ABLATION CATHETER TIP WITH FLEXIBLE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY
20230000545 · 2023-01-05 ·

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to, for example, a high-thermal-sensitivity ablation catheter tip. More specifically, various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to improved thermocouple response to temperature changes associated with an ablation electrode and/or tissue in contact therewith. Such an ablation catheter tip facilitates reduced lag in an ablation control system's response to the sensed temperature changes.

SEPTAL CROSSING SYSTEM
20230001138 · 2023-01-05 ·

A septal cross system is provided for a cerclage procedure for treating dysfunctional heart. The cerclage septal cross system includes a puncture catheter and a capture catheter. The puncture catheter a puncture catheter comprises a first lumen for a guidewire to be inserted thereinto. A coil element is arranged in the distal portion of the puncture catheter. The distal end of the pull-wire is attached to the distal portion of the coil element. The proximal end of the pull-wire is extended to the distal portion of the puncture catheter. The pull-wire is configured to bend inwardly the distal portion of the puncture catheter. A capture catheter comprises a first lumen for a first guidewire to be inserted thereinto and a second lumen for a second guidewire to be inserted thereinto. The distal end of the second wire has a snare wherein the distal portion is deflectable.

Sealing device and delivery system

The invention relates to a sealing device for repair of cardiac and vascular defects or tissue opening such as a patent foramen ovale (PFO) or shunt in the heart, the vascular system, etc. and particularly provides an occluder device and trans-catheter occluder delivery system. The sealing device would have improved conformity to heart anatomy and be easily deployed, repositioned, and retrieved at the opening site.

Joint repair system

A joint stabilization (reduction) system and associated methods and tools for placement of the system in an open or minimally invasive technique. The joint stabilization system includes a flexible prosthetic band for stabilizing the bones in proper position and a connector mechanism for joining the two ends of the prosthetic band around the bones. One end of the prosthetic band can be permanently attached to the connector.

TISSUE-REMOVING CATHETER WITH A COUPLED INNER LINER

The present disclosure provides a tissue-removing catheter for removing tissue in a body lumen that includes an elongate body, a handle, tissue-removing element, liner assembly, and coupling assembly. The elongate body is sized and shaped to be received in the body lumen. The tissue-removing element is mounted on a distal end portion of the elongate body and removes tissue as rotated by the elongate body. The liner assembly defines a guidewire lumen. The coupling assembly is coupled to the liner assembly with a first orientation and a second orientation relative to the coupling assembly. The first orientation permits distal movement of the liner assembly relative to the coupling assembly prior to rotation of the elongate body to rotate the tissue-removing element. The second orientation is relative to the coupling assembly after rotation of the elongate body to prevent distal movement of the liner assembly relative to the coupling assembly.

PERCUTANEOUS LARGE HOLE PROCEDURE
20230027775 · 2023-01-26 ·

A set of devices and associated methodology for percutaneously closing a puncture through the wall of an artery. The method includes inserting a guide wire through a percutaneous entry and into the artery; using the guide wire to guide an insertion of an introducer catheter into the artery; inserting a balloon catheter through the introducer catheter and into the artery; locking a firing mechanism loaded with fasteners onto the introducer catheter, thereby aligning the puncture with a distal working end of the firing mechanism; activating the firing mechanism to fire two or more fasteners onto the artery, each fastener individually tethered to a suture; percutaneously tying the sutures together to draw the fasteners together, closing the puncture.

Image space control for endovascular tools

Systems and methods for image space control of a medical instrument are provided. In one example, a system is configured to display a two-dimensional medical image including a view of at least a distal end of an instrument. The system can determine, based on one or more fiducials on the instrument, a roll estimate of the instrument. The system further can receive a user input comprising a heading command to change a heading of the instrument within a plane of the medical image, or an incline command to change an incline of the instrument into or out of the plane of the medical image. Based on the roll estimate and the user input, the system can generate one or more motor commands configured to cause a robotic system coupled to the medical instrument to move the robotic medical instrument.

Assembly for placement of a cardiac, aortic or arterial implant with stimulation assistance by a peripheral venous or arterial catheter
11559331 · 2023-01-24 · ·

An assembly for placement of a cardiac, aortic or arterial implant. The assembly includes an insertion sheath of an introducer or of a delivery catheter, which is of a size smaller than that of an introducer, intended to be introduced into an artery of a human body. The metal support of an electrode of the external cardiac stimulator being integrated into the insertion sheath of a peripheral venous or arterial accessory catheter, or a sleeve around the accessory catheter, which is introduced into the peripheral vein or artery of a patient. The sheath of the accessory catheter or the sleeve is therefore directly in contact with a peripheral vein or artery of the patient.

An embolic material which prevents flow of a biological fluid by being placed in a body lumen via a catheter, the embolic material comprising a material that swells by contacting the biological fluid. The embolic material includes a long filler that is formed smaller than an inner diameter of the catheter. The filler prevents the flow of the biological fluid by bending when brought into contact with the biological fluid due to the difference in swelling characteristics between a first side portion and a second side portion that extend parallel to one another in a longitudinal direction.
