Copper Rotation-Suspension Smelting Process and Copper Rotation-Suspension Smelting Device
Disclosed in the present application is a copper rotation-suspension smelting process comprising: mixing a flux and/or fume with dried copper-containing mineral powders to form a mixed material, which enters into a smelting furnace through a material channel; allowing a reaction gas to form a swirling flow under an action of a swirler, which enters into the smelting furnace through a Venturi channel under a guidance of a swirling gas channel; replenishing the reaction gas and/or a fuel to the smelting furnace through an auxiliary oxygen channel and an auxiliary fuel channel; subjecting the swirling flow which has been subjected to high-speed expansion through the Venturi channel and enters into the smelting furnace to a contact reaction with the mixed material; separating a melt generated by the reaction which falls into a settling tank into a residue layer and a copper-containing product layer.

GEOTHERMALLY POWERED PYROMETALLURGICAL COPPER PRODUCTION
A geothermally powered copper production system includes a geothermal system with a wellbore extending from a surface into an underground magma reservoir. A hopper receives a copper oxide ore that is crushed and provided to a leach heap to produce a copper-rich pregnant leach solution. The pregnant leach solution is provided to a settler that is heated by a heat transfer fluid heated by the geothermal system, and a product of the settler is used to prepare a copper product. A hopper receives a copper sulfide ore that is crushed and provided to a flotation tank. The flotation tank is heated by a heat transfer fluid heated by the geothermal system, and a product of the flotation tank is used to prepare a copper product.
Operation method of copper smelting furnace
An operation method of a copper-smelting furnace is characterized by including supplying an Fe metal source into a copper-smelting furnace together with a feeding material including copper concentrate and a flux, the copper concentrate including Al, the Fe metal source including an Fe metal of 40 mass % to 100 mass %.
Gasification or liquefaction of coal using a metal reactant alloy composition
This invention relates to a method and apparatus for gasifying or liquifying coal. In particular, the method comprises reacting a coal with a molten aluminum or aluminum alloy bath. The apparatus includes a reaction vessel for carrying out the reaction, as well as other equipment necessary for capturing and removing the reaction products. Further, the process can be used to cogenerate electricity using the excess heat generated by the process.
METHOD OF CONVERTING COPPER CONTAINING MATERIAL
The present invention provides a method of converting copper containing material to blister copper comprising: (a) providing copper containing material comprising copper sulfides and iron sulfides, whereby the copper containing material comprises at least 35 wt % copper of the total weight of the copper containing material; (b) reacting the copper containing material in a furnace with an oxygen containing gas, in the absence of flux, to effect oxidation of iron sulfide and copper sulfide, and controlling injection of the oxygen containing gas and the temperature so that the resulting converter slag is in a molten phase to obtain blister copper and converter slag.
TREATMENT OF ZINC LEACH RESIDUE
According to the present invention there is provided a method for treating a zinc leach residue comprising the steps of: adding the zinc leach residue and a sulfide material comprising copper and flux to a furnace having a molten bath therein; operating the furnace to produce a matte comprising copper and a slag comprising zinc; separating the matte from the slag; and recovering zinc from the slag. The method preferably comprises the additional step of recovering the copper and/or other precious metals such as silver and gold, from the matte.
