ANASTOMOSIS DEVICE
20210401435 · 2021-12-30 ·

An anastomosis device includes a housing that has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion of the housing supports a first suture deployment assembly and the second end portion of the housing supports a second suture deployment assembly. Each of the suture deployment assemblies includes a drive member and a plurality of sutures. Each of the plurality of sutures supports a tissue piercing member. The drive members are engaged with the tissue piercing members and are movable to eject the tissue piercing members and the sutures from the first and second suture deployment assemblies.

Systems and methods for percutaneous intravascular access and guidewire placement

A device for creating intravascular access and guidewire placement includes a main body having a lumen and a piercing member disposed in the lumen. The piercing member moves distally out of the lumen and pierces tissue while moving. A needle guide is provided for guiding the piercing member, the needle guide having a distal end which comprises a first alignment member. A guidewire has a distal tip with a second alignment member disposed on the guidewire distal tip. The first alignment member may comprise a magnetic attachment, at least one magnetic implant, a proximity sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, or other suitable system for alignment of devices disposed on opposing sides of opaque tissue. Similarly, the second alignment member may comprise a magnetic attachment or implant, a proximity sensor, or an ultrasonic sensor.

Methods for treating hypertension and reducing blood pressure with formation of fistula

Described here are devices and methods for treating hypertension by forming a fistula between two blood vessels to reduce blood pressure of a patient. The fistula may be formed using a catheter having an electrode that is placed in a first blood vessel. In some instances, a desired amount of blood pressure is determined. In other instances, the hypertension is drug resistant hypertension.

Device and method for establishing an artificial arterio-venous fistula

A shunt rivet for implantation between a first body space and a second body space in a patient, such as to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

TRANSCATHETER PERCUTANEOUS BALLOON VALVULOTOMY

An in-situ non-reversed femoral-popliteal bypass procedure is provided, the procedural method embodies harvesting a portion of a saphenofemoral junction as the anastomosis for said in-situ non-reversed femoral-popliteal bypass, wherein a portion of the common femoral vein is the patch of the proximal end of the anastomosis. The practitioner may intubate the anastomosis through its distal end with an expandable balloon- prior to grafting said proximal end to the femoral artery; and selectively expanding the expandable balloon at or near said proximal end.

PARTIAL EVERSION ANASTOMOSIS JUNCTURE FORMATION AND SUTURING

Disclosed embodiments include apparatuses, systems, and methods for facilitating surgical anastomosis between bodily passages. In an illustrative embodiment, an eversion mechanism is configured to partially evert a distal portion of an opening of a receiving passage and further configured to leave a proximal portion of the opening of the receiving passage in a non-everted position. A donor support mechanism is configured to partially evert a distal portion of an opening at an end of a donor passage and further configured to leave a first proximal portion of the end of the donor passage in a non-everted position. The donor support mechanism is further configured to form a passage juncture at the end of the donor passage and the opening of the receiving passage. A suturing mechanism is configured to motivate a filament through a generally helical path around the passage juncture to suture the donor passage to the receiving passage.

INDUCTOR-CAPACITOR BASED SENSOR APPARATUSES

An example sensor apparatus includes two inductors with a first elastomer material between and at least one capacitor coupled to the two inductors. The at least one capacitor is configured, while in use, to at least partially wrap a circumference of an object and to exhibit a change in impedance in response to a pressure-manifestation change associated with the object, the change in impedance is to cause a change in the resonant frequency of the two inductors.

LOW-COST 3D-PRINTED TOOL WITH MULTIAXIAL/ANGULAR VESSEL ORIENTATION FOR MICROVASCULAR ANASTOMOSIS TRAINING

A ethically sound, safe, feasible, and cost-effective microsurgery practice technique that can easily be practiced by trainees having different skill levels and an adjustable device for holding and manipulating vascular tissue during microsurgery practice, especially for practicing anastomoses.
