A treatment device is provided for treating a metal object, wherein the treatment comprises at least pickling and phosphating of the object, and, by means of the phosphating, a protective layer is produced on a surface of the object. The treatment device comprises a treatment container for holding the object to be treated and for holding a flowable treatment substance, and a pumping apparatus for circulating at least a portion of the treatment substance. The treatment substance is flowable around at least part of the object to be treated, and is a phosphorus- or phosphate-containing solution. The solution consists of water and a reaction substance, and the reaction substance consists of phosphorus or of a phosphate and at least one additional substance that improves treatment effect. The fraction of the phosphorus or the phosphate in the reaction substance is more than 98 vol % and especially preferably more than 99 vol %.

A treatment device is provided for single-stage treatment of a metal object, wherein the treatment comprises at least pickling and phosphating of the object. The treatment device comprises a treatment container for holding the object to be treated and for holding a flowable treatment substance, and a pumping apparatus for circulating at least a portion of the treatment substance. The treatment substance is flowable around at least part of the object to be treated, and the treatment substance is a phosphorus- or phosphate-containing solution. The phosphorus- or phosphate-containing solution consists of water and a reaction substance, and the reaction substance consists of phosphorus or of a phosphate and at least one additional substance that improves the treatment effect. The fraction of the phosphorous or the phosphate in the reaction substance is between 75 vol % to 94 vol %, and the reaction substance has no fractions of hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.

A composition for application to a metal substrate comprises a metal cation, an azole compound and an aqueous carrier. A composition for coating a substrate comprises a carrier comprising an epoxy carrier, a urethane carrier, or a fluorinated urethane carrier, and an azole compound. A coated substrate includes the composition for application to a metal substrate and a coating on the composition. A method of fabricating a coated substrate comprises applying the composition to a substrate, allowing the composition to dry to form a conversion coating, and applying a coating on the conversion coating.
CLEANING SOLUTION AND METHODS OF CLEANING A TURBINE ENGINE
A cleaning solution for a turbine engine includes water within a range between about 68.65 percent and about 99.63 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; a first organic acidic component within a range between about 0.1 percent and about 15 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; wherein the organic acid comprises citric acid; a second organic acidic component within a range between about 0.1 percent and about 15 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; wherein the organic acid comprises glycolic acid; isoropylamine sulphonate within a range between about 0.07 percent and 0.14 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; alcohol ethoxylate within a range between about 0.035 percent and 0.07 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; triethanol amine within a range between about 0.035 percent and 0.07 percent by volume of the cleaning solution; sodium lauriminodipropionate within a range between about 0.03 percent and 1.0 percent by volume of the cleaning solution. The cleaning solution has a pH value in the range between about 2.5 and about 7.0.

An inhibition corrosion package for use with an acidic composition, where the package comprises a terpene component; a propargyl alcohol or derivative thereof, at least one amphoteric surfactant; and a solvent. Also disclosed are acidic compositions combining the corrosion inhibition package according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention for use in various industrial operations including but not limited to oil and gas operations. Also disclosed are methods of use of such compositions.

A method of cleaning a turbine engine includes directing a cleaning solution towards a component of the turbine engine having a layer of foreign material thereon, the cleaning solution including water, a first organic acidic component, a second organic acidic component, isopropylamine sulphonate, alcohol ethoxylate, triethanol amine, and sodium lauriminodipropionate. The cleaning solution has a pH between 2.5 and 7.0.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS THAT PROMOTE CHARGE COMPLEXING COPPER PROTECTION DURING LOW PKA DRIVEN POLYMER STRIPPING
The present invention is a charge complexing chemical composition that protects metal during polymer removal. The polymer coatings include crosslinked systems by chemical-amplification and photoacid generated (PAG) means as in epoxies. The system includes a solvent, a charge complexing additive, and an acid that creates a protective complex for sensitive metals during the dissolving and rinsing practice needed for processing microelectronic parts. The composition can be utilized with a method for removing partial and fully cured crosslinked coatings that originate from chemical amplification or PAG-epoxy photoimageable coatings.
