Suture sleeve patch and methods of delivery within an existing arthroscopic workflow

Suture delivered patches adapted for interposition, augmentation or repair devices for use in tendon and ligament repair, including rotator cuff repair, have been developed as well as methods for their delivery using suture guided arthroscopic methods. The repair patches may be provided from suitable biocompatible materials. The patches may be delivered using anchored sutures already in use during a surgical repair including, open, minimally invasive, endoscopic, and arthroscopic repair procedures. Additionally, fixation of the suture delivered repair patch is secured along with the normal suture securing workflow of the one or more sutures used to deliver the patch.

Circular suture constructs and methods for use

A suture construct includes, inter alia, a sheath and a flexible strand threaded through the sheath to configure the sheath in a circular or oblong shape. The suture construct may be utilized in various tissue reconstruction procedures. The suture construct can be connected to a second suture construct to form a surgical assembly.

Medical device for applying force on biological tissue, or the like

A medical device for at least partially covering and applying force on tissue includes a body having a spanning structure and struts respectively connected to lateral portions of the spanning structure. Inner ends of the struts extend into an area over which the medial portion of the spanning structure extends. The medical device is reconfigurable between extended and retracted configurations. The inner ends of the struts are closer to one another in the retracted configuration than in the extended configuration. The inner ends of the struts are closer to the medial portion of the spanning structure in the retracted configuration than in the extended configuration. Each strut includes an engagement zone configured to engage and apply force on the tissue, at least while the medical device is in the retracted configuration. A web can be connected to the struts and span between the inner ends of the struts.

GASTROINTESTINAL TISSUE APPROXIMATION CLIP (GI TAC) SYSTEM

A gastrointestinal tissue approximation clip (“GI TAC”) system for approximating tissue defects, the GI TAC system including an applicator that is sized to travel through an instrument channel of an endoscope; a plurality of tissue approximation clips that are transported to a plurality of locations about a tissue defect by the applicator; a suture coupled to at least one of the tissue approximation clips; and a clip approximation means for approximating the tissue approximation clips. The clip approximation means and the tissue approximation clips are sized respectively to travel through the instrument channel, and the tissue approximation clips are adapted to be detachably coupled to the applicator.

Split sternum prosthesis

The present disclosure relates to an implantable split sternum prosthesis to facilitate closure of the chest cavity and relieve pain after sternotomy operations. The split sternum prosthesis which after a surgical procedure is placed along the inline incision made in the sternum bone will also facilitate access to the chest cavity for patients in need of repeated surgical operations inside the chest cavity. The split sternum prosthesis comprises two elongated bone attachment plates, a first bone attachment plate and a second bone attachment plate. The first and he second bone attachment plates each have a bone attachment surface and a coupling surface. The first and second bone attachment plates are adapted be coupled together in a very close fit along their coupling surfaces.

PAPILLARY MUSCLE APPROXIMATION AND VENTRICULAR RESTORATION

The present invention provides ventricular restoration devices and snare devices as part of a papillary muscle approximation and ventricular restoration (PAP-VR) system and methods for using the same to repair mitral regurgitation (MR). The ventricular restoration devices include two collapsible anchors positioned at opposing ends of a collapsible stent, wherein the devices are threaded through a subject's anatomy such that the anchors rest outside of tissue and are held taut by the stent inbetween. The snare devices comprise an out-of-plane curved construction to navigate magnetized trapping lines around difficult to reach anatomy to lasso and tighten anatomical structures.

Access Site Management System for Percutaneous Vascular Access

The disclosure provides a dynamic vascular access and closure device for radial cinching of an access site. The device includes a tensioning tube, a resilient member disposed within the tensioning tube, and a plurality of sutures extending axially between a distal end of the tensioning tube and a proximal end of the tensioning tube. A proximal end of each of the plurality of sutures can be configured to attach to the resilient member such that movement of that suture causes compression or extension of the resilient member within the tensioning tube to provide cinching to the sutures.

Surgical constructs with shuttling loops and methods of tissue fixation

Knotless surgical constructs and methods of tissue repairs. A surgical construct can offer both repair and shuttling capabilities to allow for a single pass to load multiple sutures at once. A surgical construct can pass or shuttle multiple repair sutures while making a single pass through or around soft tissue.

Continuous loop suture assembly and related surgical techniques
11350926 · 2022-06-07 ·

A repair suture consists of a strand of suture material formed into a continuous loop. One end of the loop may be thicker than the other. The repair suture may be part of a suture assembly including the repair suture, a linking suture having a looped end and a straight end, and a suture anchor. The suture anchor may have a suture bridge that divides the cross-sectional area of the interior of the anchor into two unequal sections. The suture assembly may be used to create luggage tag configurations for repairing tissue or for attaching tissue to bone. In a double-row method with medial row compression, loose suture ends from the medial row are inserted into a lateral row anchor having a proximal anchor body, a distal tip, and internal locking elements for locking the distal tip to the proximal anchor body.
