A system for harvesting nitrogen, comprising a motored robotic litter processing vehicle including an elongate housing creating an inner space for mounting components. A nitrogen harvester box connected to a rear portion of the vehicle is provided including a vacuum canopy connecting four sides to a floor, and wheels. A scoop level to ground having an opening facing the vehicle is enabled to collect litter material including nitrogen. A sieve screen having a mesh size positioned laterally at a height above the floor enables nitrogen particles smaller than the mesh size to fall through the sieve and nitrogen particles larger than the mesh size to be captured on a top surface of the sieve, wherein a vacuum chute collects the particles smaller than the mesh size and deposits them into a collection bin.

AIR SEPARATION MODULES AND METHODS OF REMOVING CONDENSATE FROM AIR SEPARATION MODULES

An air separation module includes a cylindrical canister and a separator. The cylindrical canister has a longitudinal axis, an inlet, an oxygen-depleted air outlet, and a drain portion with an oxygen-enriched air outlet. The separator is arranged within the cylindrical canister to separate a compressed air flow into an oxygen-depleted air flow fraction and an oxygen-enriched air flow fraction, the oxygen-depleted air flow fraction provided to the oxygen-depleted air outlet and the oxygen-enriched air flow fraction to the drain portion of the canister. The drain portion extends tangentially from the cylindrical canister to issue the oxygen-enriched air flow fraction with entrained condensate from the oxygen-enriched air outlet with a tangential flow component. Nitrogen generation systems and methods of removing condensate from air separation modules are also described.

Process for recovering valuables from vent gas in polyolefin production

A process for recovering valuables from vent gas in polyolefin production is disclosed. The process includes a compression cooling separation step, a heavy hydrocarbon separation step, a light hydrocarbon separation step, a N.sub.2 purification step, and a turbo expansion step in sequence. The N.sub.2 purification step comprises a membrane separation procedure. The light hydrocarbon separation step comprises at least one gas-liquid separation procedure. A first gas, which is obtained by the gas-liquid separation procedure and is heated through heat exchange with multiple streams in the light hydrocarbon separation step, enters the heavy hydrocarbon separation step and is further heated; the heated first gas then enters the N.sub.2 purification step; a first generated gas, which is obtained by the membrane separation procedure of the N.sub.2 purification step, enters the heavy hydrocarbon separation step and the light hydrocarbon separation step in sequence, and is cooled through heat exchange with multiple streams in the heavy hydrocarbon separation step and the light hydrocarbon separation step; and then the cooled first generated gas enters the turbo expansion step. The energy consumption of a compressor can be greatly reduced. An external cooling medium with a temperature lower than an ambient temperature is not needed. The purity and recovery of N.sub.2 and hydrocarbons can be improved, which can facilitate reduction of energy consumption of a whole system, an investment, and a material consumption.

In embodiments of the present disclosure, a CMS hollow fiber membranes may be prepared to have an ultrathin (e.g. 2 microns or less) separation layer. A precursor hollow fiber may be prepared as dual layer fibers having a thin sheath layer and a core layer. During pyrolysis, the sheath layer is transformed into an ultrathin separation layer. Porosity of the core layer substrate is well-maintained during pyrolysis, thereby enabling high permeance of the CMS hollow fiber membrane. Additionally, in some embodiments, the sheath layer of the precursor hollow fibers may be hybridized prior to pyrolysis. By hybridizing the sheath layer prior to pyrolysis, a CMS hollow fiber may having an improved separation factor, including for example increased carbon dioxide/methane selectivity, may be provided.
