MESH FOR HIATAL HERNIA REPAIR AND DEPLOYMENT DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a deployment device that includes (a) an elongate shaft having a first end and a second end, (b) a grasping assembly coupled to the first end of the elongate shaft, where the grasping assembly includes a first jaw and a second jaw rotatable with respect to the elongate shaft, where the grasping assembly is configured to accept a wound closure device between the first jaw and the second jaw, where the wound closure device comprises at least two fixation components connected to and extending therethrough, where each of the first jaw and the second jaw include at least one coupling element configured to be removably coupled to a respective fixation component when the wound closure device is coupled to the grasping assembly, and (c) an actuator coupled to the second end of the elongate shaft, where the actuator is configured to move the grasping assembly between an open position and a closed position.
Abdominal Wall Closure Devices and Methods for Use Thereof
The present disclosure provides a wound closure device that includes (a) a biocompatible material configured to be brought into abutment with a tissue surface, and (b) a plurality of fixation components connected to and extending through the biocompatible material, where at least one of the plurality of fixation components is configured to allow a suture to be connected to and extend through the at least one fixation component.
SUTURE-BASED ASSEMBLY FOR TISSUE REPAIR, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
The present technology is directed to systems, methods, and devices for anchoring suture devices into a target patient tissue to treat a medical condition. For example, in some embodiments the present technology includes a tissue-support system including an applicator device and a suture device. The applicator device is configured to deploy and anchor the suture device in a target tissue. In some embodiments, the suture device is deployed such that an anchor of the suture device is positioned external to the tissue it is anchored to.
Cartridge with multi-clip dispensing provisions
An endoscopic surgical apparatus is configured to be loaded with a replaceable cartridge. The cartridge is loaded with a single-file line-up of a series of endoscopic clips. The endoscopic surgical apparatus is furthermore configured to apply (ie., dispense) each clip serially in the line-up, one clip at a time, wherever and whenever the user (eg., surgeon) chooses.
System and method for treating biological vessels
A system for performing angioplasty and a method of utilizing same are provided. The system includes a balloon mounted on a catheter shaft and an expandable constraining structure mounted over the balloon. The expandable constraining structure includes a plurality of axial struts crossing a plurality of radially-expandable rings being for constraining said balloon such that isolated balloon regions protrude through openings in said constraining structure when the balloon is inflated.
Handling of fasteners within a surgical instrument
Surgical instruments and their methods of use are disclosed. In some embodiments, the surgical instrument may include a handle and an elongated shaft assembly extending distally from the handle. The surgical instrument may also include a fastener deployment system for deploying fasteners from the elongated shaft assembly including a reciprocating driveshaft disposed within the elongated shaft assembly. The driveshaft may include an internal channel and at least one guide surface shaped and arranged to maintain an orientation of at least one fastener in the channel of the driveshaft. In other embodiments, the fastener deployment system may include a follower disposed within the elongated shaft assembly for displacing one or more fasteners within the elongated shaft assembly towards a distal fastener deployment position.
Kit of parts for surgical anchor placement, method for preparing the kit of parts and a method for surgical anchor placement
Disclosed is a tissue anchor system and a kit of parts for surgical anchor placement including a needle having a length of suture attached to a trailing end of the needle. An opposite second end of the suture is provided with a stopper. The kit of parts further includes a plurality of surgical anchors each including an anchor body having a through-going lumen extending from a first opening in a proximal end to a second opening in a distal end. Each of the anchors is provided on the length of suture between the first and the second ends of the suture. Also disclosed is a method of preparing a kit of parts and a method of attaching a surgical implant inside the body of a patient.

Insertion devices, anchors, and methods for securing an implant
In one embodiment, a medical device includes a delivery tool having a carrier member, and a cartridge. The cartridge is coupled to the delivery tool. The cartridge defines an opening. The cartridge is configured to retain an anchor defining a lumen. The carrier member has a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. The carrier member is configured to extend through the lumen defined by the anchor and through the opening defined by the cartridge when the cartridge is coupled to the delivery tool and the carrier member is in its extended configuration.
SUTURE CLIP STAPLER FOR SOFT TISSUE CLOSURE
A suture clip is comprised of a length of suture material with a male clip on one side and a female clip on the other side. The male clip may contain ratchets that, when engaged with the female clip, hold it in place and allow the male clip to adjustably lit within the female clip or even through it to “tighten” the suture when the male and female clips are engaged. The suture clips are configured to be used in a suture clip applicator that contains paired and opposing needles configured to hold the male clip on one side and the female clip on the other side and to cause the engagement of male and female clips and form a continuous loop through the suture material to enable the closure of fascia or other body tissues.
