VESSEL CLOSURE DEVICE WITH IMPROVED SAFETY AND TRACT HEMOSTASIS
A vessel closure device for delivering immediate hemostasis at a puncture site in a wall of a blood vessel includes an intravascular anchor having one or more suture attachment points, an extravascular cap having a lumen, a sealant, and a suture connected to at least one of the one or more suture attachment points of the intravascular anchor and threaded through the lumen of the extravascular cap, wherein each of the intravascular anchor, extravascular cap, sealant, and suture are formed of bioabsorbable materials.
Minimally invasive surgical devices, systems, and methods
A surgical instrument assembly is provided. In some embodiments, an example surgical instrument assembly includes a surgical instrument configured to pass through a guide tube having a proximal end and a distal end. The surgical instrument can include one or more arms configured to extend from the intermediate position, each arm having one or more joints positioned along the arm and an end effector attached at the distal end of each arm. The surgical instrument assembly can include a control assembly positioned at the proximal end and configured to control the movement of the joints and the end effectors.
Tarsal-metatarsal joint procedure utilizing fulcrum
A technique for correcting a bone deformity, such as a bunion, may be performed using a fulcrum. In some examples, the technique involves inserting a fulcrum between a first metatarsal that is anatomically misaligned with respect to a second metatarsal. The technique further includes preparing an end of the first metatarsal and preparing an end of a medial cuneiform opposing the end of the first metatarsal. In addition, a distal portion of the first metatarsal is moved toward the second metatarsal in a transverse plane, thereby pivoting a proximal portion of the first metatarsal about the fulcrum and reducing an intermetatarsal angle between the first metatarsal and the second metatarsal.
Uterine manipulator
Embodiments disclose uterine manipulators, dye delivery systems and fornix delineators that address several issues, such as minimizing surgical error, minimizing loss of parts inside a patients, enabling easy manipulation of a patient's anatomy, securing and removing the device into and from the patient atraumatically, preventing loss of pnuemoperitoneum, and securing the device fastener and components efficiently and atraumatically. An embodiment includes a uterine manipulator having a fornix delineator, uterine shaft, outer tube, fastener, handle, inlet, tip, ring and connecting string, and/or occluder.
PULL CHORD MANUALLY DRIVEN INTRAOSSEOUS INJECTION DEVICES AND METHODS
Manually driven intraosseous devices and associated methods are disclosed. The intraosseous device includes a housing and a transmission at least partially disposed within the housing. The transmission includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion including a manual actuator that is at least partially disposed outside of the housing. The intraosseous device also includes a penetrator assembly releasably connected to the first portion of the transmission. The transmission is configured to transmit a force, which is applied manually to the manual actuator, to the penetrator assembly to rotate the penetrator assembly relative to the housing and to drive the penetrator assembly through a bone into an intraosseous space. The manual actuator is a pull chord and the force is configured to be applied by an operator to a first end of the pull chord to unwind the pull chord and transmit the force to the penetrator assembly.
Spinal facet cage implant
Implementations described and claimed herein provide a spinal facet cage implant for implantation in a spinal facet joint. In one implementation, the implant includes a distal leading end, a proximal trailing end, a first face, and a second face. The distal leading end has a distal surface generally opposite a proximal surface of the proximal trailing end. The first face has a first surface that is generally parallel with a second surface of the second face. The first and second faces extend between the distal leading end and the proximal trailing end. The first and second surfaces having one or more textured features adapted to provide friction with the spinal facet joint. One or more windows are defined in the first and/or second surfaces, and one or more side windows are defined in the first and/or second side surfaces.
Double edged blade grip assembly
A double edged blade assembly includes a double edged blade. Additionally, the double edged blade assembly includes two blade grips coupled to the double edged blade. The two blade grips are coupled to the double edged blade at opposite ends of the double edged blade.
Medical observation apparatus and medical observation system
A medical observation apparatus includes: a camera including a first imager including a plurality of pixels and configured to image a first medical captured-image in which an observation target is imaged, and a second imager including a plurality of pixels, and configured to image a second medical captured-image in which the observation target is imaged, the second imager including more effective pixels than the first imager; and a display controller configured to cause displays to display the first medical captured-image and an image that corresponds to a region set to the second medical captured-image on a display screen of the respective one of the displays corresponding thereto, wherein one of the first medical captured-image and the second medical captured-image is a medical captured image for a right eye, and another one of the first medical captured-image and the second medical captured-image is a medical captured image for a left eye.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS WITH COUPLING MEMBERS TO EFFECT MULTIPLE PIVOT AXES
Various embodiments relate generally to surgical instruments, tools, and apparatuses for medical use, including, but not limited to, forceps, tweezers, and pincers, as well as other anatomical tools for surgical and medical uses, and, more specifically, to surgical instruments implementing a coupling member to effectuate multiple pivot axes enhance, for example, effective lengths with which to access an internal surgical site. In some examples, a surgical instrument may include lever members, each of which may include a pivot portion, a force application portion, and a contacting portion. The surgical instrument may also include a coupling member configured to position multiple pivot portions adjacent proximal ends of a first and second lever member to effectuate a closing state at which contacting portions are positioned at a second distance, which is less than the first distance, at distal ends of a first and second lever member.
Medical display control apparatus and display control method
There is provided a medical display control apparatus including: a display control section configured to control a display of a medical captured image for a right eye and a medical captured image for a left eye captured by an imaging device that images an observation target on a display screen and a display of a pointer object on the display screen. The display control section causes the pointer object to be displayed in correspondence with a depth position of the medical captured image for the right eye and the medical captured image for the left eye.
