PROCESSES FOR PRODUCTION OF MICRONUTRIENTS FROM SPENT ALKALINE BATTERIES
A process for processing a leach solution of black mass of spent alkaline batteries which leach solution comprises metals dissolved to an acidic solution. The process comprises removing of one or more elements from the leach solution by a cementation operation by applying at least one non-noble metal in a metal form as a cementation agent and one or more additional cementation agents from both sulphate and nitrate groups to process the leach solution into a product of at least manganese- and zinc-containing sulphate solution which is suitable for use as micronutrients alone, in fertilizers and/or together with a plant protective agent to aid growth and health of plants. In addition, the invention also relates to a process for processing a black mass of spent alkaline batteries.

METHOD FOR PREPARING LEAD DIRECTLY FROM LEAD-CONTAINING MATERIAL BY SOLID PHASE REACTION
A method for preparing lead directly from a lead-containing material by a solid phase reaction, includes: step 1, adding the lead-containing material to be processed to the grinder, and adding a metal substance and water to the grinder, wherein an activity of the metal substance is larger than that of lead; the solid phase reaction between the lead-containing material and the metal substance is caused directly by the grinder through a mechanical force to obtain a reaction product; step 2, washing and filtering the reaction product to obtain the lead and a metal salt solution corresponding to the metal substance; step 3, performing a melt casting on the lead to obtain a crude lead, crystallizing the metal salt solution to obtain a metal salt corresponding to the metal substance.
METHOD FOR RECOVERING PRECIOUS METALS FROM THIOSULFATE LEACH SOLUTIONS
The present disclosure is directed to a process for thiosulfate leaching of a precious metal-containing material and recovering a precious metal from a pregnant leach solution using a resin extractant. The precious metal is eluted from the loaded resin optionally using an eluant comprising trithionate. Various process improvements include maintaining the thiosulfate-containing leach solution substantially free of thiols and amines, maintaining a concentration of a sulfide in the thiosulfate leach solution of no more than about 100 ppm, recycling the barren resin free of contact with a sulfide, bisulfide, and polysulfide, and/or maintaining a concentration of tetrathionates, trithionates, sulfur-oxygen anions, and/or combinations thereof within about 50% of a concentration level of the one or more of tetrathionates, trithionates, sulfur-oxygen anions, the combinations thereof in the precious metal-containing solution before contact with the recycled barren resin.
METHOD OF EXTRACTING METALS FROM POLYMETALLIC SULPHIDE ORES OR CONCENTRATES
A method of extracting metals from polymetallic sulphide ores or concentrates comprising at least Cu, Zn, Pb and Ag, comprising a first step of atmospheric leaching in sulphate medium in the presence of recycled silver for extracting Cu and Zn and a second step of atmospheric leaching in chloride medium for extracting Pb and Ag.
METHOD OF TREATING WASTEWATER
A method of treating a waste liquid: an aluminum dissolution step of dissolving aluminum in an acidic waste liquid and performing separation into a first treated water and a reduced heavy metal precipitate; a gypsum recovery step of adding a calcium compound to the first treated water at a pH of 4 or less, and performing separation into a second treated water and gypsum; a heavy metal coprecipitation step of adding a ferric compound to the second treated water and performing separation into a third treated water and a heavy metal coprecipitate; an aluminum and fluorine removal step of adding an alkali to the third treated water and performing separation into a fourth treated water and a precipitate containing aluminum and fluorine; and a neutralization step of adding an alkali to the fourth treated water and performing separation into an alkali neutralization treated water and a neutralized heavy metal hydroxide.
HYDROMETALLURGICAL METHOD FOR RECYCLING LEAD FROM SPENT LEAD-ACID BATTERY PASTE
A method for recycling lead from spent lead-acid battery paste, relating to the technical field of hydrometallurgy. In the method, firstly a reducing agent, and a lead paste are added into a zinc chloride solution for leaching in a stirring mill to cause lead in the lead paste to enter the solution, a lead cementation is performed by using zinc in the leached solution, after the lead cementation, the electrolytic zinc is produced by controlling an electrodeposition on the zinc chloride solution for a short time, the reducing agent is zinc, lead or hydrogen peroxide, a part of the electrolytic zinc is returned as the reducing agent for leaching, the step of returning the electrolytic zinc as the reducing agent can be omitted when the lead or the hydrogen peroxide is used as the reducing agent.
