20230112112 · 2023-04-13 ·

Systems, devices, and methods are provided for securing soft tissue to bone, for securing one or more objects using a surgical filament, and for drawing two or more tissues together so they can be secured in a desired location. One exemplary embodiment of a surgical repair construct that is configured to atraumatically pass through soft tissue to secure tissue in a knotless manner includes a snare linkage, a collapsible loop, and a flexible suture pin. The snare linkage can include a collapsible snare for receiving the collapsible loop, and in use the snare can be collapsed around the collapsible loop and advanced distally towards the bone until the snare is proximate to the tissue, while the collapsible loop can be collapsed distally towards the bone to bring the tissue into proximity with the bone. Other exemplary systems, devices, and methods for use with soft tissue repair are also provided.

Laparoscopic Surgeon's Knot Maker

Tying knots in a suture laparoscopically with straight graspers is difficult, time consuming, inefficient, and ineffective. Many instruments have been invented for this purpose, but the common problem that leads to failure is that the first throw in the tie tends to unravel itself before the second throw can be carried out. The current invention consisting of 3 mini-graspers within the same shaft, is capable of quickly producing two loops in the first throw, which is self-locking, leading to the formation of a Surgeon's Knot.

Knotless suture anchor

A suture anchor comprises a tubular body having an axial bore therethrough and having one or more purchase enhancements on an exterior surface of the body adapted to enhance purchase of the body within a bone hole, such as threads. A lateral port passes through the body from the bore to the exterior surface and is formed of a slot entering the body from its proximal end. A length of suture for attaching soft tissue to bone passes down along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements, over a distal end of the body, up into the bore through and then back out of the bore and up along the exterior surface over the one or more purchase enhancements.

ENDOSCOPIC SUTURE CINCH

A method cinches a suture. The method provides a cinch having a suture capturing portion configured to capture a suture, a cinch lock coupled with the suture capturing portion, and a cinch anchor having a lumen. The suture capturing portion is extended out of the lumen to capture the suture. The suture is captured by the suture capturing portion. The suture capturing portion is retracted into the lumen of the cinch anchor. The suture is cinched between the cinch lock and the cinch anchor.

ARTHROSCOPIC DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE

Arthroscopic devices adapted for minimally invasive procedures, such as bone augmentations and reconstructive surgery, are provided. The arthroscopic devices include a drill guide adapted for efficiently and accurately positioning pilot holes and surgical instrumentation relative to the bone; a surgical cable, such as an elastomeric surgical cable, adapted for applying a compressive force across the bone fragments after the surgical repair to promote healing; and a tensioner and crimping device for applying tension to the surgical cable and securing the surgical cable in place. A surgical procedure is also disclosed where a cerclage is applied arthroscopically by passing a member such as an elastomeric ribbon through the glenoid and a bone graft, where the member is tensioned and fixed into place to hold the bone graft in firm contact with the glenoid to facilitate healing.

TENDON REPAIR SYSTEM

A system for coupling a tendon to a bone may include a tendon coupling device engageable with a tendon, a fastener to secure the tendon coupling device to the tendon, a bone coupling device, and a flexible element. The flexible element may include a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the flexible element may be couplable with the fastener to securably attach the flexible element to the tendon. The bone coupling device may include a bone-facing surface engageable with a surface of the bone proximate a bone tunnel formed through the bone, and a hole formed through the bone coupling device. The second portion of the flexible element may be receivable through the bone tunnel and the hole formed through the bone coupling device to engage an opposing surface of the bone coupling device and securably couple the tendon to the bone.

Soft tissue repair device and associated methods

A soft tissue repair device. The device includes an inserter having a distal portion, a first anchor carried externally onto the distal portion, a second anchor carried externally onto the distal portion, and a flexible strand coupling the first and second anchors and forming an adjustable knotless loop.

Systems and methods for tissue suspension and compression

Suture passer systems for tissue suspension and tissue compression are described. The system can include a shaft and a needle, wherein the needle is freely rotatable with respect to the shaft. The suture may include an overmolded segment. Methods of placing one or more implants, sutures, fastener, bone anchors and other devices are also described. The methods include moving tissue, including the superior pharyngeal constrictor muscle, palatopharyngeal arch, and palatoglossal arch. The methods include hyoid bone suspension.
