abrasive material can be adhered to the facet contour.
PERSONAL CERVICAL CELL COLLECTION DEVICE, KIT AND METHOD
A cervical cell collection device, kit and method for the collection of cervical cells is provided. In some embodiments, the cervical cell collection device comprises an outer guide assembly having a distal end section with an aperture there through; an inner assembly positioned within the outer guide assembly, the inner assembly having a distal end with a collapsible collection pad secured thereto by a flexible collection support, wherein the inner assembly is movable from a first position where the collection pad is folded inside distal end section of the outer guide assembly to a second position where the collection pad is pushed through the aperture in the distal end of the outer guide assembly where it expands to contact and collect cervical cells.
Methods and compositions for endometrial cell and tissue sampling
The present invention comprises methods and devices comprising a scraping element used to contact circumferentially and longitudinally the surface walls of the uterine cavity to provide for broad contact of the intended surface with the device, resulting in attainment of a sufficient volume and comprehensive tissue sample for analysis as an endometrial biopsy or screening uterine cancer. The device may provide for a reservoir for the obtained sample to be contained when removing from the uterine cavity, cervical canal, and vagina. The device may be comprised of a detachable means or be of a material that allows the user to cut the sampling head of the device for placement in collection means to maximize the amount of tissue or cells being sent to the laboratory for analysis.
INTRAUTERINE TISSUE COLLECTION INSTRUMENT
An intrauterine tissue collecting instrument includes a flexible outer tube, a flexible inner tube within the outer tube, and a shaft member within the inner tube. The flexible outer tube includes an outer tube distal end portion that can be open at at least three slits 4. The flexible inner tube includes an inner tube distal end portion including a plurality of side openings. The shaft member includes a diameter-expanded distal end portion. The intrauterine tissue collecting instrument can collect intrauterine tissue through suction in a state where the inner tube protrudes from the outer tube within the uterus. The inner tube distal end portion can be housed again in the flexible outer tube within the uterus.
CELL COLLECTION AND PREPARATION DEVICES AND METHODS
According to exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, a system for collection and analysis of cells from a body lumen of a patient may include a diagnostics device including a tube having a distal end and a proximal end and a balloon having a first end coupled to the distal end of the tube. The balloon may be disposed in the tube in a first, inverted position and movable to a second, everted position. A push wire may have a distal end coupled to a second end of the balloon. The balloon may be movable from the first inverted position to the second everted position by actuation of the push wire. One or more receptacles may be included for processing a balloon sample. The system may further include at least one of a sample preparation fluid, a sample preservation liquid, or both. The sample may be preparable for cytological analysis.
FETAL TROPHOBLAST COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
Provided herein are compositions comprising populations of cells obtained from a pregnant subject comprising at least one of a Hofbauer cell, a cytotrophoblast, a syncytiotrophoblast, an extravillous trophoblast, a villous core stroma, or a fetal vascular cell; a stabilization buffer, wherein the stabilization buffer comprises a preservative; and a cellulosic collection device, wherein at least a subset of the population of cells are intact and inviable and methods of making and using such compositions.
TISSUE SAMPLE DEVICE AND METHODS
A tissue collection system for collection a sample from the body. The system includes an outer tubular member having a proximal end region to a distal end region and defining a lumen extending from the proximal end region to the distal end region, an inner tubular member slidably disposed within the lumen of the outer tubular member, the inner tubular member defining a lumen extending from a proximal end region to a distal end region of the inner tubular member, and a tissue collection device disposed adjacent to the distal end region of the inner tubular member.
Methods and Devices for Cervical Cell and Tissue Sampling
The present invention comprises methods and devices comprising a cutting element used to contact circumferentially and longitudinally the surface walls of the endocervical canal to provide for broad and complete contact of the intended surface with the device, resulting in attainment of a sufficient volume and comprehensive tissue sample for analysis as an endocervical curettage or screening pap smear. The device may provide for a reservoir for the obtained sample to be contained when removing from the cervical canal and vagina. The device may be comprised of a detachable means or be of a material that allows the user to cut the sampling head of the device for placement in collection means to maximize the amount of tissue or cells being sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Tissue removal system
A tissue removal device includes an outer tubular member coupled to a housing and a having a tissue resection window, an inner tubular member slidably disposed within the outer tubular member, a tissue trap having a sealed interior in fluid communication with a vacuum chamber, an open proximal end of the inner tubular member being disposed within the tissue trap interior, and an actuator moveably coupled to the housing and operatively connected to a movable piston in the vacuum chamber, such that movement of the actuator relative to the housing generates a vacuum in the tissue trap.
Systems, methods, and devices for fallopian tube diagnostics
The present disclosure generally relates to devices, systems, and methods for Fallopian tube diagnostics. In some embodiments a tube may have a distal end, and a balloon may have a first end coupled to the distal end of the tube. The balloon may be disposed in the tube in a first, inverted position, may be movable to a second, everted position, and may be extendable a distance distal of the tube. An extending portion may have a proximal end coupled to a second end of the balloon. The extending portion may be disposed within the balloon in the first inverted position, and may be extendable from the second end of the balloon in the second everted position.
