Bipolar electrosurgical sealer and divider
An electrosurgical instrument is provided that captures, compresses, fuses and cuts tissue between upper and lower jaws connected to pivotably movable handles. The instrument includes a force and over compression regulation mechanism that is configured such that in a clamped configuration, the jaws delivers a gripping force between the first jaw and the second jaw between a predetermined minimum force and a predetermined maximum force.
MEDICAL SYSTEMS, DEVICE, AND RELATED METHODS THEREOF
A medical device comprising a handle extending between a first end and a second end, a first actuator coupled to the first end of the handle, a first shaft coupled to the second end of the handle, and a second shaft extending from the first shaft, the second shaft including a first articulation section and a second articulation section, wherein an articulation of the first actuator relative to the handle is configured to articulate the first articulation section, an articulation of the handle relative to the first shaft is configured to articulate the second articulation section, and the first articulation section and the second articulation section are restricted to articulating only in a first plane.
Method of attaching a surgical suture inside of a pelvis
A method of attaching a surgical suture inside of a pelvis includes moving an anchor deployment component relative to the anchor delivery component, pushing an anchor out of the anchor delivery component and into tissue inside of the pelvis, and engaging anchor with the tissue inside of the pelvis.
Surgical instrument
A surgical instrument (10), comprising: a surgical execution component (100), a linkage part (200), and a manipulation component (300), the distal end of the linkage part (200) being connected to the surgical execution component (100) and the proximal end of the linkage part (200) being connected to the manipulation component (300). The surgical instrument (10) uses the linkage part (200) having two rotational degrees of freedom, such that when the manipulation component (300) drives, by means of the linkage part (200), the surgical execution component (100) to rotate at a fifth rotational degree of freedom (R5) and/or a sixth rotational degree of freedom (R6), the swing directions of the surgical execution component (100) and the manipulation component (300) at a first rotational degree of freedom (R1) and a second rotational degree of freedom (R2) are consistent. Therefore, the surgical instruction (10) implements technical effects of improving the moving direction accuracy of the surgical execution component (100), improving the accuracy of the action of the surgical instruction (10), and facilitating surgical operations.
HEMOSTATIC DEVICE
A hemostatic device includes a main body belt to be wound around at least a part of a patient's hand/wrist, and a pressing member positionable at a puncture site of the patient's hand to compress the puncture site. The main body belt includes a distal region, and a proximal region farther from the patient's fingertip than the distal region. The distal region includes an anchor portion having a space portion configured to receive the patient's finger and open at opposite ends to receive the patient's finger while the fingertip protrudes distally beyond the anchor portion. The pressing member allows the puncture site to be viewed from outside while the pressing member is at the puncture site, and is fixed to the distal region at a position spaced from the insertion port on an inner surface of the main body belt at which the insertion port is provided.
Instrument for surgery
Provided is an instrument for surgery and, more specifically, to an instrument for surgery which can be manually operated in order to be used for laparoscopic surgery or various types of surgery.
HAND-MOUNTED ILLUMINATION METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICES
A compact precision illumination source mounts on a finger of a user for providing localized illumination for precision tasks such as surgical procedures and other tasks performed in dark or confined spaces. A frame having a circular or arcuate shape engages the finger, and secures an enclosure having a small but powerful bright, light focused on a predetermined region defined by the end of the digit that is likely the activity region for an instrument grasped by the digit. The frame engages a charge module for aligning external conductors for recharging a power supply in the illumination source.
PARALLEL KINEMATIC MECHANISMS WITH DECOUPLED ROTATIONAL MOTIONS
A parallel kinematic mechanism apparatus includes a frame, a handle and an input joint that connects having at least two independent and functionally parallel paths for transmission of motion coupling the handle to the frame. A first path includes a first intermediate body connected to the frame by a first connector and to the handle by a third connector while the second path that is independent from the first path includes a second intermediate body that is connected to the frame by a second connector and to the handle by a fourth connector. The first connector and the fourth connector both allow rotation in a first rotational direction and restrict rotation in a second rotational direction and the second and third connectors allow rotation in the second rotational direction and restrict rotation in the first rotational direction.
SURGICAL INSTRUMENT HAVING A THENAR EMINENCE HANDLE AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a surgical instrument comprising an instrument body with a distal end including a working portion, and a proximal end including a handle. The instrument body includes a first arm and a second arm that are pivotable relative to one another. Each of the first arm and the second arm having a handle portion of the handle and a portion of the working portion. And each of the handle portions of the first and second arms being configured to enable a user to control the instrument body and move the portions of the working portion of the first and second arms between opened and closed positions. The handle portion of the first arm having a thenar eminence contacting surface adapted to contact at least a portion of a thenar eminence of a hand of the user during use, and facilitate at least movement of the handle to move the working portion of the first and second arms from the open position to the closed position
ENDOVASCULAR DEVICE WITH A TISSUE PIERCING DISTAL PROBE AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Devices, systems and methods for treating diseases and disorders effecting the cardiovascular system of the human body are disclosed. An exemplary device in accordance with this disclosure comprises a shaft, tip member fixed to the shaft, and a probe extending beyond a distal surface of the tip member. In some useful embodiments, the tip member is relatively atraumatic and the probe is shaped so as to be more likely to produce trauma than the tip member.
