The apparatus also includes a display including a pH measurement result. The apparatus also includes an apparatus tip including a reference electrode and a plurality of sensing surfaces, wherein each of the plurality of sensing surfaces is connected to a base of a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) device. The BJT device further includes a collector and an emitter. The apparatus also includes automation circuitry including a processing unit in communication with the apparatus tip and the display. The plurality of sensing surfaces includes a conducting material.
Biopsy forceps with serrated cutting jaws
A biopsy forceps device includes a tension member and an end effector including first and second jaws movable between an open configuration, in which the jaws are separated from one another to receive target tissue therebetween, and a closed configuration, in which cutting edges of the jaws are moved toward one another to cut a portion of the target tissue. The jaws define a tissue receiving space therebetween to house the cut tissue. The jaws are pivotable relative to one another, each of the jaws including a serrated cutting edge extending therealong, the end effector further including a tension member attachment including a proximal end coupled to the tension member. The attachment is movably coupled to the jaws so that distal movement of the attachment moves the jaws to the open configuration while proximal movement thereof moves the jaws to the closed configuration.

SURGICAL INSTRUMENT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT, AND USE OF A ROTARY JOINT FOR FORMING A CUTTING TOOL OF A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT
The invention relates to a surgical instrument for separating and removing a biopsy. A suction channel for suctioning the biopsy out of a distal region in the direction of a proximal region is formed in a shaft, and/or a cutting tool is formed in one distal region or the distal region of the shaft, said cutting tool having a stationary cutting part and a counter cutting part which can be adjusted relative to the stationary cutting part about a rotational axis formed by a rotary joint wherein the cross-section of the suction channel expands in the suction direction from the distal region to the proximal region and/or the rotary joint is formed by two securing elements, each securing element being introduced from the interior to the exterior.

SELF-RIGHTING SYSTEMS AND RELATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
Self-righting articles, such as self-righting capsules for administration to a subject, are generally provided. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may be configured such that the article may orient itself relative to a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). The self-righting articles described herein may comprise one or more tissue engaging surfaces configured to engage (e.g., interface with, inject into, anchor) with a surface (e.g., a surface of a tissue of a subject). In some embodiments, the self-righting article may have a particular shape and/or distribution of density (or mass) which, for example, enables the self-righting behavior of the article. In some embodiments, the self-righting article may comprise a tissue interfacing component and/or a pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery of the active pharmaceutical agent to a location internal of the subject). In some cases, upon contact of the tissue with the tissue engaging surface of the article, the self-righting article may be configured to release one or more tissue interfacing components. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component is associated with a self-actuating component. For example, the self-righting article may comprise a self-actuating component configured, upon exposure to a fluid, to release the tissue interfacing component from the self-righting article. In some cases, the tissue interfacing component may comprise and/or be associated with the pharmaceutical agent (e.g., for delivery to a location internal to a subject).
Excisional devices and methods
A platform device for material excision or removal from vascular structures for either handheld or stereotactic table use may comprise a work element or elements configured to selectively open and close at least one articulable beak or scoopula configured to penetrate and remove intra-vascular materials or obstructions, or follow a central lumen of another device or over a wire in a longitudinal direction. Flush and vacuum tissue transport mechanisms may be incorporated. A single tube or an inner sheath and an outer sheath which may be co-axially disposed relative to a work element may be configured to actuate a beak or beaks or scoopulas and provisions for simultaneous beak or scoopula closing under rotation may be incorporated.
Endoscopic treatment tool
The present invention relates to an endoscopic treatment instrument, and more particularly, to an endoscopic treatment instrument including a detachable end-effector and a contamination prevention cover. The endoscopic treatment instrument includes an end-effector for performing treatment in the endoscopic surgery or an endoscope treatment, a connection section being detachably coupled to an end of the end-effector, and a contamination prevention cover being coupled to the connection section or the end-effector and surrounding a portion of an outer peripheral surface of the connection section so as to prevent contamination of the connection section. According to an embodiment of the present invention, since only the end-effector is separable for replacement and the cover is formed to protect a control unit, it is possible to prevent cross infection between patients caused by the contamination of the end-effector and the control unit.
BIOPSY DEVICE
A biopsy device configured to engage target tissue within a patient and to remove a sample of the target tissue from the patient. The biopsy device comprises an elongate catheter configured to be inserted into a patient. A sampling component is disposed at the distal end of the catheter to sample the target tissue.
