Effective vaccination against porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) virus prior to weaning
The invention provides isolated polynucleotide molecules that comprise a DNA sequence encoding an infectious RNA sequence encoding a genetically-modified North American PRRS virus, methods to make it and related polypeptides, polynucleotides, and various components. Vaccines comprising the genetically modified virus and polynucleotides and a diagnostic kit to distinguish between naturally infected and vaccinated animals are also provided.
Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus cDNA clone and uses thereof
The present invention relates to a method for preparing cDNA infectious clones based on the genome of an attenuated Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus (PRRSV) and uses thereof for preparing efficacious and safety-enhanced vaccines against PRRSV. The invention further comprises an infectious cDNA clone obtainable by such method. The invention further provides an attenuated modified PRRSV, and immunogenic compositions and vaccines comprising that attenuated PRRSV. The present invention further provides the attenuated PRRSV for use in the prophylaxis and/or the treatment of PRRSV infections, and the attenuated PRRSV for use as vaccine or medicament in the prophylaxis and/or the treatment of PRRSV infections.
Methods of manufacturing an immunogenic composition comprising a recombinant protein
The present invention relates to a porcine parvovirus and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus vaccine for protecting a subject, preferably swine, against diseases associated with porcine parvovirus and porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus. The present invention further relates to methods of producing immunogenic compositions as well as such immunogenic compositions exhibiting reduced virucidal activity.
CHIMERIC MOLECULES AND USES THEREOF
Disclosed are chimeric polypeptides based on viral membrane fusion proteins. More particularly, the present invention discloses chimeric polypeptides that comprise a virion surface exposed portion of a viral fusion protein and a heterologous structure-stabilizing moiety, and to complexes of those chimeric polypeptides. The present invention also discloses the use of these complexes in compositions and methods for eliciting an immune response to a fusion protein of an enveloped virus, or complex of the fusion protein, and/or for treating or preventing an enveloped virus infection. The present invention further discloses the use of the heterologous structure-stabilizing moiety for oligomerizing heterologous molecules of interest.
COMBINATION PORCINE VACCINE
The present invention relates to a vaccine comprising an antigen of Lawsonia intracellularis and one or more antigens of at least one further pathogen selected from the group of porcine circovirus (PCV), Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo.) and porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus (PRRSV), wherein the antigen of Lawsonia intracellularis is live Lawsonia intracellularis.
Prime-Boost Vaccination Regimen
The present invention relates to a method of vaccination. Specifically the invention regards to a prime-boost vaccination regimen for protecting a target animal against infection or disease caused by a virus, wherein the vaccination regimen comprises the administration to said target animal of a vaccine comprising a live attenuated form of said virus, followed by the administration to said target animal of a vaccine comprising an RP encoding one or more antigens from said virus.
VACCINES, ADJUVANTS, AND METHODS OF GENERATING AN IMMUNE RESPONSE
Provided herein are vaccines including coronavirus antigens and E6020, as well as methods of mitigation of coronavirus infection by administering those vaccines.
Vaccine delivery method
A vaccine delivery method is presented that includes a composition including as one component a slurry matrix that is a liquid at room temperature and a gel at physiological pH, physiological salt concentrations and/or physiological temperatures and as a second component one or more antigens. Also included are methods of inducing an immune response in a subject and vaccinating a subject by administering such compositions.
Bacillus based delivery system and methods of use
Herein a Bacillus exosporium antigen delivery (BEAD) system that provides a means to introduce recombinant proteins or small molecules into the exosporium of members of the B. cereus family of bacteria, i.e. B. anthracis, B. cereus, and B. thuringiensis, is disclosed. The system results in the surface display of recombinant proteins or small molecules such that they can stimulate an immune response. In addition, methods of making and using the system are described.
