All-in-one arterial access and closure system (ACS)
The present invention features an all-in-one system for vascular access and closure. In particular, this invention features systems and methods for forming holes in blood vessels and rapidly closing these vessel holes using an all-in-one system. For example, an arterial access and closure port system is disclosed herein to provide fail-safe percutaneous entry and exit into any artery, particularly useful for high flow and high pressure arteries such as the carotid artery. The present invention is a single system that forms and closes vascular holes and can be used for percutaneous arterial access with interventional radiology, interventional cardiology, neuro-intervention, endovascular surgery, and endovascular neurosurgery.
Rail tension extraction devices
Rail tension extraction devices and methods of extracting target(s) inside a patient's body are disclosed. The device includes a base assembly having a handle and an elongate base. The device additionally includes at least one magnet configured to engage a metallic target, and a capture element received in the base assembly and disposed adjacent to the at least one magnet. The capture element is configured to at least partially surround the metallic target engaged by the at least one magnet. The device further includes an outer tube configured to move relative to the elongate base between a locking position in which a distal end of the outer tube is adjacent the capture element and the at least one magnet to secure the metallic target therebetween, and an unlocking position in which the distal end of the outer tube is spaced from the capture element and the at least one magnet.
THROMBUS ASPIRATION SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING BLOOD LOSS
Aspiration systems and methods for controlling blood loss during thrombus removal are disclosed herein. The systems include an aspiration catheter, an aspiration tubing, a receptacle for collecting aspirated blood, a vacuum line coupled to the receptacle, and a sensor configured to measure a flow parameter associated with a liquid within an aspiration lumen. The systems further include a regulator configured to adjust a vacuum pressure within the vacuum line, and a vacuum controller operably coupled to the sensor and the regulator. The vacuum controller is configured to receive the flow parameter from the sensor, compare the flow parameter to a target range for the flow parameter, and send an automatic control signal to the regulator based on a comparison of the flow parameter to the target range. The automatic control signal causes the regulator to adjust the vacuum pressure within the vacuum line.
OCCLUSION DEVICES AND METHODS OF THEIR MANUFACTURE AND USE
Disclosed are implantable medical devices for the occlusion of a bodily lumen, cavity, vessel, or organ, as well as methods for manufacturing such occlusion devices, and methods for treating a subject using the occlusion devices. The devices generally include a wire having shape memory properties and a flexible membranous material disposed about the wire. Some embodiments include a lateral fringe on the membranous material. Some embodiments include a fluid capture cup affixed to the wire.
Percutaneous vascular surgical system and method
The present invention provides a percutaneous vascular surgical system for performing endovascular/neurovascular interventions, the system incorporating a sheath having a proximal end and a distal end and defining a main lumen extending between the proximal and distal ends, an auxiliary lumen also defined by the sheath, a reversibly inflatable balloon located about the sheath adjacent the distal end and in fluid communication with the auxiliary lumen, a syringe selectively connectable to the main lumen to create suction through the main lumen, and a vessel closure device for the closure of the arteriotomy, the surgical system and method of the invention having utility in a large number of percutaneous vascular procedures such as carotid artery stenosis or neurovascular interventions and enabling four procedures to be performed with one system, being percutaneous access, emboli removal, flow reversal and arteriotomy closure.

Characterizing behavior of anatomical structures
This disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for characterizing a behavior of an anatomical structure. Tracking data can be generated by a tracking system to represent at least a location of at least one sensor in a three-dimensional tracking coordinate system over time. A motion model is generated to characterize the behavior of the anatomical structure over a plurality of time instances. For instance, the motion model includes at least one free parameter and a temporal parameter. Each free parameter estimating geometry of the anatomical structure derived from the tracking data, and the temporal parameter indexes the free parameter over the plurality of time instances. A visualization is generated to provide a sequence of graphical images based on the motion model to characterize behavior of the anatomical structure over time.

The route selection assistance system includes: a receiving section configured to receive an input of site information specifying a target site; an image obtaining section configured to obtain image information on a living body of a target patient; a route extracting section configured to extract a plurality of routes of a living body lumen; a ranking assigning section configured to assign rankings to the plurality of routes according to ease of delivery of the medical instrument and patient scores determined according to magnitude of a burden imposed on the target patient.
Magnetic vascular anastomosis device for rapid liver transplantation
A magnetic vascular anastomosis device for rapid liver transplantation includes a magnetic ring assembly and a base member assembly. The magnetic ring assembly includes an O-shaped magnetic ring and a C-shaped magnetic ring coupled at a donor liver blood vessel and a receptor liver blood vessel respectively. The base member assembly includes an O-shaped base member and a C-shaped base member. The base member is categorized into a slotted base member, a columned base member, and a hooked base member for different surgical suture methods. The magnetic vascular anastomosis device incorporates with the magnetic attraction between magnetic rings, such that the entire liver transplantation vascular anastomosis process is fast, safe, and reliable.
