Compression unit and a radial artery compression system

The invention relates to a compression unit adapted to be arranged around a patient's forearm to provide pressure to a radial artery puncture site, wherein the compression unit comprises a unit attachment band provided with a frame, and a compression element in the shape of an inflatable bladder, the compression element is further adapted to be arranged within said frame, such that when the compression unit is arranged around a patient's forearm, the compression element provides pressure to the puncture wound when the compression element is inflated. The invention also relates to a radial artery compression system.

Femoral compression device

A femoral compression device (11) for compressing a femoral artery (12) of a patient, having a base plate (13) provided with two opposing extensions, each of the two opposing extensions having a member for affixing a belt (14), which is adapted to be arranged around a patient's body, an inflatable air cushion (15), provided with a back plate (19), for compressive bearing against a puncture site, and a pump (16) connected to the inflatable air cushion for inflation of the air cushion. The femoral compression device further comprises a spacer (18) having a height and being adapted to be mounted between the inflatable air cushion and the base plate.

A surgical drape includes a center section having an operating window and extending longitudinally from a head end to a foot end, and a side section positioned on each longitudinal side of the center section. The side sections may be at least partially transparent. An elastic band extends through outermost ends of the side sections and across the foot end of the center section, and at least one surgical fluid collection pocket is disposed adjacent the operating window. Additional features of the drape may include a warming bladder and/or an extension section that is expandable to cover a machine adjacent the drape, such as an x-ray fluoroscope machine.

Disclosed is a surgical drape configured to selectively allow or block a patient's view of the surgical field, as is desired in Caesarean section operations. Generally, the drape includes a main sheet, a substantially transparent sheet attached to the main sheet proximal the patient's head, and a substantially opaque screen attached to the patient-facing side of the substantially transparent sheet. This substantially opaque screen occludes the patient's visual access through the substantially transparent sheet but may be at least partially removed to permit the patient viewing access through the substantially transparent sheet towards the area of the surgery, without compromising the sterility of the surgical field. Desirably, the drape is provided with an adhesive strip disposed on the sheet or screen to permit reconnection to thereby again occlude the patient's view through the sheet.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADJUSTABLE AND SIMULTANEOUS MULTIPLE VESSEL COMPRESSION

There is described a device for applying an adjustable and simultaneous compression on vessel access points. The device comprises a frame comprising a body with at least two cavities through the body to be placed about surfaces of a patient corresponding to the at least two cavities. At least two compression members are movably fitted in the cavities, wherein a portion of the frame defines a space into which a portion of the compression member is fitted and around which it hinges. A side of the compression members opposite a portion around which it hinges comprises a locking mechanism which releasably engages with the frame at an interface between said side and the frame to lock each one of the at least two compression members in a given hinge position for applying the pressure onto the vessel access point depending on the hinge position.

The embryo transfer cannula stabilizer is a device attached to a vaginal speculum, which allows the sliding, placement, and secure fixing of a cannula to perform an embryo transfer. The embryo transfer cannula stabilizer prevents fine movement of the user's hand to reduce tremor at the intracervical level and avoid injury to the cervical canal, rupture of blood vessels, and the production of detritus.

BANDAGE SYSTEM FOR WOUND VISUALIZATION, MICROCURRENT THERAPY AND TOPICAL AND TRANSDERMAL DRUG DELIVERY
20220192888 · 2022-06-23 ·

The present invention provides a method and device for visualizing and treating an injury, wound or skin, using a visual tourniquet and skin bandage system made of transparent materials. The inventive bandage system is capable of applying pressure while absorbing bodily fluids away from the wound or skin and providing support for the application of one or more medicaments or a combination of treatment gas and/or medicine. The inventive bandage system enables the practitioner to visually inspect and measure the size of the wound over time without removing or touching the bandage or tourniquet thereby reducing pain and contamination of the wound bed. One embodiment of the inventive bandage system continuously controls the wound bed temperature thereby reducing pain and inhibiting bacterial growth. Other embodiments of the inventive bandage system are used as a visual tourniquet to apply a combination of pressures to a wound or skin injury.
