METHOD FOR RECOVERING GOLD AND COPPER FROM ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
20220136080 · 2022-05-05 ·

A method for recovering gold from electronic components includes a first macro-step of dissolving gold and copper from the electronic components using an aqueous solution comprising HNO.sub.3 concentrated in a percentage varying from 28% to 38% and concentrated HCl in a percentage varying from 15% to 25%. A second macro-step includes adding KOH to the obtained solution to bring it to a pH between 0.5 and 0.9. A third macro-step includes adding to the solution obtained in the second macro-step an amount of ascorbic acid dissolved in water equal to the amount of gold hypothetically present in a sample of the first macro-step, multiplied by a factor ranging between 1.5 and 3, causing precipitation of gold, which is separated from the solution and made available in powder form in a fourth macro-step.

CIRCULAR ELECTROCHEMICAL METAL RECOVERY
20230332318 · 2023-10-19 ·

A method for recovering metals from scrap sources. The method includes obtaining scrap sources that include the metal to be recovered. The method also includes removing the metal from the scrap sources. Removing the metal from the scrap sources includes adding a reagent to the scrap sources, the reagent configured to leach the metal from the scrap sources creating a leachate. Removing the metal from the scrap sources also includes extracting the metal from the leachate and regenerating the reagent.

Cost-effective method for recovering precious metals in circuit board components

A cost-effective method for recovering precious metals in circuit board components utilizes the basic principle of oxidation-reduction reaction, adopts a mixed solution of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide and a mixed solution of hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride and sodium chlorate, and also adopts ammonia water and formaldehyde to reduce silver. According to the characteristic that the redox potential of gold and palladium ions is higher, the gold and palladium ions in the chlorination leaching solution are selectively reduced into elements by using a reducing agent which is low in price and moderate in reducibility, then the elements are separated through filtration to realize resource recycling.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PROCESS TO OPTIMIZE COPPER DISSOLUTION AND RECOVER COPPER AND GOLD FROM ELECTRONIC WASTE
20230374625 · 2023-11-23 ·

The present invention is related generally to recovering metals from waste electronics, and more particularly to a process to recover copper and gold commonly found in waste printed circuit boards using a lixiviant containing a weak acid such as citric acid or acetic acid, a particular concentration of table salt and an oxidizer. By using this lixiviant, the copper found in the printed circuit board reacts to form copper salts and gold becomes detached. Importantly this recovery method of copper and gold found in waste PCBs is fast, does not pose environmental hazards and is economically feasible.

Method for enriching precious metals from printed circuit board incineration ash from molten pool by circulating chlorination

The invention relates to the field of comprehensive recovery of valuable elements such as bromine, base metal and precious metal from incineration ash, especially relates to a method for enriching precious metals from printed circuit board incineration ash by bath smelting-chlorination circulation process. The process mainly comprises pretreatment of the printed circuit board Incineration ash and circulation-chlorination enrichment process for precious metals. The crude copper, crude zinc sulfate, bromine, lead chloride and precious metal enriched slag are obtained. Compared with the traditional process, it realizes the cycle enrichment of precious metals as well as avoids the loss of valuable metals and secondary pollution caused by tail liquid discharge.

Comprehensive recovery method of pyrolysis polymetallic product from waste integrated circuit board

The invention relates to a method for multi-metal products recovery from pyrolytic waste integrated circuit boards. The method mainly comprises the steps of smelting and blending, atomization, acidolysis and filtration, noble metal recycling, copper extraction and back extraction, nickel extraction and back extraction. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that smoke pollution and the smelting slag treatment in the process of preparing a black copper ingot through multi-metal collaborative smelting are reduced, and the problems of low anode efficiency of the black copper electrolysis process are solved. Meanwhile, the high-temperature high-oxygen atomized gas generated in the atomizing process provides a heat source and an oxygen source for subsequent acidolysis, so that the energy consumption is further reduced. The method has the advantages such as short process, remarkable energy conservation and emission reduction.
