ADSORBER FOR PURIFYING OR SEPARATING A GAS STREAM COMPRISING A REMOVABLE FILLING SYSTEM
An adsorber for purifying or separating a gas stream, wherein a granular-material filling system is made up of a cylinder that is perforated over all or part of its height, of the top end thereof of diameter Dext, and of the bottom end thereof. The distance Din-Dext is greater than twice the size of particles of the second granular material. A first granular material and the second granular material follow one another in the direction of circulation of the gas stream and are such that M>ADN. And, the second granular material is in contact both with at least a part of the outer surface of the granular-material filling system and at least a part of the inner surface of the domed top end.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING A RESPIRATORY DISORDER
Apparatus provide gas sensing operations such as for oxygen concentration sensing with an oxygen concentrator. In some versions, gas concentration sensing apparatus with pressure, temperature and/or mass flow sensors measure characteristics of a gas mixture in a vessel. A controller of the apparatus may estimate concentration of a constituent gas in the gas mixture as a function of the measured pressure, temperature and mass flow rate. In some versions, the sensing apparatus may measure a thermal conductivity of enriched gas, and, with a controller, estimate concentration of argon in the enriched gas from the thermal conductivity. The controller may estimate concentration of oxygen in the enriched gas from the concentration of argon. In some versions, an oxygen concentrator may have a mass flow sensor and a controller configured to trigger bolus delivery and/or measure oxygen concentration, and/or regulate bolus profile based on signals from the mass flow sensor.
Rotary valve assembly for pressure swing adsorption system
A rotary control valve and a sieve bed module assembly for use in pressure swing adsorption processes to make enriched oxygen product gas is disclosed. The valve includes a stepping motor with a single shaft extending between ends. At ends of the valve, an air side valve function and oxygen side valve function are provided. Each end includes a stationary plate (stator) with ports, and a disc (rotor) that rotates with the shaft, opening and closing ports to achieve the desired valve function. The valve is integrated into the assembly between two sieve beds and a product storage tank is directly coupled to the oxygen side. Placement of the motor, shaft, and movable parts in the valve and mounting of the beds, valve, and tank in the assembly, result in more compact designs. The motor can be programmed to obtain multiple, different PSA processes and flexibility.
Integrated GTL process
An integrated process for converting light hydrocarbon gases into products. Pre-packaged equipment such as a gas turbine and process compressors may be used to efficiently integrate the process. The gas turbine may provide a portion of the oxygen required in the process as compressed air. An additional oxygen rich stream may be provided by a separate air separation process so that the combined air and oxygen rich streams have an oxygen content of 25% to 50%. The gas turbine may also provide thermal energy to pre-heat the oxygen rich stream and feed gas stream and power to run compressors, air separation, and auxiliaries in the process.
GAS CONCENTRATOR WITH REMOVABLE CARTRIDGE ADSORBENT BEDS
A portable oxygen concentrator designed for medical use where the sieve beds, adsorbers, are designed to be replaced by a patient. The concentrator is designed so that the beds are at least partially exposed to the outside of the system and can be easily released by a simple user-friendly mechanism. Replacement beds may be installed easily by patients, and all gas seals will function properly after installation.
Oxygen gas concentrator with outlet accumulator
An oxygen concentrator comprises a product tank that is fluidly coupled to at least one sieve bed, and a product gas accumulator tank that is fluidly coupled to the product tank via a first conduit and to an outlet port via a second conduit, wherein the first conduit and the second conduit are disposed to allow at least a portion of product gas to flow from the product tank to the outlet port.
Improved Method and System of Carbon Sequestration and Carbon Negative Power System
An improved method and system of carbon sequestration of a pyrolysis piston engine power system is provided. The system includes a pyrolysis piston engine for generating power and exhaust gas and a water cooling and separation unit which receives the exhaust gas and cools and removes water from the exhaust gas to create C02 gas supply. The system also includes a mixing pressure vessel which receives at least a portion of the C02 gas supply from the water cooling and separation unit and mixes the C02 gas supply with oxygen to create a working fluid to be provided to the piston engine and an oxygen generator for providing oxygen to the mixing pressure vessel. The system also includes a pyrolysis interface for inputting byproducts from a pyrolysis system, wherein the pyrolysis interface comprises a pyrolysis gas interface and a pyrolysis gas/oil interface.
PROCESS FOR REMOVING OXYGEN FROM A HYDROGEN STREAM
A pressure swing adsorption process is provided to remove oxygen from a hydrogen stream through the use of a copper material in combination with layers of adsorbent to remove water, C2 and C3 hydrocarbons, as well as other impurities. The feed gas comprises more than 70 mol % hydrogen, at least 1 mol % methane and more than 10 ppmv oxygen. The purified product hydrogen stream comprises greater than 99 mol % hydrogen, with less than 1 ppmv oxygen.
Recovery of oxygen used in ozone production
A method of continuous ozone production using a system of four absorbent beds to separate an ozone and oxygen gas mixture generated in an ozone generator. The beds are operated according to an offset sequence of cycles. Oxygen passing through the beds is at least partially recycled for use in further ozone generation. The concentration of oxygen in the ozone product can be reduced using the system to make it suitable for use in fine chemical applications.
