A delivery device for staged deployment of an implantable device to a target area. The delivery device includes a deployment handle and one or more lock lines extending from the deployment handle through the catheter to the implantable device, the one or more lock lines being configured to engage with the implantable device to allow locking of the implantable device.
REMOVABLE INTEGRATED ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY FOR ELECTROSURGICAL FORCEPS
An actuator assembly connects to a tool plug at a proximal end of a conventional bipolar electrosurgical forceps having electrodes at a distal end for applying electrical current to tissue. A switch body with an integral power cord includes a plug mount that accepts the tool plug and a switch for connecting the tool plug to an electrical generating apparatus when the switch is closed. An actuator body mounted to the switch body includes a pivotally mounted switch actuating member to which an actuator lever arm is adjustably mounted. The switch body and actuator body are configured so that when the tool is held in the user's hand with the plug mount secured to the tool plug, the actuator lever arm can be positioned for movement by a finger of the user's hand to move the switch actuating member and close the switch.
SET OF TOOLS FOR INSTALLING AN IMPLANT
A set of tools for installation of a stem implant into a bone comprises a stem-shaped priming tool (1) having a distal tip (32) and a plurality of cutting teeth (31) along a length thereof and a plurality of stem-shaped broaches (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) of different size. Each of the broaches have a distal tip (32) and a plurality of cutting teeth (31) along a length thereof. The priming tool (1) is shorter than, has more cutting teeth (31) per unit length, and has a sharper distal tip (32) than the smallest broach.
ADAPTER INSERTER AND DOCKING STATION
Disclosed is a system (100) for inserting an adapter. The system can include a docking station (104) and an adapter inserter (102). The docking station can include a handle block (108), a push assembly, and a linkage (320) connecting knob push handle (120) to an engagement tube pull block (324). The engagement tube pull block (324) can extend from the linkage through a portion of the handle bock. The adapter inserter (102) can include a handle body (112), an engagement assembly (116), and a clamp (412). The handle body can be sized to fit in a first recess (110) defined by the handle block body. The engagement assembly (116) can extend from a second end of the handle body (112) and can be configured to engage the adapter (132) at a tip of the engagement assembly. The clamp (412) can be located within and proximate a second end of the handle body so as to engage a portion of the engagement assembly.
VERTEBRAL JOINT IMPLANTS AND DELIVERY TOOLS
A spinal joint distraction system for treating a facet joint including articular surfaces having a contour is disclosed and may include a delivery device including a generally tubular structure adapted to engage a facet joint, an implant adapted to be delivered through the delivery device and into the facet joint, the implant comprising two members arranged in opposed position, and an implant distractor comprising a generally elongate member adapted to advance between the two members of the implant causing separation of the members and distraction of the facet joint, wherein the implant is adapted to conform to the shape of the implant distractor and/or the articular surfaces of the facet upon being delivered to the facet joint. Several embodiments of a system, several embodiments of an implant, and several methods are disclosed including a method for interbody fusion.
Surgical instrument set for use during unilateral biportal endoscopy
Disclosed is a method of unilateral biportal endoscopy and a surgical instrument set used in the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of unilateral biportal endoscopy which separately secures a working portal for surgical instruments and an endoscopic portal for an endoscope, thereby providing a more accurate spinal surgery, and to a surgical instrument set which can be effectively applied to the method.
Disposable rasp for medical instruments
Disclosed are aspects of a hybrid plastic and co-molded metal cutting head and a method of forming same. The method includes forming a metal rasp head having a fluid pathway therethrough and molding an elongated body with support into the rasp head via said fluid pathway wherein the fluid pathway into one or more sides.
Surgical guide for positioning a resurfacing head implant
The present invention relates to a guide for positioning a resurfacing head implant into the appropriate position and angles on the femur bone. The present invention therefore provides a guide system for an implantable device (e.g. a resurfacing head implant), said guide system comprising a first component arranged to act as a clamp and a second component arranged to interact with the first component to prevent movement of said first component when clamped.
Surgical instruments with coupling members to effect multiple pivot axes
Various embodiments relate generally to surgical instruments, tools, and apparatuses for medical use, including, but not limited to, forceps, tweezers, and pincers, as well as other anatomical tools for surgical and medical uses, and, more specifically, to surgical instruments implementing a coupling member to effectuate multiple pivot axes enhance, for example, effective lengths with which to access an internal surgical site. In some examples, a surgical instrument may include lever members, each of which may include a pivot portion, a force application portion, and a contacting portion. The surgical instrument may also include a coupling member configured to position multiple pivot portions adjacent proximal ends of a first and second lever member to effectuate a closing state at which contacting portions are positioned at a second distance, which is less than the first distance, at distal ends of a first and second lever member.
Actuator support structure for surgical stapler
A surgical stapler includes first and second elongate members, a clamp member, and a firing assembly. The second elongate member is configured to receive a staple cartridge. The clamp member is operable to releasably clamp the first elongate member against the second elongate member. The firing assembly is translatable to fire the staple cartridge. The firing assembly includes a slider and an actuator configured to be selectively actuated by a user. The slider includes inner and outer engagement features. The actuator includes inner and outer engagement features. The inner engagement feature of the actuator is configured to engage with the inner engagement feature of the slider at a first interface when the actuator moves relative to the slider. The outer engagement feature of the actuator is configured to engage the outer engagement feature of the slider at a second interface when the actuator moves relative to the slider.
