Pharmaceutical composition containing a stabilised mRNA optimised for translation in its coding regions

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a modified mRNA that is stabilised by sequence modifications and optimised for translation. The pharmaceutical composition according to the invention is particularly well suited for use as an inoculating agent, as well as a therapeutic agent for tissue regeneration. In addition, a process is described for determining sequence modifications that promote stabilisation and translational efficiency of modified mRNA of the invention.

Fusion peptides of CD4 helper T cell epitopes and vaccines thereof

Disclosed are a fusion peptide of CD4 helper T cell epitopes, a nucleic acid encoding the same and an immunogenic composition comprising the same. The epitope fusion peptide comprises a cytomegalovirus epitope and an influenza virus epitope. The epitope fusion peptide can substantially improve the level of cellular immune response to a target immunogen, particularly a weak immunogen, and is an effective means for overcoming the immune tolerance of immune system to an antigen, particularly to a tumor antigen or an infection-related antigen, and is suitable for efficiently enhancing the efficacy of vaccine.

COMPOSITIONS AND DEVICES FOR VACCINE RELEASE AND USES THEREOF

Microneedle and microneedle devices including implantable tips (e.g., silk-based tips) for sustained dermal delivery of a coronavirus and/or influenza vaccine, kits, as well as methods of manufacturing and using the same are described herein. In other embodiments, compositions and methods for controlled- or sustained-administration of a coronavirus vaccine and/or an influenza vaccine to provide improved immunogenicity and/or broad-spectrum immunity to a subject are also described.

GENE THERAPY METHODS

Provided are methods for reducing the risk of occurrence and/or the severity of transaminitis in a subject that is receiving a gene therapy.

Paramyxoviridae expression system

The present invention relates to the field of (vector) vaccines, and especially to an enhanced arrangement of nucleotide sequences for expressing a Paramyxoviridae virus containing an exogenous gene of interest. The present invention further concerns related expression cassettes and vectors, which are suitable to express genes of interest, especially antigen encoding sequences. The viral vectors of the present invention are useful for producing an immunogenic composition or vaccine.

The present invention relates to virus-like particles of plant virus Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV), and in particular to modified VLPs of CMV comprising Th cell epitopes, in particular universal Th cell epitopes. Furthermore, these modified VLPs serve as, preferably, vaccine platform, for generating immune responses, in particular antibody responses, against antigens linked to said modified VLPs. The presence of the Th cell epitopes, in particular universal Th cell epitopes, led to a further increase in the generated immune response.

Engineered influenza antigenic polypeptides and immunogenic compositions thereof

The present invention provides, among other things, a novel and improved method for generating “mosaic” influenza antigenic polypeptides including hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) polypeptides based on unique combination of epitope patterns that maximize exposure to epitopes present across multiple HA or NA sequences and therefore improved influenza strain coverage. In particular, the present invention provides engineered H1N1 influenza hemagglutinin (HA) polypeptides that are comprised of novel combinations of protective epitopes and antigenic regions from multiple H1N1 viral strains. Such engineered HA polypeptides have improved properties over HA polypeptides developed through conventional approaches that rely on consensus alignments of viral sequences.

Multivalent Live-attenuated Influenza Vaccine for Prevention and Control of Equine Influenza Virus (EIV) in Horses

The present invention provides compositions and methods related to equine live-attenuated influenza vaccines. In one aspect, the invention relates to a composition comprising a multivalent equine live-attenuated influenza vaccine comprising a first live-attenuated influenza virus expressing one or more antigens of a clade 1 H3N8 equine influenza virus; and a second live-attenuated influenza virus expressing one or more antigens of a clade 2 H3N8 equine influenza virus, wherein the second live-attenuated influenza virus expresses HA, NA, or a combination thereof of A/equine/Lancashire/1/2016 H3N8.
