Systems and methods for treating cardiac dysfunction
A system for treating cardiac dysfunction can include an expandable device for insertion into a heart, a foot configured to contact a portion of the heart, a support frame, and a membrane coupled to the support frame. The support frame can include a plurality of radially expandable struts each having a first free end configured to extend beyond the foot and a second end coupled to the foot. The plurality of radially expandable struts can include a plurality of staggered stops, and each of the stops can be positioned on a respective one of the struts proximal to the first free end of the respective one of the struts. Method for treating cardiac dysfunction can include implanting the systems described herein into a chamber of the heart.
Non-shedding coupling method and system for reloadable hemostasis clip
A device for treating tissue includes a clip including clip arms and a coupler. Each of the clip arms extends from a proximal end to a distal end. Proximal ends of the clip arms are slidably received within a channel of a capsule. A proximal end of the capsule includes openings extending through a wall. The coupler is mounted over the proximal end of the capsule via deployment arms including engaging features extending laterally inward from an interior surface thereof to engage the openings of the capsule. The coupler includes retention arms configured to engage a corresponding portion of an applicator. When a pre-determined compressive force is applied to the coupler, the deployment arms are proximally slidable along the corresponding portion of the applicator to deflect the deployment arms out of engagement with the capsule so that the coupler is separable from the capsule.
STAPLE CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
A surgical end effector comprising a cartridge jaw is disclosed. The cartridge jaw comprises a proximal channel portion extending along a longitudinal axis, and a distal portion movable relative to the proximal channel portion between an open position and a closed position. The surgical end effector further comprising a staple cartridge removably seated in the cartridge jaw, wherein the staple cartridge is configured to slide along the longitudinal axis into the proximal channel portion of the cartridge jaw when the distal portion is in the open position.
CARTRIDGE SYSTEM
A cartridge system includes a clip unit including a clip having a plurality of arms; a case including an accommodation region in which the clip unit is accommodated; and a spacer that is accommodated in the accommodation region, wherein the spacer is configured to be separated from the clip unit when the clip unit is pulled to a proximal-end side of the cartridge system.
Sealed reload assembly for stapling device
A stapling device includes a handle assembly, an adaptor assembly extending from the handle assembly, and a reload assembly supported on a distal end portion of the adaptor assembly. The reload assembly includes a shell housing, a staple cartridge, a first seal, a staple actuator, and a knife carrier. The first seal is disposed within a cavity of the shell housing and defines a staple actuator opening and a knife carrier opening. The staple actuator includes a proximal leg extending proximally therefrom and through the staple actuator opening of the first seal to provide a fluid seal therebetween. The knife carrier includes a proximal body portion extending proximally therefrom and through the knife carrier opening of the first seal to provide a fluid seal therebetween.
END EFFECTOR INSTRUMENT
Some embodiments of the present disclosure may provide an end effector instrument. The end effector instrument may include: an end effector device, the end effector device comprising an effector portion configured to perform a specified operation, and a delivery device connected to the end effector device, the delivery device being configured to deliver the end effector device to a target region where the specified operation is to be performed. The delivery device may include an operation portion. The operation portion may be configured to drive the effector portion to perform the specified operation.
APPARATUS FOR CLOSING A SURGICAL SITE
A suturing device includes a clamshell body having a first side coupled to a second side by a hinge at a hinge end. The first side and the second side each have a cantilevered end opposite the hinge end. The clamshell body is configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. A suture retainer is positioned within the claim shell body and is configured to receive a suture. An opening is formed in a wall of the of the second side of the clamshell body.
ENDOSCOPIC SUTURING DEVICE WITH NEEDLE LOADER
A system loads an endoscopic needle into an endoscopic suturing device. The system includes a loading tool having a handle portion configured to be manipulated by a medical professional. The system also includes a needle cover coupling portion configured to removably couple with a needle cover. The needle cover is configured to couple with a delivery housing. The needle cover is further configured to secure a needle within a needle track of the delivery housing when coupled with the delivery housing. The loading tool is configured to couple the needle cover with the delivery housing. The loading tool is further configured to uncouple the needle cover from the delivery housing.
NEEDLE LOADER DEVICES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Implementations of a needle loader and related methods are provided. The needle loader comprises a housing, a movable arm disposed within the housing, and a needle mount defined on the movable arm to releasably attach to an arced suturing needle. The needle loader further includes an arced needle releasably attached to the needle mount. The needle can be held in place on the needle mount by way of an interference fit. The needle mount can be defined on a surface of the movable arm that faces an arced needle track of a suturing device when loading an arced suturing needle in the needle track of the suturing device.
STAPLING INSTRUMENT COMPRISING JAW MOUNTS
A surgical instrument comprising a first jaw, a moveable second jaw, and one or more mounting brackets that retain said second jaw to said first jaw is disclosed.
