Disclosed herein is an aqueous composition having a pH value at 55° C. in the range from 5 to 9, containing at least one different amino organophosphonic acid derivatives of formula (I)

METHOD FOR TREATING SURFACES OF ALUMINUM CONTAINING SUBSTRATES
Described herein is a method for treatment of at least one surface of a substrate at least partially made of aluminum and/or an aluminum alloy, including at least a step of contacting the surface with an acidic aqueous composition (A) including one or more metal compounds (M) selected from the group of titanium compounds, zirconium compounds, and hafnium compounds and one or more linear polymers (P) containing (m1) hydroxyethyl- and/or hydroxypropyl-(meth)acrylate, (m2) vinylphosphonic acid, and (m3) (meth)acrylic acid in form of their polymerized monomeric units, the one or more linear polymers (P) being included in the acidic aqueous composition (A) in an amount of 50 to 5000 ppm. Also described herein is an acidic aqueous composition (A), a master batch to produce the acidic aqueous composition (A), a method of using the acidic aqueous composition (A) for treating surfaces, and substrates comprising the treated surfaces.
NOVEL CORROSION INHIBITOR FOR VARIOUS ACIDS
A liquid corrosion inhibitor composition for use with acid compositions for use in industrial activities, said corrosion inhibitor composition comprising: a thiourea derivative; a first type of amphoteric surfactant is selected from the group consisting of: a sultaine surfactant; a betaine surfactant; and combinations thereof; a second type of amphoteric surfactant; and a solvent.
CORROSION CONTROL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MITIGATING CORROSION
Corrosion inhibitor compositions are provided that can include a mixture of one or more alkaline earth metals, one or more organic phosphates, one or more inorganic phosphates, optionally a dispersant, and hydroxyphosphono acetic acid and/or salts thereof and/or derivatives of hydroxyphosphono acetic acid and/or salts thereof. Methods of mitigating or inhibiting corrosion of metal surfaces are also disclosed. The methods can include the steps of adding a corrosion inhibitor composition as described in the present disclosure to a medium in contact with the metal surface and optionally to the metal surface before it is contacted by the medium.

The contact surface is formed from a metal comprising a metal M, where M is selected from the group consisting of nickel (Ni), palladium (Pd), and platinum (Pt). A metal-ligand complex comprising phosphorus (P) is on the contact surface. The method of preparing a contact surface of the component may include treating the contact surface with a metal-ligand complex precursor comprising a phosphorus (P) ligand.

Methods and compositions for inhibiting corrosion of a corrodible metal surface that contact a nitrogen-containing solution. The method comprises adding a chemical treatment composition to the nitrogen-containing solution that includes an organic filmer and a passivator. The organic filmer may be a hydroxycarboxylic acid. The chemical treatment composition may further include a surface-active compound.

The method comprises adding a chemical treatment composition to the nitrogen-containing solution that includes an organic filmer and a passivator. The organic filmer may be a hydroxycarboxylic acid. The chemical treatment composition may further include a surface-active compound.
Continuous coil pretreatment process
Described herein is a continuous coil pretreatment process used to treat the surface of an aluminum alloy sheet or coil for subsequent deposition of an acidic organophosphorus compound. The process can include applying a cleaner to a surface of an aluminum sheet or a coil; etching the surface of the aluminum sheet or the coil with an acidic solution; rinsing the surface of the aluminum sheet or the coil with deionized water; applying to the surface of the aluminum sheet or the coil a solution of an acidic organophosphorus compound; rinsing the surface of the aluminum sheet or the coil with deionized water; and drying the surface of the aluminum sheet or the coil.
