METHOD FOR DECONTAMINATING A PREFORM WITH REACTIVE SPECIES OBTAINED BY MIXING A PRECURSOR AGENT AND A PLASMA
The invention relates to a method for decontaminating a preform made of thermoplastic material by exposing at least part of the preform to reactive species obtained by mixing a precursor agent with a plasma, the plasma being generated by injection of a carrier gas into a reactor, the method including mixing of the precursor agent with the plasma is carried out exclusively outside the reactor before it is in contact with the preform. The invention also relates to a decontamination device for carrying out the method.
Portable system for the production of oxygen
A portable oxygen generating system is provided that comprises a reaction chamber, a feed system for providing and controlling hydrogen peroxide solution to the reaction chamber, and a cooling/condensing system for cooling the hot oxygen and water vapor leaving the reactor and condensing and removing water. The portable chemical oxygen generation system produces humidified, breathable oxygen, that is substantially free of hydrogen peroxide and other contaminants, at a controlled flow and temperature over an extended period of time.
DECOMPOSITION OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND REMOTE UTILITIES SYSTEM
A flow through decomposition unit has a catalyst between an inlet end and an outlet end. A hydrogen peroxide solution, at 70% by weight hydrogen peroxide or less, is pumped into the inlet end. Steam and oxygen are produced at the outlet end. A system and process provide one or more utilities to a facility, for example a natural gas wellhead separator shed. The decomposition process creates heat, which can be used to heat the facility. The oxygen produced under pressure, and can be used to provide a replacement for other pressurized gasses. Optionally, the system may generate electricity. Optionally, water produced in the process may be used for potable water, process water or to dilute a solution of hydrogen peroxide before it is decomposed. The system includes a hydrogen peroxide tank, a decomposition unit with a catalyst, a heat exchanger, optionally a steam knockout and optionally an electrical generator.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REDUCING THE INCREASE IN TEMPERATURE AT THE SURFACE OF THE TERRESTRIAL GLOBE, VEHICLE AND STATION FOR IMPLEMENTING SAID METHOD
Disclosed is a method for reducing the increase in temperature at the surface of the earth and the increase in the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere due to the fossil fuel and non-fossil fuel combustion operations, remarkable in that it consists in reducing the increase in the temperature of the earth and the increase in the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which reductions in the temperature of the earth and of the content of carbon dioxide are achieved by reducing the drop in the oxygen content in the atmosphere, which reduction in the drop in the oxygen content includes: producing pure oxygen or producing hydrogen peroxide, and using for fuel combustion the oxygen or hydrogen peroxide to reduce the consumption of oxygen contained in the air during the combustion operations. Also disclosed is the device, the vehicle and the plant for carrying out the method.
OXYGEN-GENERATING CRYOGELS
Disclosed are nanocomposite oxygen-generating cryogels and their uses in reducing hypoxia in a biological tissue, such as a tumor. Methods of treating cancer with the disclosed cryogels are also provided.
Modular portable oxygen generator
The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a modular portable oxygen generator including a reactor container having two vertical compartments, where one of the compartments houses a cartridge while another houses oxygen storage tank. The arrangement is provided with a mechanism to guide the oxygen generated in the cartridge after triggering to a defined outlet. The modular portable oxygen generator is light weight, easy to carry and easy to use with minimal maintenance as compared to heavy oxygen cylinders and generator.
Portable chemical oxygen generator
A portable chemical oxygen generator for delivering oxygen to a patient is described. The generator includes a housing containing a reaction chamber. Within the reaction chamber is a quantity of a peroxide adduct. A valve is provided with a lower portion of the valve in fluid communication with the reaction chamber. An upper portion of the valve is in fluid communication with a reservoir that holds a quantity of an aqueous solution. An internal chamber is formed within the valve by releasable seals that separate the internal chamber from the upper portion of the valve and a lower portion of the valve. The internal chamber holds a quantity of a peroxide-decomposing catalyst. The generator also includes a valve actuator. Operation of the valve actuator releases the seals in the valve and creates a fluid path from the reservoir through the internal chamber into the reaction chamber. When the valve is actuated, the aqueous solution flows from the reservoir through the internal chamber and into the reaction chamber. This flow washes the catalyst into the reaction chamber along with the aqueous solution. The solution and catalyst mix with the peroxide adduct and cause an oxygen-generating reaction.
Activated carbon catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition, method for producing same, and method for decomposing hydrogen peroxide by using same
Disclosed herein are an activated carbon catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition, a preparation method thereof and a hydrogen peroxide decomposition method using the same. The activated carbon catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition, provided in an aspect of the present invention may be easily prepared through the carbonization and activation of an ion exchange resin, and safer and higher decomposition efficiency of hydrogen peroxide may be achieved than the conventional catalyst for hydrogen peroxide decomposition through the control of the manganese content and pore properties in the catalyst.
