ECO-FRIENDLY CLEANING AGENT FOR METAL MEMBER AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
Disclosed is a cleaning agent for a metal member that may include an amount of about 15 wt % to 30 wt % of an organic acid derived from a monosaccharide, or a salt thereof, an amount of about 0.8 wt % to 1.2 wt % of a chelating agent, an amount of about 0.2 wt % to 0.4 wt % of a surfactant and an amount of about 75 wt % to 85 wt % of a solvent, based on the total weight of the cleaning agent. The acid cleaning agent may be prepared using, as a main material, an organic acid mixture including potassium glucarate, thus exhibiting superior acid cleaning capability and minimizing the generation of offensive odors. The cleaning agent of the present invention may be eco-friendly because the working environment using the same is made comfortable.
METHOD FOR REMOVING ROUGING FROM STAINLESS STEEL
The present invention is in the field of chemical cleaning and surface treatments for a stainless steel substrate. In particular, the present invention provides a method, kit and use of specific solutions for removing and preferably preventing the formation of rouging (e.g. class I, II and/or III) on a stainless steel substrate, which may be used as processing station or production unit.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COOLING A STEEL STRIP TRAVELLING IN A CONTINUOUS LINE COOLING SECTION
Process and device for cooling a steel strip (1) running through the cooling section (2) of a continuous line, whereby cooling is achieved by projecting the strip with an aqueous solution of formic acid with a concentration of formic acid between 0.1% and 6%, and preferably between 0.5% and 2%.
CLEANING SOLUTION AND METHODS OF CLEANING A TURBINE ENGINE
A cleaning solution for a turbine engine includes water; a first organic acidic component that comprises citric acid; a second organic acidic component that comprises glycolic acid; isopropylamine sulphonate; alcohol ethoxylate; triethanol amine; and sodium lauriminodipropionate. The cleaning solution has a pH value between about 2.5 and about 7.0.
Formulation for corrosion inhibition
The present disclosure relates to a corrosion inhibitor formulation comprising: a) at least one quaternary ammonium salt; b) at least one fatty acid methyl ester; c) at least one viscosity reducing agent; and d) at least one solubilizing agent, wherein the at least one quaternary ammonium salt to the at least one fatty acid methyl ester weight ratio is in the range of 1:0.2-1:5.0. The instant disclosure further relates to the process of preparation of the corrosion inhibitor formulation.
Iron sulfide dissolver
An aqueous iron sulfide dissolver including zinc, chromium, a methoxybenzoic acid, formic acid, acetic acid, and hydrochloric acid. The iron sulfide dissolver is made by combining these components, and dissolves compounds including iron sulfide upon contact. Evolved hydrogen sulfide reacts with the methoxybenzoic acid to yield solubilized methanethiol as an intermediate product, which is further oxidized to yield dissolved dimethyl disulfide.
Near Neutral pH Pickle on Multi-metals
A near neutral pH pickling composition for the removal of oxides from metallic surfaces, including heat treated steel. The pickling composition comprises a) a water-soluble organic or inorganic nitro compound, wherein a central N atom has an oxidation state of 3+; b) a polarizing agent for the nitro compound, wherein the polarizing agent comprises at least one of a phosphonate and a carboxylate; c) a pH buffer, and d) at least one metal complexing agent. The composition is preferably maintained at a pH between about 4.5 and about 7.5. The near neutral pH pickle composition can be used on various metallic surfaces as well as composite surfaces comprising metallic and non-metallic portions.
ACIDIC HARD SURFACE CLEANERS COMPRISING ALKYLPYRROLIDONES
The need for an acidic liquid hard surface cleaning composition which provides improved removal of grease residues, while still being effective at removing limes-scale, is met by formulating an acidic liquid hard surface cleaning composition with an alkyl pyrrolidone, and additional nonionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: alkoxylated nonionic surfactant, alkyl polyglucoside, and mixtures thereof, while limiting the amount of anionic surfactant present.
Reduced corrosion iron sulfide scale removing fluids
A low-corrosivity composition suitable for dissolving scale on metals. The scale includes iron sulfide scale. The composition includes an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution comprising hydrogen peroxide; and an acidic solution comprising at least one acid, where the hydrogen peroxide and acid are present at concentrations such that the hydrogen peroxide does not break down to form visible bubbles at about room temperature, where the hydrogen peroxide and acid are present at concentrations such that iron sulfide scale is removed from a metal with iron sulfide scale, after the composition contacts the metal and iron sulfide scale at an elevated temperature greater than room temperature, and where the hydrogen peroxide and acid are present at concentrations such that pitting is not caused on the metal, the metal comprising carbon steel.
