METHOD OF PRODUCING HOT-DIP ZN ALLOY-PLATED STEEL SHEET
A method of producing a hot-dip Zn alloy-plated steel sheet includes: dipping a base steel sheet in a hot-dip Zn alloy plating bath to form a hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer on a surface of the base steel sheet; and contacting an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor with a surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer to cool the base steel sheet and the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer having a raised temperature through formation of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer. A temperature of the surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer when the aqueous solution is to be contacted with the surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer is equal to or more than 100° C. and equal to or less than a solidifying point of the plating layer. The aqueous solution containing the water-soluble corrosion inhibitor satisfies the Equation [{(Z.sub.0−Z.sub.1)/Z.sub.0}100≧201.
MATERIAL FOR GASKET
A material for gaskets is disclosed, wherein a metal surface coating layer, a primer layer and a rubber layer are formed, or a metal surface coating layer and a rubber layer are formed on at least a part of one side or both sides of a substrate formed of a metal plate sequentially from the metal plate side, and the metal surface coating layer comprises (A) one or more carbonates selected from the group consisting of Mg carbonate, Co carbonate, Zr carbonate, Mn carbonate, Ni carbonate, and Cu carbonate and (B) one or more selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, zirconia, and titania.
Corrosion and mar resistance of steel components
A method of improving corrosion and mar resistance of steel components by creating a black magnetite finish, with a medium temperature process, prior to application of a phosphate layer coating.
Corrosion Prevention Method and Corrosion Prevention Device
To repair reinforced concrete easily and at low cost. An anticorrosion method includes infiltrating an anticorrosion solution held inside concrete of reinforced concrete into a vicinity of a reinforcing bar through the concrete to passivate the reinforcing bar, detecting that the anticorrosion solution is infiltrated to a surface of the concrete, and discharging, after detecting the anticorrosion solution, the anticorrosion solution to outside of the concrete to form an anticorrosive coating on a surface of the reinforcing bar.
Coating carbon steel tubing with iron sulfide
Treating carbon steel tubing includes contacting the carbon steel tubing with a first treatment solution including a salt; corroding the carbon steel tubing with the salt to yield a corroded surface on the carbon steel tubing; contacting the corroded surface on the carbon steel tubing with a second treatment solution comprising sulfide ions; and forming an iron sulfide layer on the corroded surface of the carbon steel tubing by chemically bonding the sulfide ions in the second treatment solution with iron in the carbon steel tubing. In some cases, the first treatment solution also includes sulfide ions, and the iron sulfide layer is formed by contacting the carbon steel tubing with the first treatment solution.

ROLLING DIE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a rolling die that increases the durability of a nitrided molded surface. The rolling die (1) includes a tool base material that is made of steel and has a molded surface (2) on which a plurality of working teeth (10) is formed. The tool base material includes a nitride layer (15) in which nitrogen is diffused. The nitride layer (15) is disposed to reach a position that is 20 to 70 μm in depth from the molded surface (2). The molded surface (2) has a surface hardness of at least 1100 HV. The rate of depth change from the depth (D1) of the nitride layer (15) at crests (11) of the working teeth (10) to the depth (D2) of the nitride layer (15) at roots (13) of the working teeth (10) is not higher than 30%.
Composition for a stainless coating, stainless member including the stainless coating, and method of manufacturing same
A composition for a stainless coating according to the present disclosure includes a sodium silicate, a lithium silicate, a polysiloxane, ethanol, and a residual solvent. The composition may be uniformly and smoothly coated on a curved, stainless steel surface, cleaning may be easier, and yellowing may be reduced or prevented.
Corrosion inhibitor and water conditioning agent
A composition with corrosion inhibiting properties is provided that includes a first phosphate salt of at least one of trimetaphosphate, hexametaphosphate, or tripolyphosphate. A second phosphate salt of at least one of a disodium phosphate and tetrasodium pyrophosphate is also present with the first phosphate salt present in a weight ratio relative to the second phosphate salt of from 1-4:1. Upon dissolution from 0.1 to 5 total weight percent in a solvent a corrosion inhibiting solution results that is well suited for usage as a water conditioner in cooling systems. A process of protecting an iron containing metal from corrosion is also provided that includes exposing the metal to the solution. The corrosion of the metal over time is monitored to assure the protection of the metal.
