Laser slotted grabbing device

Mechanical atherectomy and/or thrombectomy devices configured to remove obstructions (e.g., plaque material) of different consistencies and/or sizes from blood vessels. The devices may include a tractor comprising a flexible tube of material that inverts as it rolls over itself while being drawn into the open distal end of a catheter in a conveyor-like motion. The flexible tube can include features that facilitate engagement with the obstruction, enhance smooth tractor motion and/or promote movement control of the device within the blood vessel.

Apparatus, system, and method for vasculature obstruction removal

In embodiments of an obstruction removal device, system, and/or method, an expandable member is configured to be slidably coupled to a guide wire. The expandable member is configured to surround at least a portion of an obstruction captured by a stentriever as the expandable member transitions from the expanded state to the contracted state, i.e., when the guide wire is removed from a vasculature to remove the stentriever and the obstruction from the vasculature. A first locking member is located at a base of the expandable member. The first locking member is configured to engage a second locking member that is located on the guide wire, the stentriever, or an inner surface of a guide catheter, thereby coupling the expandable member to the guide wire, the stentriever, or the inner surface of the guide catheter when the expandable member is deployed within the vasculature.

CLOT RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

Catheter-delivered endovascular medical devices are described. The devices may include a pull wire attached to a distal body. The distal body may be formed of a distal body outer body comprising a basket comprised of a plurality of cells defined by a plurality of basket strips and a distal body inner body located in the interior of the distal body outer body and comprising a plurality of distal braided mesh openings formed by a plurality of woven linear strands. The distal braided mesh openings may be smaller than the cells when the device is in the relaxed state. Methods of using and making the devices are also described.

Atherectomy Devices and Methods

Rotational atherectomy devices and systems can remove or reduce stenotic lesions in blood vessels by rotating an abrasive element within the vessel. The abrasive element can be attached to a distal portion of an elongate flexible drive shaft that extends from a handle assembly. In particular embodiments, the handle assembly includes a compressed gas driven turbine member that drives rotation of the drive shaft. The turbine member can be rotatably attached to a carriage that is longitudinally translatable in relation to a housing of the handle assembly. The handle assembly can include a latch mechanism that when actuated allows the carriage to translate to a proximal-most position. While the carriage is in the proximal-most position, an open pathway is created so that a guidewire can be slidably passed through the handle assembly and a lumen of the drive shaft.

Clot retrieval system for removing occlusive clot from a blood vessel

A clot removal device for removing clot from a body vessel comprising an expandable structure and an elongate member. The elongate member can have a proximal end and a distal end, the elongate member being connected to the expandable structure at its distal end. The expandable structure can have a constrained delivery configuration, an expanded clot engaging deployed configuration, and an at least partially constrained clot pinching configuration. At least a portion of the expandable structure can be configured to engage clot in the expanded deployed configuration and to pinch clot on movement from the deployed configuration to the clot pinching configuration.

Fluid jet arterial surgical device

A catheter mounted arterial surgical tool has a body with a fluid jet prong extending from a distal end of the body along a prong axis that is parallel to and laterally offset from a body axis. A fluid passage extends through the fluid jet prong to an outlet that points laterally relative to the prong axis. A deflector anvil extends from the distal end of the body along a deflector axis that is parallel to and offset from the body axis. The deflector anvil has a face that faces toward the fluid jet prong and is impinged by a fluid jet discharged from the outlet. A pair of guide wire holes extend from the proximal to the distal end of the body parallel to the body axis for receiving guide wires to enable the body to slide along the guide wires.

The present disclosure discussed a device, method and/or system for temporarily closing and/or constricting one or more blood vessels upstream and/or downstream of the vascular intervention site to allow for aspiration of vascular debris resulting from a peripheral vascular surgical procedure so as to effectively remove such debris.

Catheters and dilators for trans-septal procedures and methods for making and using them
09775643 · 2017-10-03 · ·

Devices and methods are provided for performing a medical procedure using a trans-septal approach. The device includes a dilator including a proximal end, a distal end terminating in a distal tip, and a lumen extending between the dilator proximal and distal ends, and a needle device including a proximal end, a distal end sized for introduction into the dilator lumen and terminating in a sharpened distal tip. The needle is movable relative to the dilator to selectively expose the needle device distal tip distally from the dilator lumen and advance the dilator relative to the needle device. The dilator may have a complex tapered shape on its distal tip, e.g., including first and second tapered regions. The needle device may include an inner needle including the sharpened distal tip and an outer tube including a substantially blunt distal end that slidably receives the inner needle.
