Skin treatment apparatus
Skin treatment apparatus comprising an energy applicator structure configured to establish heating or ablation at a predetermined and controllable (i.e. selectable) depth below a surface of skin tissue with which it is in contact. The applicator structure may receive a cooling medium and microwave frequency electromagnetic energy, which provide a combined treatment effect that results in heating or ablation in a zone beneath the skin surface. The applicator may be a waveguide (e.g. waveguide horn antenna) with internal shielding configured to provide a substantially uniform heating effect. The applicator may include a thermal camera to monitor treatment.
Device for treatment of acne and control method of the same
A device for treatment of acne includes: a case having a contact surface portion to contact a skin of an acne region, the contact surface portion being provided with at least one through hole; at least one needle inserted into the skin of the acne region through the through hole with the contact surface portion arranged in contact with the skin; a driving unit arranged inside the case; a needle fixing part arranged inside the case so as to fix the at least one needle and configured to be linearly moved by the driving unit; and a needle cooling unit configured to cooling the at least one needle to transfer coldness into the skin of the acne region through the at least one needle to suppress a function of a sebaceous gland in the skin of the acne region such that proliferation of propionibacterium acnes is limited.
System and Methods Using Ultrasound for Treatment
A device for treating infection within a subject includes an ultrasound transducer for applying ultrasound to a treatment site of the subject. In some embodiments, the device transmits ultrasound in the range of greater than about 20 kHz to about 5 MHz to site of infection. For example, the device can transmit ultrasound from a location outside the body to a location inside the body, such as a sinus. The ultrasound may be suitable for removing biofilm or decreasing the viscosity of mucus. Ultrasound from the device can also have other therapeutic and diagnostic uses.
METHODS, COMPOSITIONS, AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR THERAPEUTIC SKIN TREATMENTS
Disclosed are skincare formulations, delivery systems and treatment methods containing an oligopeptide and a combination of antioxidants for topical application to the skin before and/or after dermatological procedures that affect the skin's barrier. The systems herein alleviate discomfort and enable rapid healing of irritated and damaged skin, and provide improved treatment outcomes for dermatological procedures. The disclosed topical formulations, delivery systems, and methods thereof provide enhanced penetration of the active ingredients to the skin while maintaining skin moisture and protecting sensitive skin after dermatological procedures for improvement of aesthetic skin properties. Also provided are methods for therapeutic treatment of dermatological conditions by topically applying, using, for example, a pre-moistened bio-cellulose mask, a formulation comprising (% w/w) at least 0.0001% palmitoyl sh-tripeptide-4 amide on an active basis and at least 0.1% Camellia sinensis leaf extract.
Devices and methods for ablation of the skin
Disclosed herein are apparatuses, systems, kits, and methods for treating skin, such as skin tightening or for treating diseases, disorders, and conditions that would benefit from tissue area or volume reduction, skin restoration, skin tightening, skin lifting, and/or skin repositioning and/or for generally improving skin function or appearance (e.g., the removal of unwanted skin features or irregularities such as sebaceous glands, sweat glands, hair follicles, necrosis, and fibrosis). Such apparatuses, systems, kits, and methods comprise an apparatus having a handheld main body and a detachably attachable tip comprising one or more needles.
SURGICAL AID DEVICE FOR SUTURELESS CLOSURE OF SKIN WOUND IN SUPERFICIAL FASCIA OF SKIN
The present application discloses surgical auxiliary equipment for sutureless closed skin incisions in the superficial fascia of the skin, comprising: a subcutaneous negative pressure drainage device comprising a catheter partially reaching into a preset depth of the inner cavity of the subcutaneous incision; an incision closing device arranged at the periphery of the skin incision; and a negative pressure device above skin arranged at the periphery of the skin incision and used for generating a negative pressure. Through the surgical auxiliary equipment of the present application, the sutureless closure of full-thickness tissues above the deep fascia of the skin can be achieved, so as to avoid transverse scars on the surface of the skin caused by suture oppression and cutting, and no suture knots are left in superficial fascia, so as to eliminate an important factor causing bacterial colonization and a main inducement leading to relapse of incision infection.
Devices, systems and methods for treating the skin
According to some embodiments, a method of treating a skin surface of a subject comprises heating a skin surface, abrading native skin tissue of a subject using a microdermabrasion device, wherein using the microdermabrasion device comprises moving the microdermabrasion device relative to the skin surface while simultaneously delivering at least one treatment fluid to the skin surface being treated and cooling the abraded skin surface.
APPARATUS FOR REMOVING A HOOK WITH A BARB
An apparatus for removing a hook embedded within a tissue is presented. The hook has a barb extending from a point section of the hook. The apparatus includes a clamping device configured to secure the hook. A probe is coupled to the clamping device. The probe has a tip portion configured to fit within a space between the barb and the point section of the hook to allow the hook to be removed from the tissue.
Needling device and drug applicator
A needling device may be used for needling of a subject's skin, and a drug applicator device may be used for applying a drug to a subject's skin. For example, a needling device may be applied to a subject's skin for hair growth applications, or may be used for wrinkle, scar, or tattoo removal. A drug applicator device may be used for multiple drug application purposes such as applying a hair growth compound to the skin of a subject.
Pixel array medical systems, devices and methods
A system comprising a handpiece and drive system configured to removably couple to a proximal end of a housing. A scalpet assembly is configured to removeably couple to the housing, and includes a scalpet array comprising at least one scalpet configured for rotation. The scalpet array is configured to harvest dermal plugs via fractional resection. A collection chamber is configured to collect the dermal plugs, and to house formation of an injectable filler by mincing the dermal plugs, and mixing the dermal plugs with a carrier. The injectable filler is configured for bulk fill. The collection chamber includes a loading port, and a cannular syringe is configured to mate with the loading port to receive the injectable filler, and to deliver the injectable filler for the bulk fill.
