The method includes supplying a composition La.sub.xSr.sub.yCo.sub.zM.sub.wO.sub.3, where x ranges from 0.5 to 1, y ranges 0.0 to 1-x, z ranges from 0.1 to 1.0, and M is a dopant or dopants where w ranges from 0.0 to 1-z; and energizing the composition directly using electromagnetic energy to heat the composition to a temperature above 700? C. The method further includes contacting the composition with a reactant gas mixture comprising methane and an oxidant forming a product gaseous mixture.

A eutectic supported catalyst system is used in catalyzed chemical reactions. A metal catalyst particle is supported in a eutectic medium. The system may have a) a eutectic composition of at least two metals forming the eutectic composition; and b) metal catalyst particles, preferably of nanometer dimensions, such as from 0.5 to 50 nm. The particles are dispersed throughout the eutectic composition when the eutectic composition is solid, and the particles are dispersed or suspended throughout the eutectic composition when the eutectic composition is in liquid form. At least one metal of the eutectic may comprises lead and a metal in the metal catalyst is a different metal then the metals in the eutectic. The eutectic may be in a liquid state and the metal catalyst particles may be in an equilibrium state within the eutectic.

A metal/-MoC.sub.1-x load-type single-atomic dispersion catalyst, a synthesis method therefor, and applications thereof. The catalyst uses -MoC.sub.1-x as carrier, and has metal that has the mass fraction ranging from 1-100% and that is dispersed on carrier -MoC.sub.1-x in the single atom form. The catalyst provided in the present application can be adapted to a wide alcohol/water proportion in hydrogen production based on aqueous-phase reforming of alcohols, outstanding hydrogen production performance can be obtained at a variety of proportions, and catalysis performance of the catalyst is much higher than that of metal loaded with an oxide carrier. Especially when the metal is Pt, catalysis performance of the catalyst provided in the present application in the hydrogen production based on aqueous-phase reforming of alcohols is much higher than that of a Pt/-MoC.sub.1-x load-type catalyst on the -MoC.sub.1-x carrier on which Pt is disposed on a layer form in the prior art. The hydrogen production performance of the catalyst provided in the present application can be higher than 20,000 h.sup.1 at the temperature of 190 C.

The current disclosure is directed to a hydrogen-storage system that employs catalytic dehydrogenation of low-molecular-weight amines in a hydrogen reactor. The hydrogen-storage system comprises aliphatic amines and di-amines as organic carriers that store hydrogen covalently, a hydrogen reactor that releases and separates hydrogen gas from the carrier, and metal or metal-oxide catalysts that promote a dehydrogenation reaction to release hydrogen. In certain implementations, a metal or metal-oxide catalyst may be carried on high-surface-area support materials, such as gamma-alumina and metal-organic-framework materials, to enhance catalytic properties. The hydrogen reactor may be a packed-bed reactor, a monolith reactor, or a flow-through hydrogen-membrane reactor. In one implementation, the flow-through hydrogen-membrane reactor comprises an inlet through which the organic hydrogen carrier flows into the reactor, a hydrogen-separation membrane selectively permeable to hydrogen, a recirulation outlet for removing unspent organic carrier, and a hydrogen outlet for releasing hydrogen and reaction byproducts. The spent organic carrier are collected and hydrogenated to regenerate the original fuel.

CATALYST STRUCTURE FOR SYNTHESIS GAS PRODUCTION, SYNTHESIS GAS PRODUCTION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CATALYST STRUCTURE FOR SYNTHESIS GAS PRODUCTION

A catalyst structure for synthesis gas production is used to produce a synthesis gas that includes carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The structure includes a carrier with a porous structure that comprises a zeolite-type compound; first catalyst particles that contain at least one iron-group element selected from the group consisting of nickel, iron, and cobalt; and a second catalyst that contains at least one transition metal element with redox capacity. The carrier includes, inside thereof, mutually communicating passages; the first catalyst particles are present at least in the passages of the carrier; and the second catalyst is present at least in the interior or on an outer surface of the carrier.

NANOCATALYSTS, PREPARATION METHODS AND APPLICATIONS FOR REFORMING CARBON DIOXIDE AND METHANE TO SYNGAS

The catalyst in this present application includes a support and an active component dispersed on/in the support; wherein the support is at least one selected from inorganic oxides and the support contains macropores and mesopores; and the active component includes an active element, and the active element contains an iron group element. As a high temperature stable catalyst for methane reforming with carbon dioxide, the catalyst can be used to produce syngas, realizing the emission reduction and recycling utilization of carbon dioxide. Under atmospheric pressure and at 800 C., the supported metal catalyst with hierarchical pores shows excellent catalytic performance. In addition to high activity and good selectivity, the catalyst has high stability, high resistance to sintering and carbon deposition.

The present invention relates to a device for producing compressed hydrogen, comprising a pressure-resistant reactor (1) with a reactor chamber having a metal-containing contact mass (2), wherein the reactor (1) comprises at least one feed line (3) for feeding fluids into the reactor chamber and at least one discharge line (4) for discharging fluids from the reactor chamber, wherein the at least one discharge line is provided with a device (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) for controlling or regulating the flow rate, preferably having a valve, for adjusting the pressure within the reactor chamber, wherein a conveyance means is provided on at least one feed line for introducing a water-containing medium into the reactor chamber and wherein at least one discharge line (4) protrudes into the reactor chamber or opens directly into the reactor chamber, through which the compressed hydrogen is discharged from the reactor chamber, wherein the reactor chamber exhibits at least two areas that are separate from each other and connected in a gas-conducting manner, of which at least one area comprises the metal-containing contacting mass (2) and at least one additional area comprises at least one inert material (7, 13).

In various aspects, the present disclosure is directed to methods and compositions for the simultaneous production of carbon nanotubes and hydrogen gas from lower hydrocarbon comprises methane, ethane, propane, butane, or a combination thereof utilizing the disclosed catalysts. In various aspects, the disclosure relates to methods for COx-free production of hydrogen with concomitant production of carbon nanotubes. Also disclosed are methods and compostions for selective base grown carbon nanotubes over a disclosed catalyst composition. In a further aspect, the disclosure relates to mono, bimetallic, and trimetallic catalysts comprising a 3d transition metal (e.g., Ni, Fe, Co, Mn, Cr, Mo, and combinations thereof) over a support material selected from a silica, an alumina, a zeolite, titatnium dioxide, and combinations thereof.
