WOUND CLOSURE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A device includes a housing, a tissue engager, and a closing mechanism. The housing can be placed over a wound, and the tissue engager can engage a portion of tissue proximate the wound. The closing mechanism is coupled to the housing and the tissue engager and can move the tissue engager from an open position to a closed position to close the wound.
BANDAGE
A bandage comprising a base substrate, a wound covering portion, a first side coupling member and a second side coupling member, and a first side and second side adhesive portion. The base substrate includes a central region, a first side region and a second side region, and comprises an elastic member. The wound covering portion is positioned over the central region. The first side coupling member extends over the first side region. The second side coupling member extending over the second region. The first side adhesive portion is positioned on the first side region. The second side adhesive portion positioned on the second side region. A method of use as well as a protective carrier are likewise disclosed.
Closure device
A closure device 100 that closes a wound on a skin includes a pair of sheet members 41a, 41b that have an axial direction da and a width direction db orthogonal to the axial direction da and face each other with a space 41s provided in the width direction db, and a plurality of closure elements 2a, 2b that are attached to the pair of sheet members 41a, 41b across the space 41s and arranged in the axial direction da. The closure element 2a, 2b respectively include bases 10a, 10b and adjusters 30a, 30b that are arranged on the pair of sheet members 41a, 41b to face each other across the space 41s, and drawstrings 20a, 20b that extend from the bases 10a, 10b and engage with the adjusters 30a, 30b. The pair of sheet members 41a, 41b include a plurality of slits 51, 52 provided in a plurality of areas, each of the plurality of areas being provided between pairs of the closure elements 2a, 2b adjacent to each other.
FORCE MODULATING TISSUE BRIDGES, ASSOCIATED TOOLS, KITS, AND METHODS
Force modulating tissue bridges, and associated applicators, kits and methods are provided. A force modulating tissue bridge can be a medical article for at least partially covering a wound and/or scar tissue. The medical article can include an elastic arch extending over an area, and a medial strut connected to the arch and extending into the area over which the central section extends.
WOUND CLOSURE APPARATUS
A wound closure apparatus pertaining to the field of skin wound sutures, comprising a window body, zippers, and fixators. The window body comprises a body wall and top wall. The zippers are set at both sides of the window body. One end of the zippers are connected to the fixators, and the other end are connected to the window body. fixed adhesive layers are set on the bottom surface of the fixators facing the skin. The wound closure apparatus enables functional modules necessary for wound treatment to reliably, continuously, and directly act on the treatment area, effectively preventing exudate accumulation from causing the suture device to fall off the wound, secondary infection, suture failure, or staggered malunion, allowing for better physiological regeneration and healing.
Methods and apparatus for inhibiting scar formation
Scar formation is inhibited by simultaneously applying a vertical force and a lateral compression to the wound site during the healing process. Apparatus for applying such simultaneous forces can include a backing and a tissue displacement device. The backing holds the tissue displacement device over the wound. The tissue displacement device may be expanded to both apply the vertical force against the wound and to draw the backing radially or laterally inward to apply the desired compression forces to the wound.
MICROSTRUCTURE-BASED SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND METHODS FOR WOUND CLOSURE
Systems, apparatus, and methods related to wound closure devices comprising one or more microstructures are described herein. In some embodiments, the wound closure devices include a backing and a microstructure array. The microstructure array may include a first portion, a second portion, and a bridge portion. The first portion and the second portion each include one or more microstructures configured to penetrate tissue. Additionally, the first portion and the second portion each include one or more expandable portions such that the wound closure device is configured to expand in length. The wound closure device is configured to grip tissue surrounding a wound to either close the wound or secure the tissue in place.
TISSUE CARE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
Tissue care devices and methods of using the same are disclosed. The tissue care devices can have one or multiple expanded configurations and one or multiple contracted configurations. The tissue care devices can be expandable and/or contractible. The tissue devices can have an increasable and/or decreasable outer perimeter.
COMPONENTS FOR USE IN COMBINATION EXTERNAL FIXATION AND NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF
Devices for use with combined external fixation and negative pressure wound therapy systems are disclosed. These devices include a clamping grommet for disposal about a percutaneous device and a wound dressing. Systems and kits including these devices, as well as methods of production and use thereof, are also disclosed.
Apical surgical wound debridement
Apical wound debridement methods for wound healing provides a geometry of the wound area that enhances healing, either when using these methods alone or in combination with other wound healing grafts and medical devices. Further, the wound healing is used at a variety of locations where wounds are found, such as but not limited to the foot, ankle, leg, back, neck, arms, hands and face.
