THERMALLY SPRAYED RESISTIVE HEATERS AND USES THEREOF
A heater is provided having at least one thermally sprayed resistive heating layer, the resistive heating layer comprising a first metallic component that is electrically conductive and capable of reacting with a gas to form one or more carbide, oxide, nitride, and boride derivative; one or more oxide, nitride, carbide, and boride derivative of the first metallic component that is electrically insulating; and a third component capable of stabilizing the resistivity of the resistive heating layer. In some embodiments, the third component is capable of pinning the grain boundaries of the first metallic component deposited in the resistive heating layer and/or altering the structure of aluminum oxide grains deposited in the resistive heating layer.

A heater is provided having at least one thermally sprayed resistive heating layer, the resistive heating layer comprising a first metallic component that is electrically conductive and capable of reacting with a gas to form one or more carbide, oxide, nitride, and boride derivative; one or more oxide, nitride, carbide, and boride derivative of the first metallic component that is electrically insulating; and a third component capable of stabilizing the resistivity of the resistive heating layer. In some embodiments, the third component is capable of pinning the grain boundaries of the first metallic component deposited in the resistive heating layer and/or altering the structure of aluminum oxide grains deposited in the resistive heating layer.

A method for producing a thermal spray powder includes: a preparing step of preparing a powder mixture containing a first particle made from zirconia-based ceramic containing a first additive agent and a second particle made from zirconia-based ceramic containing a second additive agent, the powder mixture having a 10% cumulative particle diameter of more than 0 μm and not more than 10 μm; and a secondary-particle producing step of producing a plurality of secondary particles each of which includes the first particle and the second particle sintered with each other.

A sprayed coating for a sliding member of the present invention includes a ferrous alloy containing iron (Fe) as a major ingredient.
The sprayed coating for the sliding member containing 10 mass % or more and 20 mass % or less of chromium (Cr), and 0.1 mass % or more and 0.5 mass % or less of silicon (Si) and having the content rate of an oxide in the sprayed coating of 1 area % or less has corrosion resistance with improved seizure resistance.

A method for producing the turbine blade includes: providing a main body of a turbine blade airfoil on a construction platform of a device for performing an additive method, the main body having a first material; applying a pulverous second material, which is different from the first material, in a certain amount; fusing the pulverous material by applying a high-energy beam; lowering the construction platform, repeating applying and fusing the pulverous material and of lowering the construction platform as many times as necessary to complete the tip of the blade airfoil.
