Repositionable Tissue-Engagement Member And Associated Systems And Methods

A tissue-engagement member having a pair of jaws movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration, an actuator movable to shift the jaws between the closed and open configurations, and a biasing element biasing the jaws into a closed configuration. The biasing element may be provided over a portion of the tissue-engagement member. A cam mechanism may be provided in operative association with at least one of the jaws and/or the actuator. The biasing element may operatively engage at least one of the jaws and/or the actuator to actuate the cam mechanism to return the jaws to a closed configuration from an open configuration. A manipulator having an actuator-engagement element may be provided to engage an actuation element operatively associated with the actuator. The actuator-engagement element may operatively engage the actuation element in a range of orientations.

REPOSITIONABLE OVER THE SCOPE CLIP
20230036540 · 2023-02-02 ·

A clipping system includes a pusher element, a holder mounted over an insertion device and clips stacked along a length of the holder. The holder includes a longitudinally channel.

Each clip extends along a curvature defining a tissue-receiving space therewithin and extends about the holder with an exterior surface of the holder holding the clip open with the first and second ends of the clip separated from one another to receive a tissue therein. Each clip is independently deployable from the holder so that, upon release of the clip from the holder, the clip reverts to a closed configuration. In the closed configuration, the first and second ends are moved toward one another to reduce a size of the tissue-receiving space so that tissue is gripped therewithin. The element is mounted over the holder and moved distally along the holder to independently deploy each clips.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TISSUE RETRACTION

The present disclosure relates to the field of tissue dissection. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to medical devices that lift and retract tissue during a dissection procedure to improve visualization of the target tissue and mitigate obstructions for dissection tools. In particular, the present disclosure relates to devices that transition from a constrained to an unconstrained bowed configuration to immobilize and retract the dissected portion of target tissue during a dissection procedure.

Hemostasis clip short system

A device includes a capsule along with first and second clip arms, proximal ends of which are received within the channel so that the first and second clip arms are movable relative to one another between an open configuration and a closed configuration. A deployment mechanism includes a tension member connected to a proximal end of the first and second arms, a yoke releasably coupled to the tension member and longitudinally movable relative to the capsule to move the first and second arms between the open and closed configurations. The tension member and yoke are configured to separate from one another in response to a predetermined proximal force relative to the tension member. A locking mechanism is coupled to the deployment mechanism and is configured to engage the capsule to lock the one-piece clipping element in the closed configuration, when the yoke is separated from the tension member.

Devices and methods for reducing a dimension of openings in tissue

A clip for reducing a dimension of an opening in tissue may include a continuous member having a plurality of legs and a plurality of preformed bends connecting adjacent legs, wherein the plurality of legs form: a first group having two protrusions; a second group having two protrusions; and a third group having two protrusions, wherein each protrusion of each group includes two legs of the continuous member and a corresponding preformed bend connecting the two legs, and each protrusion of each group extends from a region adjacent a first end of the clip to a region adjacent a second end of the clip.

SUTURE METHOD

A suture method includes a first arrangement step of using a first treatment device including first/second grasping pieces to hook the first grasping piece to a first position of peripheral tissues of a lesion; a second arrangement step of hooking the second grasping piece to a second position of the peripheral tissues; a grasping step of grasping the first position and the second position while pressing the first position and the second position to the peripheral tissues; a retracting step of retracting the lesion site toward a proximal end side of the first treatment device while drawing the first position and the second position grasped by the first treatment device; and a suturing step of suturing a first suturing position at an external side of the first position and a second suturing position at an external side of the second position in the peripheral tissues.

ENDOSCOPIC CLOSURE DEVICE

A closure device with a fixed upper jaw and a pivoting lower jaw, and a hook like tooth extending from the upper jaw such that the upper jaw may be used to engage distal mucosa tissue and pull the tissue over a mucosal defect while engaging proximal tissue with the lower jaw. This configuration allowing the closure of mucosal defects that are wider than the jaw span of the closure device

Implantable medical devices for connecting tissue layers or occluding body conduits and tissue structures include apposition portions, a central region, and a covering material. The methods of using the devices include endoscopic deployment, and the devices may include self-expanding frameworks that facilitate a secure connection between the tissue structures. In some embodiments, one or more tethers are used to longitudinally contract the device in situ.

CLOSURE DEVICE WITH FIXED JAW HOOK

A device includes a capsule extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a channel extending therethrough. The capsule is releasably coupled to a proximal portion of the device. Device also includes a first arm rigidly fixed to the distal end of the capsule to extend distally therefrom. In addition, Device includes a second arm, a proximal end of which is slidably received within the capsule so that the second arm is movable between an open configuration, in which the second arm is moved laterally away from the first arm and a distal end of the second arm is moved distally past the distal end of the first arm, and a closed configuration, in which the second arm is moved toward the first arm and the distal end of the second arm is moved proximally toward the distal end of the first arm.
