Embodiments of the present disclosure provides an aluminum alloy-plated steel sheet having high surface quality and weldability, a hot-formed member, and methods for manufacturing the aluminum alloy-plated steel sheet and the hot-formed member. The aluminum alloy-plated steel sheet includes: a base steel sheet; and an aluminum alloy plating layer formed on the base steel sheet, wherein the aluminum alloy plating layer includes, by weight %, Zn: 21% to 35%, Si: 1% to 6.9%, Fe: 2% to 12%, and the balance of Al and inevitable impurities.
Resistance spot welding method for joining zinc coated steel sheets
A method for resistance spot welding comprising the following successive steps: —providing at least two steel sheets with thickness (th) comprised between 0.5 and 3 mm, at least one of the sheets being a zinc or zinc-alloy coated steel sheet (A) with a tensile strength (TS) higher than 800 MPa and a total elongation (TEL) such as (TS)×(TEL)>14000 MPa %, wherein the composition of the steel substrate of (A) contains, in weight: 0.05%≤C≤0.4%, 0.3%≤Mn≤8%, 0.010%≤Al≤3%, 0.010%≤Si≤2.09%, with 0.5%≤(Si+Al)≤3.5%, 0.001%≤Cr≤1.0%, 0.001%≤Mo≤0.5% and optionally: 0.005%≤Nb≤0.1%, 0.005%≤V≤0.2%, 0.005%≤Ti≤0.1%, 0.0003%≤B≤0.005%, 0.001%≤Ni≤1.0%, the remainder being Fe and unavoidable impurities, —performing resistance spot welding of the at least two steel sheets for producing a weld with an indentation depth (IDepth) on the surface of said steel sheet (A) such as: 100 μm≤(IDepth)≤18.68 (Zn.sub.sol)−55.1, wherein (IDepth) is in micrometers and wherein Zn.sub.sol is the solubility of Zn in the steel of sheet (A) at 750° C., in weight %.

METAL-COATED STEEL STRIP
An Al—Zn—Si—Mg alloy coated strip that has Mg.sub.2Si particles in the coating microstructure is disclosed. The distribution of Mg.sub.2Si particles is such that the surface of the coating has only a small proportion of Mg.sub.2Si particles or is at least substantially free of any Mg.sub.2Si particles.
HIGH STRENGTH STEEL SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided is a high strength steel sheet that has a predetermined chemical composition and is manufactured under optimum conditions, the high strength steel sheet having a steel microstructure including, by area, ferrite: 30% or more and 80% or less, tempered martensite: 3.0% or more and 35% or less, and retained austenite: 8% or more, wherein the quotient of the area fraction of grains of the retained austenite, the grains having an aspect ratio of 2.0 or more and a minor axis length of 1 μm or less, divided by the total area fraction of the retained austenite is 0.3 or more, wherein the quotient of the average Mn content (mass %) in the retained austenite divided by the average Mn content (mass %) in the ferrite is 1.5 or more.

A plated steel sheet having excellent post-coating corrosion resistance includes: a steel; and a plating layer that is provided on a surface of the steel, in which the plating layer includes, by mass %, Al: 5.00% to 35.00%, Mg: 2.50% to 13.00%, Fe: 5.00% to 35.00%, Si: 0% to 2.00%, Ca: 0% to 2.00%, and a remainder consisting of Zn and impurities, and in a cross section of the plating layer, the area fraction of a Fe.sub.2Al.sub.5 phase is 5.0% to 60.0%, the area fraction of an eutectic structure of Zn and MgZn.sub.2 is 10.0% to 80.0%, the area fraction of a massive MgZn.sub.2 phase is 5.0% to 40.0%, and the area fraction of a remainder is 10.0% or less.
COATED STEEL PRODUCT
A hot-dip coated steel product including: a steel product; and a coating layer including a Zn—Al—Mg alloy layer disposed on a surface of the steel product, in which the Zn—Al—Mg alloy layer includes a Zn phase, an Al phase, and a MgZn.sub.2 phase, and contains a Mg—Sn intermetallic compound phase in the Zn phase, and the coating layer has a chemical composition satisfying a predetermined average composition, a total area proportion of the Al phase and the MgZn.sub.2 phase is 70% or more, an area proportion of the Zn phase is 30% or less, an average value of cumulative circumferential lengths of the Al phase is less than 88 mm/mm.sup.2, and a total frequency in number of the Al phase having a circumferential length of 50 μm or more is less than 100.

The present invention provides an iron-aluminum-based plated steel sheet, and a manufacturing method therefor, the iron-aluminum-based plated steel sheet comprising a base steel sheet and a plated layer formed on the surface of the base steel sheet, wherein the alloy plated layer comprises: a diffusion layer comprising an Fe—Al-based intermetallic compound having a cubic structure; and an alloyed layer formed on the diffusion layer and composed of an alloy phase differing from that of the cubic structure, the thickness of the diffusion layer is 3-20 μm, and the thickness of the diffusion layer is greater than 50% of the total thickness of the plated layer.
