Eco-friendly cleaning agent for metal member and method of preparing the same

Disclosed is a cleaning agent for a metal member that may include an amount of about 15 wt % to 30 wt % of an organic acid derived from a monosaccharide, or a salt thereof, an amount of about 0.8 wt % to 1.2 wt % of a chelating agent, an amount of about 0.2 wt % to 0.4 wt % of a surfactant and an amount of about 75 wt % to 85 wt % of a solvent, based on the total weight of the cleaning agent. The acid cleaning agent may be prepared using, as a main material, an organic acid mixture including potassium glucarate, thus exhibiting superior acid cleaning capability and minimizing the generation of offensive odors. The cleaning agent of the present invention may be eco-friendly because the working environment using the same is made comfortable.

A FORMULATION FOR CORROSION INHIBITION

The present disclosure relates to a corrosion inhibitor formulation comprising: a) at least one quaternary ammonium salt; b) at least one fatty acid methyl ester; c) at least one viscosity reducing agent; and d) at least one solubilizing agent, wherein the at least one quaternary ammonium salt to the at least one fatty acid methyl ester weight ratio is in the range of 1:0.2-1:5.0. The instant disclosure further relates to the process of preparation of the corrosion inhibitor formulation.

An aqueous synthetic acid composition is disclosed for use in oil industry activities, the composition comprising: lysine and hydrogen chloride in a molar ratio ranging from 1:3 to 1:12.5, preferably from more than 1:5 to 1:8.5. The composition can also further comprise a metal iodide or iodate; an alcohol or derivative thereof. The composition demonstrates advantageous properties over known synthetic acids at temperatures above 90° C. The composition is useful in various oil and gas industry operations. Preferred embodiments of the composition provide substantial advantages in matrix acidizing by increasing the effectiveness of wormholing as compared to conventional mineral acids such as HC1.

The pickling composition comprises a) a water-soluble organic or inorganic nitro compound, wherein a central N atom has an oxidation state of 3+; b) a polarizing agent for the nitro compound, wherein the polarizing agent comprises at least one of a phosphonate and a carboxylate; c) a pH buffer, and d) at least one metal complexing agent. The composition is preferably maintained at a pH between about 4.5 and about 7.5. The near neutral pH pickle composition can be used on various metallic surfaces as well as composite surfaces comprising metallic and non-metallic portions.

A non-hazardous cleaning solution/process has been developed to remove oxide residues from the surface of blackened needles. Low concentrations of citric acid solution are mixed with blackened needles and treated in an ultrasonic tank for short period of time (<5 minutes). The oxide residues are substantially removed. Quite surprisingly and unexpectedly, the penetration performance of the cleaned needles are greatly improved by up to 50% over other tested cleaning solutions.

NOVEL INHIBITIED HYDROFLUORIC ACID COMPOSITION

An inhibited hydrofluoric acid aqueous composition, said composition comprising: hydrofluoric acid in solution; and a weak base selected from the group consisting of: lysine, arginine, histidine, glutamine, asparagine, tryptophan, and tyrosine; wherein said weak base and hydrofluoric acid are present in a molar ratio of at least 1:1. Also disclosed is a mud acid using this inhibited acid composition.
